Extract fan cleaning across Hammill Park

What happens if it’s left?

Grease on the fan is grease in the system. TR19® Grease covers the whole extract, fan included, and insurers asking for TR19 cleaning expect the full system. A fault that closes a site in a village like Hammill Park affects everyone who depends on it.

Working hours, access and the scale of the site all affect the cost. Each of those is built into the quote and give you a fixed price before we start.

Why us?

  • CHAS and SafeContractor accredited, with ISO 9001
  • Every job surveyed first
  • A written report with pictures after each visit
  • One number for every site across the South East and London

How we handle extract fan cleaning in Hammill Park

We’ve been trading since 2009. We are a BESCA Vent Hygiene Elite member, cleaning to BESA TR19® Grease, and we’re fully insured, with CHAS, SafeContractor and ISO 9001. Common call-outs are for a motor area thick with grease and a noisy fan that has got louder over time, on roof-mounted fans, in-line fans and discharge points.

Work in a small place like Hammill Park starts with a call to agree access and timings, and the clean covers the whole system, as it would anywhere: canopy to discharge, then a TR19® certificate and a photo report.

We have been trading since 2009, as a BESCA Vent Hygiene Elite member, cleaning to BESA TR19® Grease. CHAS, SafeContractor and ISO 9001 are in place too, and we carry full insurance.

When something else is needed

A few issues sit outside what this work can do:

  • A motor that has burnt out
  • Grease in the duct and canopy before the fan (those need a full TR19 clean)
  • Damaged fan blades

Not sure which it is? You can call us on 0345 646 2711, or email photos and we’ll tell you honestly before you book.

Parts of the system we cover

  • Axial fans
  • Centrifugal fans
  • Discharge points
  • Roof-mounted fans
  • In-line fans
  • Fan housings

How the visit works

The first job on site is protection: floors, worktops and anything near the work are covered. After that, the system is made safe and the work begins. It takes a few hours where there are several fans or heavy deposits, and we clear up before we go. Visits to a village like Hammill Park are booked in advance, at a time that suits whoever runs the site.

  1. We find the fan and check how it’s reached and how it’s isolated.
  2. Power to the fan is isolated before anyone touches it.
  3. Grease is scraped from the impeller blades and the inside of the housing.
  4. The fan and its surrounds are degreased, keeping clear of the motor’s electrics.
  5. It’s closed up, run and checked, and pictures go into your report.

Preparing for the visit

  • Name a contact who can let us in at the agreed time
  • Make sure equipment near the work can be switched off and left to cool
  • Dig out any earlier paperwork for the system

How the job changes from site to site

Kitchens with long cooking hours

When a busy kitchen’s fan fails, cooking stops. A clean fan is less likely to strain, and our 24/7 emergency callout is there if it happens anyway.

Roof-mounted fans

Grease can escape from a roof fan onto the surrounding surface and we check the area around the outlet. We note any grease around the fan.

In-house cleaning or a specialist?

In-house cleaning and specialist cleaning do different jobs. A daily filter wipe and a weekly filter wash keep grease down at the front of the system, but grease that has passed the filters is out of reach. That part needs specialist access and equipment.

If your staff spot something between visits, like drips, unusual noise, smells or damaged filters, it’s best reported rather than tackled in-house. We can diagnose it and quote.

Hammill Park questions

Do you work at weekends in Hammill Park?

Yes, out-of-hours work is a big part of what we do. The site is handed back ready to open. Your opening times are the first thing we ask for.

Is Hammill Park within the area you cover?

Yes. Hammill Park is within the area we cover across London and the South East. Let us know about access, parking and anything unusual about getting there when you book.

Do you work with multi-site operators?

Yes. We work across South East England and London, so sites at different addresses can be planned together as one programme. Every site has its own report.

What about areas you cannot get to?

The report shows them clearly. Often the fix is extra access, such as new panels in ductwork, which we can install.

How long will it take to clean the fan?

A single accessible fan does not take long, while fans on high roofs or in tight voids take longer. We plan it out of hours.

Can you come out in an emergency?

Yes, day and night, every day of the year. Office hours are Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm, and the emergency line covers the rest.

Which accreditations do you hold?

CHAS, SafeContractor, ISO 9001 and BESCA Vent Hygiene Elite membership, cleaning to BESA TR19® Grease. We’ve been trading since 2009 and we’re fully insured.

Is there a survey before the work?

Yes. For many sites, photos and a few details are enough, while bigger or harder-to-see systems are surveyed on site.

Managing agents and facilities teams in Hammill Park

We regularly work with managing agents. Tell us the site, the work and the access arrangements and we will come back with a fixed quote.

If you look after several sites, we can schedule visits across all of them on one quote. Each site gets its own report and photos, so records stay tidy.

Do you need extract fan cleaning in Hammill Park?

Poor filters mean a greasier fan. Missing, damaged or badly fitted filters let grease travel the whole system, so the fan takes far more than it should.

Most sites get in touch when they notice something like this:

  • A fan that has never been cleaned
  • A motor area thick with grease
  • Grease escaping from the fan outlet
  • A noisy fan that has got louder over time

If you run a church or community hall kitchen, near Church of St Mary the Virgin or elsewhere in Hammill Park, its extract still collects grease from every lunch and event.

What your quote should include

  • Whether VAT is included
  • Exactly which parts of the system are covered
  • Proof of accreditation you can verify
  • Whether the figure could change on the day
