Kitchen deep cleaning across Lions Green

About our kitchen deep cleaning in Lions Green

In Lions Green, we fit deep cleans around the hours the kitchen cooks. Most are done overnight, early in the morning or at the weekend, so the kitchen is ready for the next service. Schools can book during the holidays. We’re often asked to deal with a new kitchen tenant inheriting a dirty kitchen and floors with grease along the edges, on behind and under equipment, floors and floor drains and stainless steel surfaces.

Work in a small place like Lions Green starts with agreeing a date and access, and the deep clean is the same as anywhere: walls, floors, ceilings and equipment.

Duct Doctor has been trading since 2009, and we’re a BESCA Vent Hygiene Elite member, cleaning to BESA TR19® Grease. We also hold CHAS, SafeContractor and ISO 9001, and we’re fully insured.

Honest limits

We’ll always give you a straight diagnosis, so here’s what kitchen deep cleaning won’t do:

  • Damaged flooring, walls or ceilings that need repair
  • An active pest infestation, which needs a pest control contractor
  • The inside of the extract system

If in doubt, call 0345 646 2711, or send details by email and we will say what we think.

Where we work

  • Fryers and grills
  • Floors and floor drains
  • Walls and ceilings
  • Ranges and ovens
  • Behind and under equipment
  • Stainless steel surfaces

How the visit works

Night work is normal for us. Evenings, nights and weekends are when much of our work happens, so the site can open as normal afterwards. On site, the work takes anything from a few hours to a full night, depending on the size of the kitchen. Visits to a village like Lions Green are booked in advance, at a time that suits whoever runs the site.

  1. First, we agree what’s being cleaned and when.
  2. We make sure all cooking equipment is off and cool.
  3. High-level surfaces, walls and the canopy exterior are cleaned.
  4. Equipment is cleaned, along with the areas behind and under it.
  5. We finish the floors and walk round with you.

Before we arrive

  • Dig out any earlier paperwork for the system
  • Tell us the best time to work, such as after service or at a weekend
  • Make sure someone can let us in and lock up afterwards

Advice

Looking after it afterwards

Results last longer with the right care. We suggest:

  • Keep a cleaning schedule and record it
  • Get cracked tiles and damaged surfaces fixed
  • Keep the TR19 extract clean on schedule as well
  • Wipe splashes before they harden

If we spot anything that needs attention, like damaged surfaces or a greasy canopy, we tell you. It may need an extract clean or another trade.

Grease that is left only gets harder to remove. A deep clean now saves a much bigger job later and keeps the kitchen in shape for an EHO visit.

Signs you need kitchen deep cleaning in Lions Green

Crumbs and scraps end up behind the cooking line. Combined with grease, it becomes the kind of mess pests like unless it’s cleaned out.

Most sites get in touch after spotting one of these:

  • Greasy, slippery kitchen floors
  • Greasy, darkened kitchen ceilings
  • A kitchen getting ready for an environmental health visit
  • A kitchen that needs a clean start

Healthcare kitchens, like those at hospitals such as Hellingly Hospital Railway (about 4.1 miles south-east), cook for long hours, so deep cleans and grease trap work are planned around patients’ meals.

Staff cleaning versus specialist work

Staff cleaning doesn’t replace a specialist visit; it supports it. Regular in-house cleaning slows the build-up, but hidden parts of the system still need specialist attention.

Keep a record of what your team does. A simple log of filter washes, wipe-downs and checks shows an inspector that the system is looked after between visits, alongside our reports.

Why deal with it now?

Grease on walls, ceilings and equipment is fuel close to the cooking. Leaving it adds to the fire risk in the kitchen on top of what’s in the ductwork. Deep cleaning removes it. Equipment tucked in a roof space or outbuilding near Lions Green rarely gets looked at unless someone books it.

When the work has to happen, how we reach it and how big the site is can all change the price. Each of those is built into the quote, and the price is fixed before work begins.

Why Lions Green businesses choose us

Lions Green: your questions answered

Can you come to Lions Green after we close?

Yes, out-of-hours work is a big part of what we do. Your customers, staff or residents in Lions Green needn’t be disturbed. Your opening times are the first thing we ask for.

Is Lions Green within the area you cover?

Yes, smaller places are covered as well as towns. A survey first, from pictures or a visit, means we arrive with the right kit.

Which kinds of sites do you work on?

Any commercial site with kitchens or ventilation, from a small pub to a hospital. We work with hotels, schools, care homes, offices, retail and leisure sites.

Can you look after several sites?

Yes. Tell us the addresses and what each needs and you will get one fixed quote.

How much notice should we give?

Book as early as you can for planned work, especially if the next clean or test is due soon. Emergencies are different, because our line is open 24/7.

Are you fully insured?

Yes, we’re fully insured. We also hold CHAS and SafeContractor, for sites that check contractor safety.

Do you look at the system first?

Yes, always. We diagnose before we treat: the survey shows what needs doing and what access we need, and the quote is based on that.

Which areas does a deep clean cover?

It takes in the places daily cleaning doesn’t reach, from the ceiling down to the floor behind the equipment. The cooking equipment is cleaned too.

What affects the quote in Lions Green

We quote each job individually. This is what makes a difference:

  • Site rules, permits and inductions
  • Whether we need access equipment or extra panels
  • When the work can happen, such as evenings, overnight or weekends
  • How big the system is

A single site or a whole portfolio, the quote is built the same way: what needs doing, how we get to it and when. The price is fixed before work begins.

Asking for a quote

Many jobs can be priced from photos and some basics. Useful things to send:

  • The paperwork from the last visit, if you have it
  • Detail shots of panels, filters and grilles
  • Anything you’ve noticed, such as smells, noise, drips or poor airflow
  • The roof, plant room or outside wall the system runs to

Getting a quote doesn’t take long. Call or email with a few details and you will usually have a fixed price within one working day. Where a survey is needed, we arrange a time that suits the site.
