Need TR19 inspection in Church End?

Part by part

Vertical risers

Risers carry the extract up through the building. Grease can run down and collect at the base, so the base is a key test point.

Schools, hospitals and care homes

Education kitchens need TR19 inspections like any other. Testing shows whether the interval suits.

TR19 inspection in Church End, done properly

Many insurers ask for proof that kitchen extract systems are cleaned and inspected to TR19®. Missing records can lead to a claim being reduced or refused. Our TR19 audits give sites in Church End and across Hampshire a clear record of the system’s condition. The work covers insurer audits, deposit thickness tests and pre-clean surveys, and people most often call us about an insurer’s request for a TR19 audit and kitchen extract systems with no recent grease readings.

In a small place like Church End, kitchens are often in older or extended buildings, with long single-storey duct runs, and those horizontal sections are where grease settles. Access, parking and timings are agreed before the day.

Insurers, fire officers and environmental health officers all look at records. That’s why every job is written up in a report with photos, plus a TR19® certificate through the BESCA VHE portal where the work is a TR19® Grease clean.

Church End questions

Do you work in villages like Church End?

Yes. Villages and rural sites across the South East are part of our work, Church End included. The journey is planned ahead, so a few details about the route help.

Do you work at weekends in Church End?

Yes, evening, overnight and weekend work is normal for us. That way a site in Church End doesn’t have to lose a day’s trading. Your opening times are the first thing we ask for.

Can you price the work without visiting?

Yes, if we can see what we need. Otherwise, we book a survey at a time that suits the site, then a fixed quote.

Which accreditations do you hold?

BESCA Vent Hygiene Elite membership, cleaning to BESA TR19® Grease, plus CHAS, SafeContractor and ISO 9001. We are fully insured and have been trading since 2009.

What if parts of the system can’t be reached?

We never leave them off the paperwork. The report says which parts couldn’t be reached and why, along with a quote to put access in.

What happens to the waste?

We contain it and take it with us. We collect grease, debris and waste water as we go, so it doesn’t spread.

Do you offer emergency callouts?

Yes, any time. If something urgent happens, like a fan failing or damage after a fire, call our 24/7 line, and we’ll advise on what to do next.

How much does TR19 inspection cost in Church End?

It depends on the site, so we quote each one individually. To get one, call 0345 646 2711 or drop us a line with the site type, opening hours and a few photos.

What happens on the day

Night work is normal for us. Evenings, nights and weekends are when much of our work happens, so a kitchen or building can carry on as usual the next day. On site, the work takes a morning or less for one kitchen, more where there are several systems. In a small place like Church End, the journey is planned ahead and the visit arranged around the site’s hours.

  1. After the clean, we arrange a time to check the system.
  2. We open the access points used on the clean.
  3. Grease readings are taken again at set points.
  4. We photograph each area to record how it was left.
  5. The results are reported, with anything missed flagged.

Preparing for the visit

  • Move anything stored near the system
  • Make sure equipment near the work can be switched off and left to cool
  • Mention any sign-in, permit or induction we need

Getting a quote

To help us quote: where the site is, what it is and its opening hours, pictures of the system and the last certificate or report, if there is one. Once you have those, phone us on 0345 646 2711, or send details by email.

Common problems we fix in Church End

Records can go missing when a business changes hands or contractors. With no history, the current state of the extract is a guess.

It’s time to book a visit if you see:

  • Sites with gaps in their extract records
  • Sections of duct that cannot be reached
  • Pre-clean surveys before a first TR19 clean
  • Checking the result of a recent clean

If you run catering at a historic house or estate in the area (The Vyne is about 2.5 miles west), event kitchens in older buildings often have awkward duct runs that need planning.

Before you book anyone

  • How areas they can’t reach will be recorded
  • Whether they’re fully insured
  • When they can work, and whether that’s outside your opening hours
  • If they look at the system before pricing

The cleanliness of the kitchen and its equipment, extraction included, is part of what they check. A dated certificate in the maintenance file answers the question before it’s asked.

Why deal with it now?

Post-clean verification shows whether the system was left the way the certificate says, before the next clean is due. It’s worth booking a check, because nobody sees inside a duct day to day.

When the work has to happen, how we reach it and how big the site is can all change the price. Each of those is built into the quote and give you a fixed price before we start.

Why us?

  • Work around your opening hours, with 24/7 emergency cover
  • A BESCA Vent Hygiene Elite member, cleaning to BESA TR19® Grease
  • One contact for all your sites in London and the South East
  • A written report with pictures after every visit

In-house cleaning or a specialist?

Some jobs should never be done in-house: opening up ductwork, cleaning fans, drop testing fire dampers and measuring grease call for the right kit, training and safe access. Leave those to us.

Staff cleaning and specialist work are not the same thing. A daily filter wipe and a weekly filter wash keep grease down at the front of the system, but grease that has passed the filters is out of reach. That part needs specialist access and equipment.

When it’s something else

Some problems need a different service or another trade:

  • Fire safety duties beyond the extract system
  • Heavy deposits found on test, which still need cleaning
  • Mechanical faults in the extract

If in doubt, ring 0345 646 2711, or send details by email and we will say what we think.
