Need kitchen extract cleaning in Statenborough?

What happens if it’s left?

Grease that’s left only gets thicker. BESA guidance says the mean should not go above 200 microns between cleans, and anywhere reaching 500 microns or more needs a spot clean straight away. The longer it’s left, the bigger the job becomes. Somewhere as small as Statenborough, losing a kitchen or building to a fault is felt by everyone who uses it.

Kitchens, offices, schools and hospitals are all priced the same way: the size of the job, access, condition and working hours. Ask for a fixed quote and we’ll explain each part.

Kitchen duct cleaning in Statenborough

We’ve been trading since 2009, cleaning kitchen extracts across the South East and London. We’re a BESCA Vent Hygiene Elite member, cleaning to BESA TR19® Grease, and we are fully insured, with CHAS, SafeContractor and ISO 9001. Common call-outs are for grease smells coming from the extract and a kitchen taken over without any extract records, on plenums and filters, canopies and hoods and horizontal duct runs. Some call it canopy cleaning, others extract cleaning or duct cleaning, but a proper TR19® clean in Statenborough covers all of it, from the hood to the fan.

Access decides how thorough a clean can be. Where a duct run has no panels, we say so on the report and can fit new ones.

Rural kitchens often have long, low duct runs through a roof space or along an outside wall, where grease settles in the flat sections. We agree access and timings in advance.

Each visit ends with a written report and photos, so you have a record of what was done and when. Kitchen extract cleaning to TR19® Grease is certificated through the BESCA Vent Hygiene Elite portal.

What we do, step by step

On the day, we arrive at the time agreed with you, often in the evening, overnight or at the weekend so the site keeps working. Equipment that has to be off is switched off and allowed to cool before we start, and the area around the work is covered and protected. The work itself takes as long as the system needs, from a few hours to several planned visits. If you can send pictures, we can arrive in Statenborough knowing what to expect.

  1. You send pictures or we visit, and the system is surveyed from canopy to discharge.
  2. We take grease readings at set points and send you a fixed quote.
  3. On the night, the equipment is off and cool and the kitchen is sheeted.
  4. Filters, canopy and plenum are cleaned, then the ducts, risers, fan and discharge.
  5. Readings are repeated, photos taken, and your TR19 certificate and photo report issued.

Preparing for the visit

  • Tell us where we can park and unload
  • Clear the space around the work
  • Let us know how we reach the system, including roofs, risers and plant rooms

Getting a quote doesn’t take long. Send a few details and photos, and we normally reply with a fixed quote within one working day. Where a survey is needed, we arrange a time that suits the site.

What we’re called out for in Statenborough

A kitchen in Statenborough builds up grease in the same places as any other: in long flat runs, at bends and changes of direction, and in the fan housing. Cooler sections of duct collect the most.

Look out for any of the following:

  • Grease drips onto cooking equipment
  • Missing paperwork after a change of operator
  • An inspection that picked up a dirty extract
  • A smoky, hot kitchen with weak extraction

School kitchens, at schools like Sandwich Technology School for example, are usually cleaned in the holidays so no lunches are lost.

What to look for in a quote

  • Their accreditations, such as BESCA Vent Hygiene Elite, CHAS or SafeContractor
  • If they look at the system before pricing
  • What hours they’ll be on site
  • If the quote is a fixed price or an estimate

Kitchen extract cleaning around Statenborough

The Food Standards Agency lists about 5 pubs, bars and clubs as registered food businesses in and around Statenborough, up to about a mile and a half out. Breakfasts, bar meals and functions all put grease into the extract wherever they’re cooked. Environmental health officers from Dover council inspect food businesses in Statenborough. Statenborough sits within the area of Kent Fire and Rescue Service. Grease in a kitchen extract is a recognised fire risk, and the fire authority enforces the law on managing it in most commercial premises.

If you run catering at a historic house or estate in the area (Goodnestone Park is about 4.2 miles west), event kitchens in older buildings often have awkward duct runs that need planning. Where a hall near Church of St George, or anywhere in Statenborough, hosts lunch clubs or events, its extract gathers grease just as a café’s does.

Questions from Statenborough

Can you come to Statenborough after we close?

Yes, we can come after you close and finish before you open. The site is handed back ready to open. Tell us your opening hours when you ask for a quote.

Can you get to a site in Statenborough?

Yes, Statenborough is part of our area, however small the site. A survey first, from photos or a visit, means we arrive with the right kit.

Do you offer maintenance contracts?

Yes, of course. Send details of the systems and how they’re used, and we will suggest a schedule and quote for it.

How far ahead should we book?

It depends on the time you need and how big the job is. Mention your preferred dates with your enquiry, and if it’s an emergency, call us any time.

Can one contract cover all our sites?

Yes. Tell us the addresses and what each needs and we will quote them together.

How often should a kitchen extract be cleaned?

That comes down mainly to daily cooking hours. BESA’s minimums run from every 3 months for heavy use to every 12 months for light use. Your report gives a recommended next clean date.

Can you price the work without visiting?

Yes, for many jobs. Send a few wide pictures plus close-ups of panels, filters or grilles, and a fixed quote normally follows within one working day. Some sites still need a visit, and we’ll say so.

Do I have to clean my extract to TR19 by law?

TR19® is BESA’s specification, not legislation. Under the Fire Safety Order 2005, the responsible person must assess and reduce fire risk, and cleaning to TR19 is the recognised way to show you’ve dealt with extract grease.

What a clean won’t put right

Kitchen extract cleaning cannot fix everything, and we will tell you before any work starts. It won’t put right:

  • A duct that’s holed or coming apart
  • A fan motor or bearings that have failed (that needs a fan repair or replacement)
  • A canopy that’s too small or a system that was badly designed

If in doubt, give us a ring on 0345 646 2711 or email us and we will say what we think before booking.

What we work on in Statenborough

  • Vertical risers
  • Extract fans
  • Plenums and filters
  • Horizontal duct runs
  • Canopies and hoods
  • Discharge points

Aftercare tips

No system stays clean for ever, but care slows the build-up. Our tips:

  • Make sure every filter is fitted before cooking
  • Clean grease off the canopy surfaces regularly
  • Flag any change in how the extract sounds or works
  • Clean the grease filters regularly between TR19 cleans

Any section without access is marked on the report. That is part of an honest TR19 clean, not a failing, and new access panels can be fitted so the next clean covers it.

Keep the outside of the canopy wiped and any grease cups emptied. It will not replace a TR19 clean, but it slows what reaches the duct.

Managing agents and facilities teams in Statenborough

For anyone managing more than one site, we can schedule visits across all of them on one quote. Each site gets its own report and pictures, so records stay tidy.

Multi-site operators often want one contractor and one number. We cover South East England and London, so a run of sites can go into one programme and kept on a regular cycle.

How we price kitchen extract cleaning

You’ll get a fixed price before work begins. It’s based on:

  • How easy every part is to reach
  • The number of sites or systems
  • Site rules, permits and inductions
  • Parking and loading at the site

You won’t find a price list here, because the cost depends on the site in front of us. Call for a fixed quote, and we’ll talk you through it.

What to send for a quote

To help us quote quickly, please include:

  • A few general shots of the system
  • Detail shots of panels, filters and grilles
  • Your last certificate, test record or report
  • When the site is open and when it’s quiet

Need a price for kitchen extract cleaning? Please give us a ring on 0345 646 2711, or email photos with a few details about the site. We will talk you through the work and give you a fixed quote before you commit to anything.
