Kitchen deep cleaning near New Street

Kitchen deep cleaning for kitchens and businesses in New Street

A good daily routine keeps the surfaces clean but some areas never get touched. Grease collects behind ranges, under fryers, on high walls and across ceilings. Our deep clean goes after every one of those areas while the kitchen is closed. The work covers fryers and grills, ranges and ovens and stainless steel surfaces, and the jobs we see most are grime behind and under cooking equipment and a whole-kitchen clean while the extract is cleaned.

Rural kitchens may drain to a septic tank or a private drain rather than straight into a public sewer, so keeping fat out with a working grease trap matters even more.

Every visit ends with a written report and photos, so you have a record of what was done and when. Where the work is a TR19® Grease clean, the certificate is issued through the BESCA Vent Hygiene Elite portal.

What we’re called out for in New Street

Ovens, ranges, grills and fryers build up baked-on deposits. A daily wipe-down doesn’t touch the hardened layers and it thickens over time.

These are the problems we see most often:

  • A kitchen taken over in poor condition
  • Preparation for an EHO inspection
  • Food debris trapped under the range
  • A kitchen clean booked with the extract clean

If you cater for weddings or events at a historic house in the area (Cobham College is about 3.6 miles north-east), deep cleans can be fitted between bookings.

What affects the cost of kitchen deep cleaning

The price is fixed before any work begins. It’s based on:

  • The number of sites or systems
  • The condition we find in the survey
  • Whether we need access equipment or extra panels
  • One-off work versus a regular cycle

We do not list prices on the website, because the cost depends on the site in front of us. For a fixed quote, phone us on 0345 646 2711 or drop us a line, and we will talk you through it.

Asking for a quote

Before you ask for a quote, gather:

  • Photos showing the whole system and its surroundings
  • The times we could work without disrupting the site
  • The site address and the type of premises
  • Any access panels or hatches you can see

Need a price for kitchen deep cleaning? Please call us on 0345 646 2711 or use the quote form with a few details about the site. We’ll talk you through the work and send you a fixed quote before anything is booked.

What we do, step by step

The visit has three parts: getting the area ready, doing the work and signing it off. Getting ready means protecting surfaces and switching off what needs to be off, and the sign-off is a written report with photos. Most of the time goes on the work itself, which takes anything from a single evening to more than one visit, depending on the kitchen. Somewhere like New Street, lanes, gates and parking are worth mentioning in advance.

  1. We look round the kitchen and agree exactly what’s included.
  2. Appliances are switched off to cool while we protect the areas that need it.
  3. Ceilings, walls and high-level surfaces are cleaned first, working downwards.
  4. We clean the cooking equipment and the spaces behind and under it.
  5. The floors are done last, then everything is checked with you.

How to prepare

  • Make sure someone can let us in and lock up afterwards
  • Have your last certificate or report to hand
  • Tell us about access, such as roof hatches, plant rooms, ceilings or locked areas

Ask for a quote

For a fixed quote, give us a ring on 0345 646 2711 or drop us a line and tell us the type of site, your opening hours and roughly what the system looks like. Photos and the last report, if you have one, make the quote quicker. We usually come back within one working day.

When something else is needed

In fairness, some problems need a different fix:

  • Grease inside the canopy, plenum and ductwork, which needs a TR19 clean
  • Pests already in the kitchen
  • Cracked tiles or damaged wall cladding

If you are not sure, just call us on 0345 646 2711, or send details by email and we’ll give you a straight answer.

What the work covers

  • Behind and under equipment
  • Walls and ceilings
  • Floors and floor drains
  • Ranges and ovens
  • Stainless steel surfaces
  • Fryers and grills

For landlords and multi-site operators

Where a tenant occupies the premises but the landlord owns the building, it’s worth checking the lease for who maintains the systems. We are happy to deal with either side and send the paperwork to whoever needs it.

Managing agents often deal with us directly. Tell us the site, the work and the access arrangements, and we will send a fixed quote.

New Street kitchens: local notes

According to Food Standards Agency records, there are about 5 pubs, bars and clubs across New Street and its immediate surroundings (about a mile and a half). Where they run a kitchen, it needs the same deep cleaning and grease trap care as any restaurant. In New Street, food businesses are inspected by environmental health officers from Gravesham council. An inspection covers the structure of the kitchen as well as the food. A record of each deep clean helps show the kitchen is kept in order.

Hall and church kitchens, near Church of Saint Peter or anywhere around New Street, are used by many hands, and periodic deep cleans and grease trap visits keep them in order. FAQs for New Street

Can the work in New Street be done at night or at weekends?

Yes, evening, overnight and weekend work is normal for us. It means the site in New Street keeps running as normal. Tell us your opening hours when you ask for a quote.

Who inspects food businesses in New Street?

The local authority for New Street is Gravesham council, and its environmental health team does the inspecting. How often a business is inspected depends on the council’s risk rating for it, so the kitchen needs to be ready at any time.

Does the report say when we need you again?

Yes. Every report includes a recommended date for the next visit, based on what we found and how the system is used.

Do you look at the system first?

Yes. We always survey first, from your photos and details, or with a visit where needed. A fixed quote follows.

What does commercial kitchen deep cleaning cost?

After a look at the kitchen, from pictures or on site, we give you a fixed quote. Just ring 0345 646 2711 or send us an email and we will arrange it and the quote is normally with you within one working day.

Can you clean the extract at the same time?

Yes. A TR19® extract clean and a deep clean fit well together and the whole space is cleaned in one go. The extract clean comes with a certificate and photo report.

Which sectors do you work in?

Any site with a kitchen or a ventilation system to look after, from a small pub to a hospital. We work with hotels, schools, care homes, offices, retail and leisure sites.

How do you keep the site clean during the work?

We start with protection: sheeting over floors, worktops and anything close to the work. We tidy up and take our waste away before we leave.

What staff can safely do

Day-to-day cleaning is something your team can do: wiping down canopy surfaces, cleaning filters and keeping a simple log. What they can’t safely do is clean inside the ductwork, the fan or the risers, which is where we come in.

Some jobs should never be done in-house: entering ducts, working on fans, testing dampers and taking grease readings call for the right kit, training and safe access. Leave those to us.

What the work involves, part by part

Canopy exteriors

Canopy surfaces get greasy on the outside as well as inside. The outside of the canopy is cleaned with the rest of the kitchen.

Walls and ceilings

Surfaces close to the range build up grease quickly. We clean them thoroughly including the corners.
