Ductwork cleaning in Fawley, Oxfordshire
Ductwork cleaning in Fawley, surveyed first and signed off with a written report and photos. Ask us for a fixed quote.
- Duct runs with no cleaning record
- Grease pooling at the foot of the riser
- Hardened, baked-on grease in long horizontal runs
Do you need ductwork cleaning in Fawley?
A vertical riser can run up several floors. Grease clings to the walls and can run down to the base as liquid grease runs down. Access along its height is needed to clean it properly.
Most sites get in touch after spotting something like this:
- Fat dripping from the ductwork
- Sections of duct with no access panels
- Hardened, baked-on grease in long horizontal runs
- Readings above 200 microns from a grease thickness test
Greenlands, about 1.2 miles south-east, is one of the historic houses near Fawley; if you run event catering at a venue like that, cleans can be booked between functions.

Ductwork cleaning in Fawley
No two duct runs are the same, in Fawley or anywhere else. A few metres to an outside wall, or a riser up through the building to a roof fan. The survey traces the route and finds every access point before we quote. We’re often asked to deal with proof of duct cleaning for the insurer and heavy grease at the base of a riser, on bends and junctions, access panels and horizontal duct runs.
For a kitchen in or near Fawley, the visit is planned around opening hours and the journey, and the clean covers the whole system, as it would anywhere: canopy, filters, duct, fan and discharge, with a certificate and photo report at the end.
Accreditations are easy to claim and worth checking. We’re a BESCA Vent Hygiene Elite member, cleaning to BESA TR19® Grease, and we hold CHAS, SafeContractor and ISO 9001, and we are fully insured.

What a clean won’t put right
Some problems need a different service or another trade:
- Ductwork that was poorly designed
- Sections that can’t be reached safely without new access (those are recorded, and panels can be fitted)
- Fire dampers that do not close (they need testing and remedials)

Common questions in Fawley
Which council inspects kitchens in Fawley?
In Fawley, it’s Buckinghamshire council that carries out food hygiene inspections. It helps to keep the extract cleaning records with your food safety paperwork, so they’re ready if asked for.
Which fire and rescue service is responsible for Fawley?
It’s Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service, which covers Fawley. If a fire safety officer visits a commercial kitchen, they may ask about the fire risk assessment and how the extract is kept clean.
Can you quote from pictures?
Yes, if we can see what we need. Otherwise, we book a survey at a time that suits the site, and the quote follows that.
Can we book visits on a schedule?
Yes. Send details of the systems and how they’re used and we’ll propose a schedule with a fixed quote.
Can you look after several sites?
Yes. Send the list of sites and the work at each and you will get one fixed quote.
Is Fawley in your area?
Yes. Our area takes in London and the counties of South East England, and that includes Fawley.
Do you survey before quoting?
Yes. We always survey first, from your photos and details, or with a visit where necessary. A fixed quote follows.
What happens if you can’t reach some of it?
We never leave them off the paperwork. The report says which parts couldn’t be reached and why, along with a quote to put access in.
How it works
Night work is normal for us. A lot of visits happen overnight or at weekends, so a kitchen or building can carry on as usual the next day. On site, the work takes a shift or more, depending on the length of the runs and the number of access points. The timing of a visit to Fawley is set by you, and the travel is our side of the planning.
- We start by working out how the duct runs and where it can be opened.
- We measure grease thickness at set points before cleaning.
- We open the panels and scrape out the heaviest grease.
- Horizontal runs and risers are then degreased by the method that suits the deposit.
- We test again, take pictures and note any part that couldn’t be reached.
How to prepare
- Clear loose items from the work area
- Mention any locked doors, roof access or ceiling voids
- Tell us where we can park and unload

Leave it or put it right?
BESA guidance says grease shouldn’t exceed a mean of 200 microns between cleans. Anywhere that reaches 500 microns or more needs immediate spot cleaning. Leaving the duct makes those limits harder to keep to. Systems in rural buildings are often out of sight and out of mind.
What you pay depends on how big the system is, what state it’s in and how easy it is to reach. We give you a fixed price before any work starts, so there are no surprises.

Aftercare tips
How long the results last depends on use and care. We suggest:
- Have the grease measured if cooking hours go up
- File each certificate and photo report in the maintenance log
- Book the next clean before the recommended date
- Don’t block access panels with shelving or stock
Access panels are closed and sealed back up after cleaning, and the area around them is cleaned down. Waste grease and water are taken away.
Keep to the cleaning interval on the report. A change in cooking hours may change the interval under BESA guidance, and grease thickness testing will show it.
What else we do in Fawley
Fawley kitchens: local notes
Kitchens in Fawley get their food hygiene inspections from Buckinghamshire council. A greasy canopy or dripping filters are the sort of thing an inspection can pick up. Before-and-after photos from each clean are a simple way to show the extract is in hand. Fawley sits within the area of Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service. In most workplaces, including commercial kitchens, it’s the fire and rescue authority that enforces the Fire Safety Order.
Church and community hall kitchens, near St Mary the Virgin's Church or anywhere around Fawley, are easy to forget, but their extracts collect grease like any other. Healthcare kitchens, like those at hospitals such as Marlow Community Hospital (about 5.8 miles east), often cook for long hours, which puts them in BESA’s heavier-use bands.
Fawley is about 6 miles west of Marlow, in Oxfordshire. We carry out ductwork cleaning for commercial premises of every kind in Fawley and the rest of Oxfordshire. Our Oxfordshire coverage runs to 443 places, and Fawley is one of them. You can also see our page for Reading, about 9 miles away.

Part by part
Multi-storey and shared buildings
Long ducts in larger buildings can mean several visits. We agree a sequence that suits the building, out of hours where possible.
Access panels
Access panels are the doors that let us into the duct. Where there are none, those sections can’t be cleaned, and TR19 expects them to be recorded.
Managing agents and facilities teams in Fawley
We also work for facilities teams across offices, schools and healthcare in Fawley and across Oxfordshire. Larger estates can be phased building by building to keep disruption down.
When the building owner and the occupier are different, the lease normally sets out who maintains what. We are happy to deal with either side and send the paperwork to whoever needs it.
