Our kitchen extract cleaning service in TW6

Few kitchens can stop cooking for a day so the extract can be cleaned. We work evenings, overnight and at weekends, or between services where the kitchen has a gap. With the equipment off and cool and the area sheeted, we clean and hand the kitchen back ready for the next service. Common call-outs are for cleaning needed before an insurance renewal or survey and a smoky, hot kitchen with weak extraction, on vertical risers, extract fans and plenums and filters.

A visit follows the same order every time: protect the area, make the system safe, carry out the kitchen extract cleaning, clear away and hand over the paperwork. The visit itself takes one visit for most kitchens, while large or complex systems may need more than one.

  1. First the diagnosis: a survey of the whole system and its access points.
  2. We record grease levels at set points, then fix the price.
  3. We arrive after close, protect the area and contain the waste.
  4. The treatment: heavy grease scraped out, then every part degreased to TR19® Grease.
  5. Then the clean bill of health: readings, a TR19 certificate and a photo report with the next date.

Landmarks near Heathrow

In Heathrow, that means kitchens and buildings near The Queen's Arms, Space Studio West London and Bedfont Primary School, among other places. There’s a railway station in Heathrow itself: Heathrow Terminals 2 & 3 Rail station. A little further out are Spelthorne Museum (3.5 miles south-west) and Harlington (1.6 miles north). For a walk, there’s Staines Reservoirs and Crane Meadows.

Kitchen extracts across TW6

Our kitchen extract cleaning work across TW6 takes in places such as Bedfont, Harlington and Hatton and the villages in between. Every place on our TW6 list (7 in all) is covered, and kitchens are cleaned around their opening hours, overnight and at weekends included.

Across London and the South East, we work evenings, overnight and weekends, so sites in TW6 can keep trading.

Heathrow: If you run catering at a healthcare site, such as a hospital like Harlington about 1.6 miles north, the extract may need cleaning more often than a part-time kitchen. If you cook for passing trade around Heathrow Terminals 2 & 3 Rail station, the extract can be cleaned between your last and first customer.

Honest limits

We will not sell you work that doesn’t address the problem, so here are the limits:

  • Fire dampers that will not close (that needs damper testing and remedials)
  • Blocked drains from a neglected grease trap (a separate service)
  • Damaged duct sections that need replacing

Multi-site and managed buildings

When the building owner and the occupier are different, it’s worth checking the lease for who maintains the systems. We’re happy to deal with either side and send the paperwork to whoever needs it.

Keeping records across a portfolio is half the battle. Each visit produces a dated report with photos, so you can show an insurer or inspector what was done at each site.

How we price kitchen extract cleaning

The diagnosis comes before the price. The main factors are:

  • Any permits to work or inductions
  • Working hours and out-of-hours timing
  • Whether several sites go on one quote
  • How big the system is

What you pay depends on how big the system is, what state it’s in and how easy it is to reach. We give you a fixed price before we start, so you know where you stand.

Asking for a quote

To speed up the quote, please include:

  • Where the plant sits or the system leaves the building, such as a roof or outside wall
  • The times we could work without disrupting the site
  • Photos showing the whole system and its surroundings
  • The site address and the type of premises

To help us quote: the address, the type of site and when it’s open, photos of the system and any previous report or certificate. Then phone us on 0345 646 2711, or email photos.

What the work involves, part by part

Grease filters

Between TR19 cleans, filters still need regular cleaning, and a filter exchange service can take that off your hands. Clean filters slow the build-up further down the system.

Restaurant and pub kitchens

A pub or restaurant cannot afford to cancel a service for a clean. We work overnight and at weekends where that suits, and hand back a clean kitchen ready to cook.

Why deal with it now?

Every week without a clean adds another layer. BESA guidance says the mean should not go above 200 microns between cleans, and anywhere reaching 500 microns or more needs a spot clean right away. The longer it’s left, the bigger the job becomes.

Comparing quotes

  • Whether the quote is based on a survey or photos
  • If the quote is a fixed price or an estimate
  • When they can work, and whether that’s outside your opening hours
  • How VAT is shown on the quote

Questions from TW6

Is TR19 a legal requirement?

Strictly, the legal duty comes from the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, not from TR19. In practice, TR19 is how kitchens show they’re managing grease, and many insurers ask for proof of it.

Can you come out in an emergency?

Yes, day and night, every day of the year. Office hours are Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm, and the emergency line covers the rest.

Do you clean the whole extract system or just the canopy?

The whole system: canopy inside and out, plenum, grease filters, ductwork, risers, extract fan and discharge, plus attenuators where fitted. Anything we cannot reach is recorded on the report.

Which sectors do you work in?

Any commercial site with kitchens or ventilation, from a single café to a large school. Hotels, schools, care homes, offices, shops and leisure sites are all part of our work.

Do insurers need proof of extract cleaning?

Many insurers ask for proof of regular cleaning to TR19, and many policies require it. An insurer may refuse or reduce a claim if there’s no evidence, so it’s worth checking your policy wording.

What paperwork comes with a kitchen extract clean?

Yes, a TR19 certificate, along with a photo report. The report lists what was cleaned, anything we couldn’t reach and when the next clean is due.

Do you cover TW6?

Yes. Our technicians work in TW6, within the South East and London area we cover.
