Duct cleaning in Anna Valley
For cleaning of kitchen extract ductwork, horizontal runs and vertical risers through access panels in Anna Valley, one call is all it takes: survey, fixed quote, work and sign-off. CHAS and SafeContractor accredited, ISO 9001 and fully insured.
- Grease leaking from duct joints
- Readings above 200 microns from a grease thickness test
- Proof of duct cleaning for the insurer
What the work involves, part by part
Multi-storey and shared buildings
In a shared building, the duct links the kitchen to other spaces, which makes keeping it clean all the more important. Your certificate and report give building managers the record they need.
Access panels
After cleaning, every panel is closed and sealed so the duct stays tight. We’ll tell you if any panel needs replacing.
Ductwork cleaning in Anna Valley, done properly
The ductwork is where an extract clean is won or lost. Without enough access panels, long stretches can go years without being touched. We open up every reachable section and record any we can’t reach, so you know exactly where you stand. The work covers vertical risers, horizontal duct runs and attenuators, and the jobs we see most are thick deposits at the bottom of a vertical duct and thick crusts of old grease along the duct.
Rural kitchens often have long, low duct runs through a roof space or along an outside wall, where grease settles in the flat sections. We agree access and timings in advance.
The paperwork matters as much as the work. Each visit is written up with pictures, covering the work done, any areas we couldn’t access and a recommended next date. Keep it with your fire safety records so it’s ready for an insurer, fire officer or EHO.

How we price ductwork cleaning
There’s no set price list, because sites vary so much. The quote depends on:
- Any permits to work or inductions
- Access, including roofs, risers and ceiling voids
- When the work can happen, such as evenings, overnight or weekends
- The scale of the work
What you pay reflects the actual work. That is why we survey first, from pictures or on site, and the price is agreed before any work starts.
Asking for a quote
Before you ask for a quote, gather:
- When the site is open and when it’s quiet
- The site address and the type of premises
- Any previous report or certificate
- A few general shots of the system
Here’s what helps us quote: where the site is, what it is and its opening hours, photos of the system and the last certificate or report, if there is one. Once you have those, give us a ring on 0345 646 2711, or email photos.
What a clean won’t put right
We’ll always give you a straight diagnosis, so here’s what ductwork cleaning won’t do:
- A damper stuck open in the duct
- Leaking duct joints that need repair
- Parts of the duct with no way in
Not sure which it is? You can call us on 0345 646 2711 or email us and we’ll tell you honestly.

- Access panels
- Bends and junctions
- Vertical risers
- Attenuators
- Horizontal duct runs
- Multi-storey ducts
How the visit works
We start by comparing what we find with the survey or your photos. If anything is different, we talk it through with the person on site before carrying on. From there, it takes anything from a few hours to several visits, depending on the length of duct. We agree a date with you, plan the drive to Anna Valley and turn up when the site is quiet.
- The duct route is surveyed and every access point found.
- Grease thickness is measured at set points.
- Once the kitchen has closed, we protect the area and open the panels.
- Thick grease is scraped out, then the runs and risers are degreased.
- We close up, re-test, photograph and record anything out of reach.
Preparing for the visit
- Arrange a key holder or contact on site
- Let us know when the site is closed or quiet
- Tell us where we can park and unload
How to get a quote
Photos are the quickest way to a quote: wide shots of the system, close-ups of anything that worries you and how we’d get to it. Tell us what kind of site it is and when it’s open, and we can price many jobs without a visit.

What your team can do, and what needs us
Away from the kitchen, the in-house job is mainly checking: keeping grilles clear, noting unusual noise or smells and logging filter changes. Cleaning inside ducts and units is specialist work.
When your team notices a problem between visits, like drips, unusual noise, smells or damaged filters, they should report it rather than try to fix it. We’ll take a look and give you a fixed quote.
Aftercare tips
Aftercare is simple, and it makes the next visit easier:
- Don’t block access panels with shelving or stock
- Make sure filters are seated properly
- Keep the fan on while anything is cooking
- Tell us if grease leaks from the ductwork
Any section of duct we couldn’t reach is listed on the report and why. We can fit access panels so those sections are cleaned next time.
Watch for warning signs between cleans: grease leaking from duct joints, smells, or a fan that sounds rough. Testing will show whether any section has reached 500 microns.
