Kitchen extract cleaning in UB2

Our kitchen extract cleaning service in UB2

We have been trading since 2009, cleaning kitchen extracts across the South East and London. As a BESCA Vent Hygiene Elite member, we clean to BESA TR19® Grease, and we hold CHAS, SafeContractor and ISO 9001 and are fully insured. The work covers horizontal duct runs, canopies and hoods and vertical risers, and the jobs we see most are proof of cleaning requested by an insurer and extraction mentioned at an environmental health visit.

Night work is normal for us. A lot of visits happen overnight or at weekends, so the site can open as normal afterwards. The visit itself takes a single shift for most kitchens, with long duct runs and tall risers needing more time.

  1. We survey the system, from your pictures or on site, canopy to discharge.
  2. We take grease readings at set points and send you a fixed quote.
  3. On the night, the equipment is off and cool and the kitchen is sheeted.
  4. We work through the system from the canopy to the fan and discharge.
  5. We re-test, photograph and send your certificate and photo report.

How we quote

Every site is different, so each one gets its own fixed quote. The size of the job, how we reach it, its condition and the working hours all play a part.

Getting a quote

For kitchen extract cleaning in UB2, ring 0345 646 2711 or email us. Tell us what kind of premises it is and when it’s open, and send photos or your last report if you can. We typically send a fixed quote within one working day.

Local landmarks in Southall

Locally, jobs take us to businesses close to Saint John, Glassy Junction pub and Villiers High School. You’ll also find Minet Country Park (1 mile west) and Hambrough Primary School (under half a mile north). There’s a railway station in Southall itself: Southall station. Other landmarks nearby include Treaty Centre (2.8 miles south) and Museum of Army Music (3.8 miles south). Not far away are Northala Fields and Middle Lake.

Kitchen extracts across UB2

Across UB2, from Southall, Hanwell and West Ealing outwards, kitchens range from town-centre restaurants and takeaways to pubs, hotels, schools and care homes. Every one gets the same full TR19® clean, from the canopy to the discharge.

From central London kitchens to coastal hotels and country pubs, London and the South East have every kind of site. Wherever the site is in UB2, the work is done to the same TR19® standard.

Southall: A hospital like St Bernard's Hospital, about 1.2 miles east, is the kind of site where a kitchen may cook for patients, staff and visitors all day. Commuter trade near Southall station can mean long cooking hours, and long hours put a kitchen into BESA’s more frequent cleaning bands.

Common problems we fix in UB2

Grease in an extract starts as vapour. Once it cools inside the ductwork, it condenses onto every surface it touches, and the layer grows a little with every meal cooked. Filters catch some of it, but never all.

What we’re most often called out for:

  • Missing paperwork after a change of operator
  • Years of baked-on grease in the ducts
  • Grease dripping from the canopy or filters
  • An inspection that picked up a dirty extract

Aftercare tips

Think of this as the after-treatment advice, in brief:

  • Wipe the canopy down at the end of each day
  • Book the next clean before the date on the report
  • Never cook with filters missing or out of place
  • Keep the baffle filters clean

The report gives a recommended date for the next clean, based on your cooking hours and the grease we measured. We can put the system on a 3, 6 or 12-monthly plan, so the date isn’t missed.

Book the next clean before the last one runs out. BESA guidance links the minimum interval to daily cooking hours, so a change in hours may mean a change in interval, and grease readings will show it.

What happens if it’s left?

Putting it off simply moves the grease further down the duct. Over time, soft grease bakes into a harder, thicker crust, and that takes more work to shift. Regular cleans keep each visit shorter.

Comparing quotes

  • Whether they recommend a next date
  • Which accreditations they hold, and whether you can check them
  • What’s included in the scope, part by part
  • Whether inaccessible sections are listed on the report

What affects the cost of kitchen extract cleaning

Every site gets its own quote. This is what makes a difference:

  • How easy every part is to reach
  • The size of the system
  • Parking and loading at the site
  • Whether it’s a one-off visit or part of a schedule

One small site or a whole estate, the quote is built the same way: the work involved, the access and the timing. The price is fixed before work begins.

Asking for a quote

The more you tell us, the more accurate the quote. When you get in touch, it helps to send:

  • A few general shots of the system
  • Any previous report or certificate
  • The site address and the type of premises
  • How we’d reach plant on a roof or in a plant room

Quoting starts with a diagnosis, either from pictures and details you send or from a site visit. Then we send a fixed price so you know the cost before we start.

Part by part

Restaurant and pub kitchens

Grills, fryers and woks send a lot of fat into the extract, and measured readings show whether the minimum interval is enough.

Schools, hospitals and care homes

School kitchens can look lightly used but still need a TR19 clean at least every 12 months under BESA guidance. School holidays are an easy time to do it.

FAQs for UB2

How do you protect the area?

With sheeting and covers, before anything else happens. The work is kept contained and leave the area clean.

What happens if you cannot reach some of it?

Anything we cannot reach goes on the report, with a note of where it is, and we tell you what would make it reachable, for example new access panels.

Do you work with multi-site operators?

Yes. You deal with one contact for every site in our area, with visits on a regular schedule.

Are you a BESCA Vent Hygiene Elite member?

We’re members of Vent Hygiene Elite, the scheme run by BESCA, and we clean to BESA TR19® Grease. We hold CHAS, SafeContractor and ISO 9001 too, and we are fully insured.

Do you have a 24/7 line?

Yes. There’s a 24/7 emergency line, for problems that cannot wait. Call us any time and explain what’s happened.

What does a TR19 kitchen extract clean include?

We clean every part the grease travels through. That means canopy, plenum, filters, ducts, risers, fan and discharge, reached through access panels where needed.

Is there a survey before the work?

Yes, every time. We diagnose before we treat: the survey tells us what the system needs and how to reach it, and the quote is based on that.
