Dial Post grease filter exchange
A scheduled grease filter exchange, swapping dirty canopy filters for clean ones for businesses, landlords and public buildings in Dial Post. BESCA Vent Hygiene Elite member, cleaning to BESA TR19® Grease.
- Filters left unwashed on busy weeks
- A canopy running with filters missing
- Filters that come out of the sink still dirty
Multi-site and managed buildings
We regularly work with managing agents. Tell us the site, the work and the access arrangements, and we will send a fixed quote.
From a single site to a large estate, you get the same standard: diagnosis, a fixed price, work booked around your hours and a written report with photos.
Grease filter exchange in Dial Post, done properly
Washing filters in the kitchen sink is messy and easily missed on a busy week. An exchange service means clean filters arrive and greasy ones leave and the canopy is refilled right away. If you have filter washing that keeps being missed and grease filters clogged with grease, we can put it right, from island canopies, school and hospital kitchens and mesh filters onwards.
In a small place like Dial Post, kitchens are often in older or extended buildings, with long single-storey duct runs, and those horizontal sections are where grease settles. Access, parking and timings are agreed before the day.
Accreditations are easy to claim and worth checking. Ours are BESCA Vent Hygiene Elite membership, cleaning to BESA TR19® Grease, plus CHAS, SafeContractor and ISO 9001, and we are fully insured.

How the job changes from site to site
Mesh filters
Mesh filters are still found in many canopies. We exchange them on the same basis as baffles.
The plenum
Heavy grease in the plenum often follows clogged or missing filters, or that a full clean is due.
How it works
On the day, we arrive at the time agreed with you, which is often after service, overnight or at a weekend. Anything that needs to be off for the work is switched off and left to cool first, and the area around the work is covered and protected. On site, it takes a few minutes per canopy, longer for a large kitchen with several canopies. The timing of a visit to Dial Post is set by you, and the travel is our side of the planning.
- We start by noting how many filters you have and what type they are.
- We agree a schedule that suits how much the kitchen cooks.
- On each visit, the dirty filters come out of the canopy.
- Clean, dry filters are fitted in their place, with no gaps left between them.
- Anything we notice, such as bent filters or a dirty plenum, is pointed out.
How to prepare
- Tell us about site rules, permits or sign-in
- Let us know how we reach the system, including roofs, risers and plant rooms
- Clear the space around the work

Every quote begins with a look at the system, either from pictures and details you send or from a site visit. Then we send a fixed price, before any work starts.

Fixed quotes for grease filter exchange in Dial Post
Before we fix a price, we need to know a few things. We look at:
- How easy every part is to reach
- The condition of the system
- How big the system is
- Site rules, permits and inductions
What you pay reflects the actual work. That’s why we survey first, from photos or on site, and the price is agreed before any work starts.
What to send for a quote
There’s no need for technical detail. It helps if you can send:
- A few general shots of the system
- The postcode and the type of business
- The paperwork from the last visit, if you have it
- How we’d reach plant on a roof or in a plant room
The quickest way to a quote is to send pictures: wide shots of the system, close-ups of anything that worries you and how we’d get to it. Add the site type and your opening hours, and we can price many jobs without a visit.
Your questions about grease filter exchange in Dial Post
Will you come out to Dial Post?
Yes. Villages and rural sites across the South East are part of our work, Dial Post included. Let us know about access, parking and anything unusual about getting there when you book.
Which fire and rescue service is responsible for Dial Post?
That is West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service. It’s worth keeping your fire risk assessment, TR19® certificates and photo reports together, ready to show.
Do you survey before quoting?
Yes. We always survey first, from your photos and details, or with a visit where needed. Then you get a fixed quote.
Can you clean our existing filters instead?
We can. Cleaning your existing filters is an option while others want an exchange. We make sure the canopy is ready for service either way.
Do we need to close the kitchen while filters are changed?
Visits are short, and can be booked outside service times. The clean set goes in as soon as the dirty one comes out.
What happens if you cannot reach some of it?
They’re marked on the report. In ductwork, new access panels are often the answer, and we can fit those.
Can you give a price for filter changes?
The cost depends on your filters and the schedule. Just call us on 0345 646 2711, or email photos for a fixed quote once we know your canopies.
Which accreditations do you hold?
Our accreditations are CHAS, SafeContractor and ISO 9001, and we are a BESCA Vent Hygiene Elite member, cleaning to BESA TR19® Grease. Vent Hygiene Elite is run by BESCA and independently audited.
When something else is needed
We’d rather tell you now than book work that won’t help, so here are the limits:
- Cooking smells reaching neighbours, which need odour control
- A noisy or failed extract fan
- A heavily greased plenum or canopy, which needs cleaning to TR19
If you’re not sure, just ring 0345 646 2711 or use the quote form and we will give you a straight answer.

Why it’s worth doing now in Dial Post
Once filters are saturated, more grease gets past them. That makes the next full clean a bigger job and grease readings can rise between cleans. A planned visit to Dial Post is easier to arrange than an emergency callout.
Kitchens, offices, schools and hospitals are all priced the same way: how much there is, how we reach it, what state it’s in and when we can work. Call for a fixed quote and we will explain each part.

Looking after it afterwards
Simple habits between visits make a real difference. We recommend:
- Always run the extract while cooking
- Tell us if a filter is bent or damaged
- Do not let the full clean slip because filters are changed
- Wipe the outside of the canopy as part of daily cleaning
Keep an eye out for filters that have been taken out. Gaps let grease into the plenum, so let us know if one goes missing or gets damaged.
Filter exchange and TR19 cleaning work best together. A maintenance plan that covers both keeps everything on track.
