About kitchen extract cleaning in TN7
Has the extract gone a while without a clean, or has the paperwork gone missing? Just call us on 0345 646 2711 or send us an email with pictures of the canopy and filters, and you will have a fixed quote for kitchen extract cleaning in TN7, usually within one working day. The work covers horizontal duct runs, plenums and filters and discharge points, and people most often call us about an inspection that picked up a dirty extract and an extract that has never been cleaned to TR19.
A visit follows the same order every time: protect the area, isolate whatever needs isolating, carry out the kitchen extract cleaning, clear away and hand over the paperwork. The visit itself takes as long as the system needs, from a few hours to several planned visits.
- First the diagnosis: a survey of the whole system and its access points.
- We record grease levels at set points, then fix the price.
- We arrive after close, protect the area and contain the waste.
- The treatment: heavy grease scraped out, then every part degreased to TR19® Grease.
- The sign-off: post-clean readings, a TR19 certificate and a photo report with the next clean date.
Pricing in TN7

How to get a quote
We don’t publish a price list, because every site is different. Instead, we look at your site first, from photos or a survey, and then send you a fixed quote. To start, call us on 0345 646 2711 or drop us a line.

Kitchen extracts across TN7
Kitchens across TN7 cook for very different hours, from all-day town-centre sites to part-time hall and school kitchens. Grease readings and BESA’s minimum intervals set the schedule for each.
From central London kitchens to coastal hotels and country pubs, London and the South East have every kind of site. The same TR19® standard applies to all of them, in TN7 and beyond.
Hartfield: Bassetts Manor, about 1.5 miles north-west, is one of the historic houses near Hartfield; if you run event catering at a venue like that, cleans can be booked between functions. A hospital like Crowborough War Memorial Hospital, about 4 miles south-east, is the kind of site where a kitchen may cook for patients, staff and visitors all day.
Leave it or put it right?
After a fire, one of the first questions is often when the extract was last cleaned. Many policies require cleaning to TR19, and an insurer can refuse or reduce a claim without proof. A certificate in the file answers that question.
What your quote should include
- Whether the price is fixed
- Whether the whole system is included, or only the parts that are easy to reach
- Whether the quote is based on a survey or pictures
- What records you’ll receive afterwards
What affects the quote in TN7
Your quote is based on your site. We consider:
- Whether we need access equipment or extra panels
- Parking and loading at the site
- Site rules, permits and inductions
- A single visit or a regular plan
The cost depends on the size of the system, the condition it’s in and access to every part of it. We give you a fixed price before any work starts, so you know where you stand.
What to send for a quote
What to send for a quote:
- Where the site is and what kind of site it is
- How we’d reach plant on a roof or in a plant room
- Photos showing the whole system and its surroundings
- The times we could work without disrupting the site
Need a price for kitchen extract cleaning? Please give us a ring on 0345 646 2711, or email photos with a few details about the site. We’ll explain what we’d do and send a fixed quote before anything is booked.
What the work involves, part by part
Grease filters
We clean the grease filters as part of the job, and put back so they seat correctly. We will tell you if any need replacing.
Extract fan and discharge
The fan pulls the air through the whole system, and grease that gets past everything else ends up on its blades. It’s isolated, opened and cleaned as part of the TR19 clean.
Why it fails
Grease in the extract matters because it burns. Flames from a pan or grill can be pulled into the canopy by the fan, where burning grease can carry a fire along the ducts and into other parts of the building. For a kitchen in TN7, keeping that fuel under control is part of the fire risk assessment.
What we are most often called out for:
- Ductwork thick with old, hardened grease
- Stale cooking odours from the system
- Poor airflow at the canopy
- Fat running down the canopy edge
Staff cleaning versus specialist work
Staff cleaning and specialist work aren’t the same thing. A daily filter wipe and a weekly filter wash keep grease down at the front of the system, but they don’t reach the grease that builds up further in. Reaching it takes a specialist with the right equipment.
When your team notices a problem between visits, like drips, unusual noise, smells or damaged filters, they should report it rather than try to fix it. We will take a look and give you a fixed quote.
Your questions about kitchen extract cleaning in TN7
Can you price the work without visiting?
In many cases, yes. Photos of the system and the access, plus your opening hours and last report, are often enough. Larger or hidden systems need a survey on site first.
Will my insurer ask for a TR19 certificate?
Extract grease is fuel for a kitchen fire, so many insurers want evidence it’s being cleaned to TR19. Our certificate and photo report give you that evidence.
Can one contract cover all our sites?
Yes. You deal with one contact for every site in our area, and visits can be set on a regular cycle.
Do you survey before quoting?
Yes. Photos often do the job, and larger or hidden systems get a visit.
What about areas you cannot get to?
Anything we cannot reach goes on the report, with photos where possible, and we tell you what would make it reachable, such as extra access panels in ductwork.
What accreditations do you hold?
We clean to BESA TR19® Grease as a BESCA Vent Hygiene Elite member, and certificates go through the BESCA Vent Hygiene Elite portal. We have been trading since 2009.
How much does kitchen extract cleaning cost?
There’s no set price, as it depends on the job: how big it is, what state it’s in, how we reach it and the working hours. You get a fixed price before we start.
