How we handle kitchen deep cleaning in Maplescombe
An EHO looks at the whole kitchen, not just the worktops. Greasy walls, dirty ceilings and grime behind equipment all count. A thorough deep clean brings every surface up to standard whenever it’s needed. Typical jobs include food debris that could attract pests and a kitchen getting ready for an environmental health visit, across behind and under equipment, walls and ceilings and stainless steel surfaces.
In a village or hamlet like Maplescombe, commercial kitchens are few, perhaps a pub, a school or a care home. Wherever there is one, it needs its grease trap and hard-to-reach areas kept clean.
It’s worth checking any contractor’s accreditations. We’re a BESCA Vent Hygiene Elite member, cleaning to BESA TR19® Grease, and we hold CHAS, SafeContractor and ISO 9001, and we’re fully insured.

Kitchens like these build up grease behind and under equipment, on walls and on ceilings. Maplescombe, about 18 miles from central London, is within our usual area. The visit is fixed around your opening hours, not ours. Food hygiene inspections in Maplescombe are the job of Sevenoaks council’s environmental health team. In-house cleaning or a specialist?
A few tasks are always specialist work: entering ducts, working on fans, testing dampers and taking grease readings call for the right kit, training and safe access. Leave those to us.
Keep a record of what your team does. A dated log of in-house cleaning and checks helps show that the system is managed between specialist visits, next to our reports.
Maplescombe questions
Do you work at weekends in Maplescombe?
Yes, nights and weekends are routine for us. It means the site in Maplescombe keeps running as normal. Tell us your opening hours when you ask for a quote.
Can you get to a site in Maplescombe?
Yes. Villages and rural sites across the South East are part of our work, Maplescombe included. The journey is planned ahead, so a few details about the route help.
Which records should we keep?
The reports and certificates from each visit, plus your own logs. Insurers, fire officers and EHOs may all ask to see them, so keep them where they can be found quickly.
What accreditations do you have?
Our accreditations are CHAS, SafeContractor and ISO 9001, and we are a BESCA Vent Hygiene Elite member, cleaning to BESA TR19® Grease. The Vent Hygiene Elite scheme is run by BESCA and audited independently.
Should we deep clean before an environmental health visit?
Cleanliness is one of the things inspectors assess. A deep clean is a good way to get on top of build-up, though it’s the daily routine that keeps it there.
Will I get paperwork for my records?
Yes. It’s your proof that the work was done: a written, dated record with photos of what we did and anything we couldn’t access.
Is there a survey before the work?
Yes. For many sites, pictures and a few details are enough, and larger or hidden systems get a visit.
What if parts of the system cannot be reached?
They’re listed in the report, never skipped quietly. You’ll know exactly which parts weren’t reached and why, and we can quote to improve the access.
Part by part
Cooking equipment
We clean the cooking equipment itself, inside and out, with each piece switched off and cool first.
School and care home kitchens
School holidays are a good time for a deep clean so the kitchen is ready when pupils return.
When it’s something else
An honest diagnosis matters more to us than a booking, so here’s what kitchen deep cleaning won’t do:
- The inside of the extract system
- Pests already in the kitchen
- Equipment that is not working properly
If you are not sure, just ring 0345 646 2711 or send us an email and we will give you a straight answer before you book.
Where we work
- Fryers and grills
- Floors and floor drains
- Walls and ceilings
- Behind and under equipment
- Ranges and ovens
- Stainless steel surfaces
Why it’s worth doing now in Maplescombe
A greasy kitchen is a harder place to work. Slippery floors and sticky surfaces make the job harder and less pleasant. A clean kitchen is safer and easier to run. It’s simpler to plan the work at Maplescombe now than to arrange it in a hurry later.
We don’t list prices on the website, because the cost depends on the site in front of us. Call for a fixed quote, and we’ll talk you through it.

How it works
There are three stages on the day: set-up, the treatment itself and the sign-off. Getting ready means protecting surfaces and switching off what needs to be off, and the sign-off is a written report with pictures. Most of the time goes on the work itself, which takes anything from a few hours to a full night, depending on the size of the kitchen. Rural roads and tight entrances are worth telling us about before a visit to Maplescombe.
- First, we agree what’s being cleaned and when.
- Equipment is switched off and allowed to cool.
- We work down from the ceiling, cleaning walls and the canopy exterior.
- We clean the equipment and the hidden areas around it.
- We finish the floors and walk round with you.
Before we arrive
- Clear loose items from the work area
- Let us know when the site is closed or quiet
- Tell us where we can park and unload
Ask for a quote
To help us quote: where the site is, what it is and its opening hours, a few pictures and the last certificate or report, if there is one. Once you have those, call us on 0345 646 2711 or email us.

Aftercare tips
So the system stays in good health:
- Keep the TR19 extract clean on schedule as well
- Run the extract whenever the range is on
- Clean behind movable equipment regularly
- Deal with spills straight away
Once it’s deep cleaned, daily cleaning goes further. Keep up the routine, especially behind and under equipment where you can so build-up stays down.
Before a busy season or a big event, a deep clean gives you a clean start instead of chasing grime later.
Do you need kitchen deep cleaning in Maplescombe?
The usual end-of-shift clean covers what’s in easy reach. Behind and under heavy equipment, high walls and ceilings rarely get the same attention so grease and debris accumulate there.
The symptoms we’re asked about most are:
- A deep clean to go alongside a TR19 extract clean
- A kitchen that needs a clean start
- Signs of pests drawn by food debris
- Build-up behind fryers and ovens
Sevenoaks Hospital, about 5 miles south-west, is the nearest hospital to Maplescombe; healthcare kitchens can’t stop cooking, so deep cleans are worked around meal times.
