Need TR19 inspection in Chambers' Green?

TR19 inspection for kitchens and businesses in Chambers' Green

Insurance policies often require evidence of TR19® cleaning and inspection. Missing records can lead to a claim being reduced or refused. Our TR19 audits give sites in Chambers' Green and across Kent a clear record of the system’s condition. The work covers pre-clean surveys, access surveys and post-clean checks, and people most often call us about systems that need surveying before cleaning and checking the result of a recent clean.

In a small place like Chambers' Green, kitchens are often in older or extended buildings, with long single-storey duct runs, where grease settles in the flat sections. Access, parking and timings are agreed before the day.

We are CHAS and SafeContractor accredited, we hold ISO 9001 and we’re fully insured. On top of that, we are a BESCA Vent Hygiene Elite member, cleaning to BESA TR19® Grease, trading since 2009.

How the visit works

On the day, we arrive at the time agreed with you, which is often after service, overnight or at a weekend. Equipment that has to be off is switched off and allowed to cool before we start, and floors and nearby surfaces are sheeted. The work itself takes anything from an hour for a small canopy and short duct to a good part of a day for a large site. We agree a date with you, plan the drive to Chambers' Green and turn up when the site is quiet.

  1. Post-clean verification is booked once the clean is done.
  2. The same access points are opened up.
  3. We repeat the WFTT or DTT readings.
  4. We photograph each area to record how it was left.
  5. The results are reported, with anything missed flagged.

Getting ready for the visit

  • Mention any locked doors, roof access or ceiling voids
  • Arrange a key holder or contact on site
  • Tell us about site rules, permits or sign-in

Getting a quote

The quickest way to a quote is to send pictures: the system from a couple of angles, plus any access panels or hatches. Add the site type and your opening hours, and many jobs can be priced from that alone.

Advice

Landlords, agents and facilities managers

For anyone managing more than one site, we can plan visits across the whole estate and price them together. Each site gets its own report and photos, so records stay tidy.

The Fire Safety Order 2005 puts the duty to manage fire risk on the responsible person, and that can be the employer, the owner, a landlord, a facilities manager or a managing agent. With shared responsibility, good records help everyone.

Between visits

No system stays clean for ever, but care slows the build-up. Our tips:

  • Keep the route to access panels clear
  • Keep grease filters clean and fitted properly
  • Store grease readings where your insurer can see them
  • Send TR19 audit reports to your insurer on request

If any reading is 500 microns or more, the report flags it for immediate spot cleaning, and we can arrange it.

Keep all TR19 records together so you can produce them quickly.

Different parts, different methods

Extract fan and discharge

Grease builds up on the fan blades and inside the housing. They’re included in the readings and pictures.

Horizontal duct runs

Grease settles on the floor of horizontal ducts as the air cools. We test at points along the run through access panels.

FAQs for Chambers' Green

Can you get to a site in Chambers' Green?

Yes, Chambers' Green is part of our area, however small the site. Just mention lanes, gates or anything else about the site when you book.

Do you work at weekends in Chambers' Green?

Yes, nights and weekends are routine for us. It means the site in Chambers' Green keeps running as normal. Just call 0345 646 2711, or email photos with your opening times and we will plan around them.

How long does a TR19 inspection take?

Testing takes around an hour or two per canopy and duct system. Sites with several canopies take longer, so call 0345 646 2711 or drop us a line and we’ll plan it.

What’s TR19?

TR19® is the BESA specification for keeping ventilation systems clean. Since 2019, TR19® Grease has been a standalone specification for grease in kitchen extract systems, and TR19® Air covers general supply and extract systems.

Is a quote from photos possible?

Often, yes. Photos of the system and the access, plus your opening hours and last report, are often enough. Larger or hidden systems need a survey on site first.

How much does TR19 inspection cost?

The cost depends on the size of the system, its condition, access and timing. Ask us for a fixed quote and we’ll typically reply within one working day.

How often should a kitchen extract be inspected?

Often enough to know the mean stays under 200 microns between cleans. If readings rise, the interval should shorten.

What happens if you can’t reach some of it?

They’re listed in the report, never skipped quietly. The report says which parts couldn’t be reached and why, and we can quote to improve the access.

Leave it or put it right?

Skipping grease testing leaves the cleaning interval to guesswork. Any reading of 500 microns or more needs immediate spot cleaning under TR19® Grease, which you will not know without measuring. Planning a trip to Chambers' Green ahead is easier for everyone than a rushed one.

Whatever the type of site, the quote works the same way: how much there is, how we reach it, what state it’s in and when we can work. Call for a fixed quote and we will go through it with you.

Honest limits

We’ll always give you a straight diagnosis, so here’s what TR19 inspection will not do:

  • Sections with no access, until panels are fitted
  • The legal duty, which stays with the responsible person
  • Ductwork that was designed or installed badly

Not sure which it is? You can phone us on 0345 646 2711 or send us an email and we’ll tell you honestly.

In-house cleaning or a specialist?

If your staff spot something between visits, like drips, unusual noise, smells or damaged filters, it’s best reported rather than tackled in-house. We can diagnose it and quote.

Good housekeeping makes our visits easier, not unnecessary. Regular in-house cleaning slows the build-up, but the parts you cannot see still need a specialist at the right interval.
