About kitchen extract cleaning in PO7
We have been trading since 2009, cleaning kitchen extracts across the South East and London. As a BESCA Vent Hygiene Elite member, we clean to BESA TR19® Grease, and we are fully insured, with CHAS, SafeContractor and ISO 9001. The work covers discharge points, extract fans and vertical risers, and the jobs we see most are heavy grease build-up inside the duct runs and a kitchen with no current TR19 certificate.
Everything the job needs comes with us, from protective sheeting to tools and access equipment. All we need from you is clear access and the right equipment switched off. The visit takes anything from a few hours to a full night, depending on the size of the system.
- You send photos or we visit, and the system is surveyed from canopy to discharge.
- Grease thickness is measured and the price is fixed before work starts.
- On the night, the equipment is off and cool and the kitchen is sheeted.
- We work through the system from the canopy to the fan and discharge.
- We re-test, photograph and send your certificate and photo report.
How we quote
A single site or a whole portfolio, we price it on the same basis: the work involved, the access and the timing. You’ll have a fixed price before we start.
Why book with us
- Ventilation hygiene specialists since 2009

Ask for a quote
Photos are the quickest way to a quote: wide shots of the system, close-ups of anything that worries you and how we’d get to it. Add the site type and your opening hours, and many jobs can be priced from that alone.
Local landmarks in Waterlooville
We work in commercial kitchens and buildings around Saint George's, The Denmead Queen pub and Hart Plain Junior School and the streets around them. The closest station to Waterlooville is Bedhampton station, roughly 2.6 miles south-east. A little further out are Queen Alexandra Hospital (2.7 miles south-west) and Havant Museum (3.3 miles south-east). For a walk, there’s Portsdown Hill and Southmoor Nature Reserve.
Where we work in PO7
Across PO7, from Havant, Horndean and Waterlooville outwards, kitchens range from town-centre restaurants and takeaways to pubs, hotels, schools and care homes. Every one gets the same full TR19® clean, from the canopy to the discharge.
From central London kitchens to coastal hotels and country pubs, London and the South East have every kind of site. Wherever the site is in PO7, the work is done to the same TR19® standard. Along the coast in PO7, many hotels, pubs and cafés are at their busiest in the summer, so it pays to book work around the busy season.
Waterlooville: Older buildings often hide long, awkward duct runs, and if you run a kitchen at a historic venue in the area (Warblington Castle is about 4 miles south-east), access may need planning. If you look after a school kitchen, at a school such as Hart Plain Junior School or anywhere near Waterlooville, the holidays are the usual time for a TR19® clean.
What affects the cost of kitchen extract cleaning
There’s no set price list, because sites vary so much. The quote depends on:
- The condition of the system
- A single visit or a regular plan
- How big the system is
- Site rules, permits and inductions
Putting the work off seldom saves money. Build-up, wear and faults tend to get worse, not better, and a neglected system can mean more work. If you are not sure what’s needed, call 0345 646 2711, or send details by email for straight advice and a fixed quote.
Asking for a quote
A few details help us quote accurately. With your enquiry, please include:
- Photos showing the whole system and its surroundings
- Your opening hours and when the area is out of use
- Any symptoms, from odd noises to smells or leaks
- How we’d reach plant on a roof or in a plant room
Getting a quote doesn’t take long. Call or email with a few details and you’ll usually have a fixed price within one working day. If we need to see the system first, we book a survey around your hours.
Looking after it afterwards
To keep the system working properly between visits:
- Flag any change in how the extract sounds or works
- Make sure every filter is fitted before cooking
- Do not let the canopy gutters overflow
- Diarise the next clean as soon as you get the certificate
We hand the kitchen back clean, with the sheeting removed and waste taken away. Waste grease and water are contained and removed, so you can start cooking as normal.
Keep the outside of the canopy wiped and any grease cups emptied. A daily wipe is not a deep clean, but it helps between visits.
What staff can safely do
Your own staff can handle the daily basics: wiping canopies, washing grease filters and recording it in a log. Inside the ducts, risers and fan is specialist work, which is where we come in.
If your staff spot something between visits, such as dripping grease, a noisy fan, a smell or a filter that won’t come clean, they should report it rather than try to fix it. We can diagnose it and quote.
When it’s something else
We will always give you a straight diagnosis, so here’s what kitchen extract cleaning won’t do:
- Fire dampers that won’t close (that needs damper testing and remedials)
- Fat blocking the kitchen drains
- Extraction that can’t cope with the cooking because of its design
Leave it or put it right?
If your kitchen in PO7 is past its cleaning date, it’s worth booking now. It takes as long as the system needs, from a few hours to several planned visits, and we fit around your opening hours. Every extra month adds grease.
Comparing quotes
- What insurance they carry
- If they look at the system before pricing
- Whether they recommend a next date
- What happens if part of the system cannot be accessed
Common questions in PO7
Can one contract cover all our sites?
Yes. One number covers all your sites in our area, with visits on a regular schedule.
What happens if you can’t reach some of it?
We never leave them off the paperwork. You’ll know exactly which parts weren’t reached and why, along with a quote to put access in.
Where does the waste go?
We take it away when we go. While we work, it’s kept contained to keep the area clean.
How long does a kitchen extract clean take?
It takes as long as the system needs, from a few hours to several planned visits. We’ll confirm the time when we quote.
Which parts of the extract do you clean?
We clean every part the grease travels through. That means canopy, plenum, filters, ducts, risers, fan and discharge, reached through access panels where needed.
