Fixed quotes for kitchen deep cleaning in Woking

Before we fix a price, we need to know a few things. We check:

  • The condition we find in the survey
  • How many systems or sites are involved
  • Access, including roofs, risers and ceiling voids
  • Whether it’s a one-off visit or part of a schedule

Combining work into one visit or one programme often makes better use of the time. Tell us about everything you’d like looked at, and you will get one fixed quote.

Helping us quote

What to send for a quote:

  • Problems your staff have spotted
  • Your last certificate, test record or report
  • Wide photos of the system and the area around it
  • Where the site is and what kind of site it is

To help us quote: the address, the type of site and when it’s open, a few photos and the last certificate or report, if there is one. Once you have those, ring 0345 646 2711 or drop us a line.

Kitchen deep cleaning in Woking

The work runs from top to bottom. Ceilings and high-level areas come first, followed by walls, equipment and floors so dirt doesn’t land on areas already done. Cooking equipment is switched off and allowed to cool first. The work covers walls and ceilings, ranges and ovens and floors and floor drains, and common reasons people get in touch are a new kitchen tenant inheriting a dirty kitchen and cooking equipment caked in carbon.

Food businesses in Woking are inspected by council environmental health officers, and they look at the cleanliness of the whole kitchen. Records of deep cleans help show the kitchen is kept in order.

It’s worth checking any contractor’s accreditations. We’re a BESCA Vent Hygiene Elite member, cleaning to BESA TR19® Grease, and we hold CHAS, SafeContractor and ISO 9001, and we are fully insured.

How the visit works

Before we leave, we walk the area with whoever is on site. Anything we couldn’t reach or that needs attention is pointed out there and then, and it goes on the report too. All told, the work takes one overnight or weekend visit for many kitchens, longer for large sites. Access to the roof, the plant room and a parking space are worth sorting out before a visit in Woking.

  1. We look round the kitchen and agree exactly what’s included.
  2. Cooking equipment is switched off and left to cool, and the area is prepared.
  3. We work from the top down, starting with ceilings and walls.
  4. The equipment, and the floor and walls around it, are degreased and cleaned.
  5. Floors are cleaned last and the kitchen is left ready for the next service.

How to prepare

  • Clear the space around the work
  • Let us know how we reach the system, including roofs, risers and plant rooms
  • Tell us the best time to work, such as after service or at a weekend

Ask for a quote

Photos are enough for some jobs, while others need a look on site. Larger sites, and anything hidden behind walls, ceilings or floors, are normally surveyed first. Either way, the quote is fixed before any work is booked.

Advice

Common questions in Woking

Who carries out food hygiene inspections in Woking?

In Woking, it’s Woking council that carries out food hygiene inspections. Inspection results feed into the food hygiene rating published by the Food Standards Agency.

Can a school kitchen in Woking be done out of term time?

Yes, and it’s the easiest time to do it. With about 18 schools and colleges on the FSA’s register within roughly a mile and a half of Woking, it pays to plan holiday dates ahead. Just give us a ring on 0345 646 2711, or email photos with your term dates and we will plan around them.

What types of premises do you cover?

All kinds of commercial and public premises: from restaurants, pubs and hotels to schools, hospitals, care homes, offices, shops and food production sites. We fit the work around how the site operates.

Is there a survey before the work?

Yes, always. We diagnose before we treat: the survey shows what needs doing and what access we need, and the quote is based on that.

Do you do the kitchen and extract together?

Yes. Both can be done on the same visit or close together, depending on the size of the job.

How much notice do you need?

The more notice, the better, particularly for night and weekend visits. Quotes usually come back within one working day, and emergencies are covered by our 24/7 line.

Will you clean under the ranges and fryers?

That’s often where it’s dirtiest, so it’s a priority. We will agree what’s movable before any work starts.

Do you have a 24/7 line?

Yes. If something urgent happens, like a fan failing or damage after a fire, call our 24/7 line and we’ll talk you through the next steps.

Part by part

School and care home kitchens

Kitchens that serve fixed mealtimes need careful planning. We plan around their hours.

Walls and ceilings

Wall cladding and tiles around the cooking line get greasy fast. They get a thorough degrease including the corners.

Honest limits

Not every problem is solved by kitchen deep cleaning, and we will tell you before any work starts. It won’t put right:

  • Drainage problems beyond the kitchen
  • Faults with cooking or refrigeration equipment, which need an engineer
  • Grease inside the canopy, plenum and ductwork, which needs a TR19 clean

If in doubt, give us a ring on 0345 646 2711 or use the quote form and we will say what we think.

Where we work

  • Fryers and grills
  • Floors and floor drains
  • Stainless steel surfaces
  • Behind and under equipment

For landlords and multi-site operators

When the building owner and the occupier are different, the lease normally sets out who maintains what. We’re happy to deal with either side, and the report can go to both.

Facilities teams in offices, schools and healthcare sites book us too in Woking and across Surrey. Larger estates can be phased building by building to keep disruption down.

What kitchen deep cleaning looks like in Woking

The FSA’s food hygiene register shows about 88 restaurants, cafés and works canteens and about 40 takeaways within roughly a mile and a half of the centre of Woking. Kitchens like these build up grease behind and under equipment, on walls and on ceilings. Kitchens in Woking get their food hygiene inspections from Woking council. The state of floors, drains and hard-to-reach corners all feeds into the inspection. A cleaning log that includes deep cleans and grease trap visits shows the work is planned.

Healthcare kitchens, like those at hospitals such as Woking Community Hospital (about 0.8 miles east), cook for long hours, so deep cleans and grease trap work are planned around patients’ meals. Hall kitchens near Church of St Mary of Bethany or elsewhere in Woking may have older sinks and drains, so a grease trap check is worth adding to a deep clean. For a café close to Woking station, a deep clean can be done between closing and the morning rush.

Between visits

After the visit, a few habits help the work last:

  • Don’t let debris build up behind the line
  • Do not let the extract cleaning slip
  • Do not wait for an inspection to book a deep clean
  • Deal with spills right away

Once it’s deep cleaned, daily cleaning goes further. Keep on top of the daily routine, and the next deep clean is lighter work.

If you can see grime on the ceiling or behind the range, it’s time. A deep clean at this point stops it getting worse and drawing pests in.

Leave it or put it right?

Grime behind and under equipment can attract pests. Cleaning it out removes what they’re looking for and prevention is much easier than cure. Insurers, fire officers and environmental health officers can all ask for records.

Working hours, access and the scale of the site can all change the price. We take each of them into account and give you a fixed price before work begins.
