Kitchen deep cleaning near Normandy

About our kitchen deep cleaning in Normandy

Old, baked-on grease does not come off with a wipe. Deep cleaning uses methods suited to the build-up, along with the time and access a daily clean does not have. If you have cooking equipment caked in carbon and greasy, slippery kitchen floors, we can put it right.

Work in a small place like Normandy starts with agreeing a date and access, and the deep clean is the same as anywhere: walls, floors, ceilings and equipment.

Accreditations are easy to claim and worth checking. Ours are BESCA Vent Hygiene Elite membership, cleaning to BESA TR19® Grease, plus CHAS, SafeContractor and ISO 9001, with full insurance on top.

The process

Night work is normal for us. Evenings, nights and weekends are when much of our work happens, so the site can open as normal afterwards. The visit itself takes one overnight or weekend visit for many kitchens, longer for large sites. Somewhere as small as Normandy, the date and timings are agreed with you well before the day.

  1. First, we walk the kitchen with you and agree the scope.
  2. Equipment is turned off and allowed to cool before anything else happens.
  3. High surfaces are cleaned first so dirt does not fall on clean areas.
  4. Equipment is cleaned inside and out, along with the areas behind and underneath it.
  5. The floors are done last, then everything is checked with you.

How to prepare

  • Make sure someone can let us in and lock up afterwards
  • Let us know about permits to work or site inductions
  • Let us know when the site is closed or quiet

How to get a quote

Every quote begins with a look at the system, from your pictures and details or, where that isn’t enough, a survey on site. After that, you get a fixed price for the work, before we start.

Normandy questions

Who would carry out a food hygiene inspection at a kitchen in Normandy?

Kitchens in Normandy are inspected by Guildford council’s environmental health officers. How often a business is inspected depends on the council’s risk rating for it, so the kitchen needs to be ready at any time.

Do you work overnight in Normandy?

Yes, we can come after you close and finish before you open. Your customers, staff or residents in Normandy needn’t be disturbed. Your opening times are the first thing we ask for.

Do you recommend a next date?

Yes. Every report includes a recommended date for the next visit, based on what we found and how the system is used.

Can you clean behind fixed equipment?

Behind and under the equipment is where the worst build-up is, so it’s a priority. We check what can be moved safely at the start.

Do inspectors look at how clean the whole kitchen is?

Yes, cleanliness of the premises is part of an inspection. No clean can promise a rating, but a deep clean puts the kitchen in good condition.

What’s TR19?

TR19® is BESA’s specification for ventilation hygiene. Since 2019, TR19® Grease has been a standalone specification for grease in kitchen extract systems, while TR19® Air covers other supply and extract ductwork.

Can you come out in an emergency?

Yes. There’s a 24/7 emergency line for anything that cannot wait until a planned visit. Ring any time and tell us what’s happened.

Do you look at the system first?

Yes. We always survey first, from your photos and details, or with a visit where necessary. Then you get a fixed quote.

Why act early in Normandy

In Normandy, deep cleans can be fitted around the kitchen’s quieter times. Waiting for a problem means doing it in a hurry at the worst possible time. With notice, the visit to Normandy can be fitted around your bookings and events.

When the work has to happen, how we reach it and how big the site is can all change the price. Each of those is built into the quote, and the price is fixed before any work starts.

Fixed quotes for kitchen deep cleaning in Normandy

We quote each job individually. This is what makes a difference:

  • Site requirements such as sign-in and permits
  • A single visit or a regular plan
  • The number of sites or systems
  • The size of the system

Combining work into one visit or one programme often makes better use of the time. Tell us about everything you’d like looked at, and you will get one fixed quote.

Asking for a quote

Before you ask for a quote, gather:

  • The roof, plant room or outside wall the system runs to
  • Any previous report or certificate
  • When the site is open and when it’s quiet
  • Photos showing the whole system and its surroundings

Here’s what helps us quote: where the site is, what it is and its opening hours, a few photos and the last certificate or report, if there is one. Then phone us on 0345 646 2711 or send us an email.

What kitchen deep cleaning looks like in Normandy

It’s Guildford council that sends environmental health officers to food businesses in Normandy. An inspection covers the structure of the kitchen as well as the food. Photos and dates from each deep clean make a useful record. We cover Normandy, about 30 miles from central London, as part of our work across London and the South East. We work evenings, overnight and at weekends, so the visit fits around the site.

A summer deep clean suits schools such as Wyke Primary School, as the kitchen can be stripped back with no lunches to serve. Guildford Hospital, about 2.6 miles east, is the nearest hospital to Normandy; healthcare kitchens cannot stop cooking, so deep cleans are worked around meal times. If you run a café or takeaway near Wanborough station, a deep clean overnight means the kitchen opens as normal next morning.

Normandy is about 4 miles east of Aldershot, in Surrey. We carry out kitchen deep cleaning for businesses, landlords and public buildings in Normandy and the rest of Surrey. Normandy is one of 395 places in Surrey we cover for kitchen deep cleaning.

Every address in GU3 is covered for kitchen deep cleaning, from busy streets to back roads. Streets in the area include Manor Farm Close, Guildford Road and Milton Close, and we cover them all for kitchen deep cleaning. What kitchen deep cleaning cannot fix

A few issues sit outside what this work can do:

  • Equipment that is not working properly
  • Blocked drains and grease traps, which are a separate service
  • Grease inside the canopy, plenum and ductwork, which needs a TR19 clean

Not sure which it is? You can ring 0345 646 2711 or send us an email and we will tell you honestly.

Where we work

  • Behind and under equipment
  • Ranges and ovens
  • Floors and floor drains
  • Stainless steel surfaces
  • Walls and ceilings
  • Fryers and grills

In-house cleaning or a specialist?

Your own staff can handle the daily basics: wiping down canopy surfaces, cleaning filters and keeping a simple log. Inside the ducts, risers and fan is specialist work, and that is where we come in.

Keep a record of what your team does. A dated log of in-house cleaning and checks shows an inspector that the system is looked after between visits, next to our reports.

Looking after it afterwards

A little care between visits keeps the system in better shape. We recommend:

  • Repair worn surfaces that trap grime
  • Keep the extract running while you cook
  • Do not let the extract cleaning slip
  • Wipe splashes before they harden

Floors are clean and dry by the time we’ve finished. Staff can get straight back to work when the kitchen opens.

Visible build-up behind equipment or on the ceiling is a clear sign. Dealing with it now keeps it from spreading and drawing pests in.

For landlords and multi-site operators

From a single site to a large estate, you get the same standard: a survey first, a fixed quote, the work timed around the site and a report with photos.

Facilities teams in offices, schools and healthcare sites book us too in Normandy and across Surrey. Larger estates can be phased building by building to keep disruption down.
