Grease Filter Exchange in Surrey

Grease filter exchange in Surrey: how it works

Think of filter exchange as routine care for the extract. Between full cleans, it keeps the airflow healthy, and it saves your staff a greasy job. Full TR19 cleaning still comes at the right interval, with a certificate. The work covers restaurants and pubs, wall canopies and baffle filters, and the jobs we see most are a canopy that drips grease and gaps where filters have been removed.

Night work is normal for us. A lot of visits happen overnight or at weekends, so a kitchen or building can carry on as usual the next day. The visit itself takes less than an hour in most kitchens.

  1. We count and measure the filters in every canopy.
  2. Together we set how often the filters should be changed.
  3. Each visit starts with the used filters being removed.
  4. Clean, dry filters are fitted in their place, with no gaps left between them.
  5. Anything we notice, such as bent filters or a dirty plenum, is pointed out.

Ask for a quote

There’s no standard price list, because every site is different. Instead, we look at your site first, from pictures or a survey, and then give you a fixed quote. To start, give us a ring on 0345 646 2711, or send details by email.

Near you in Guildford

We work in commercial kitchens and buildings around Surrey Maths School, Sandfield Primary School and Guildford High School and the streets around them. Also close by are Church of St John the Evangelist (within half a mile east), Stoke Park (less than half a mile east) and The King's Head pub (within half a mile south-east). The nearest railway station is London Road (Guildford) station, about 0.6 miles south-east. Nearby you’ll also find Guildford Castle (0.9 miles south) and Guildford House (0.8 miles south). Green spaces nearby include Silent Pool and Pewley Hill.

Grease filter exchange across Surrey: local notes

Kitchens across Surrey cook for very different hours, from all-day town-centre sites to part-time hall and school kitchens. The right interval comes from hours of use and grease readings.

Much of our work across London and the South East happens in the evening, overnight or at weekends, so sites in Surrey can keep trading.

Guildford: Church and community hall kitchens, near Church of St John the Evangelist or anywhere around Guildford, are easy to forget, but their extracts collect grease like any other. If you cook for passing trade around London Road (Guildford) station, the extract can be cleaned between your last and first customer.

Looking after it afterwards

Results last longer with the right care. Here’s what we suggest:

  • Watch for grease drips between visits
  • Clear anything stored on or near the canopy
  • Tell us if a filter is bent or damaged
  • Keep the extract on whenever the range is in use

If the plenum behind the filters looks greasy, we say so. It can be a sign that a full TR19® clean is due, and we can arrange it.

A kitchen that’s getting busier needs its filters changed more often. Changing the interval early stops grease building up unseen in the ducts.

What happens if it’s left?

Once filters are saturated, more grease gets past them. That makes the next full clean a bigger job and grease readings can rise between cleans.

Comparing quotes

  • What happens if part of the system cannot be accessed
  • When the next visit should be, and why
  • Whether the quote is based on a survey or photos

Fixed quotes for grease filter exchange in Surrey

The survey tells us what the work involves. The main factors are:

  • Any permits to work or inductions
  • Access, including roofs, risers and ceiling voids
  • Where the site is and how we reach it
  • The scale of the work

We don’t list prices on the website, because the cost depends on the site in front of us. For a fixed quote, ring 0345 646 2711, or send details by email, and we’ll explain what it covers.

What to send for a quote

We can often survey from photos. Try to include:

  • Problems your staff have spotted
  • The paperwork from the last visit, if you have it
  • How we’d reach plant on a roof or in a plant room
  • The times we could work without disrupting the site

To help us quote: where the site is, what it is and its opening hours, pictures of the system and any previous report or certificate. Then give us a ring on 0345 646 2711 or drop us a line.

Part by part

School, care home and staff kitchens

For kitchens closed in the holidays, visits can be timed around term or rota so the filters are clean when cooking picks up.

Canopy filter housings

The trough or channel under the filters fills with grease. If it needs attention, we’ll tell you.

Landlords, agents and facilities managers

If you look after several sites, we can plan visits across the whole estate and price them together. Every building has its own written report, so records stay tidy.

When the building owner and the occupier are different, the lease normally sets out who maintains what. We can quote either party, and the report can go to both.

Surrey: your questions answered

What happens to the dirty filters?

Yes. Used filters go with us to be cleaned and the clean set stays in the canopy.

What about areas you cannot get to?

We never leave them off the paperwork. You will know exactly which parts weren’t reached and why, along with a quote to put access in.

Do you offer maintenance contracts?

Yes. Scheduled maintenance plans are part of what we do, with visits at the interval your system needs. Each report recommends when the next visit should be.

How much does a filter exchange service cost?

The cost depends on your filters and the schedule. Just phone us on 0345 646 2711 or email us for a fixed quote once we know your canopies.

How much notice do you need?

For planned work, earlier is better, especially if the next clean or test is due soon. For emergencies, we take calls 24/7.

Can we skip TR19 cleans if the filters are changed regularly?

No. Filters do not catch everything, so grease still reaches the ductwork and the whole system still needs its TR19 clean.

Do you have a 24/7 line?

Yes. For anything urgent, such as a fan failure or damage after a fire, ring the 24/7 line and we will talk you through the next steps.
