Kitchen deep cleaning for sites in Stock

Kitchen deep cleaning in Stock

A deep clean is the kitchen’s full treatment. The hidden corners get as much attention as the obvious ones and leave the kitchen ready to cook. It’s a fresh start that is easier to keep on top of. Typical jobs include signs of pests drawn by food debris and a new kitchen tenant inheriting a dirty kitchen, across walls and ceilings, stainless steel surfaces and behind and under equipment.

In rural areas, a kitchen may drain to a private system rather than a public sewer, so keeping fat out with a working grease trap matters even more.

A written report with photos follows every visit, so you have a record of what was done and when. Kitchen extract cleaning to TR19® Grease is certificated through the BESCA Vent Hygiene Elite portal.

Questions from Stock

Is Stock within the area you cover?

Yes, we work in villages as well as towns, and Stock is covered. Let us know about access, parking and anything unusual about getting there when you book.

Do you work at weekends in Stock?

Yes, out-of-hours work is a big part of what we do. The work in Stock can fit around your hours. Let us know the hours you’re closed and we will book within them.

Can you look after several sites?

Yes. Our area covers London and the South East, so sites at different addresses can be planned together on one programme. Every site has its own report.

Will a deep clean help with an EHO inspection?

A clean kitchen is part of what an EHO looks at. Deep cleaning takes care of grime in the places that are easy to miss and good daily cleaning keeps it that way.

What is TR19?

It’s BESA’s specification and the benchmark insurers, fire officers and EHOs look to. It sets out inspection, cleaning and record keeping and expects a risk-based approach.

What paperwork should we keep on file?

Visit reports, certificates and your in-house cleaning logs. Insurers, fire officers and EHOs may all ask to see them, so keep them where they can be found quickly.

Which kinds of sites do you work on?

Any site with a kitchen or a ventilation system to look after, from a small pub to a hospital. Hotels, schools, care homes, offices, shops and leisure sites are all part of our work.

Do you move heavy equipment to clean behind it?

Behind and under the equipment is where the worst build-up is, so we reach it wherever it’s safe to do so. We check what can be moved safely at the start.

Why deal with it now?

In Stock, deep cleans can be fitted around the kitchen’s quieter times. Waiting for a problem means doing it in a hurry, often at a bad moment. Rural sites cannot always move to another kitchen or room when something fails.

When the work has to happen, how we reach it and how big the site is all affect the cost. We take each of them into account and give you a fixed price before work begins.

What the work involves, part by part

Canopy exteriors

The outside of the canopy collects grease and dust. The outside of the canopy is cleaned with the rest of the kitchen.

Behind and under equipment

Behind and beneath the cooking line, grease and food debris collect. We clean behind and under equipment wherever it’s safe to move.

Stock kitchens: local notes

The FSA’s food hygiene register shows about 6 cafés, restaurants and staff canteens within about 1.5 miles of central Stock. Kitchens like these build up grease behind and under equipment, on walls and on ceilings. Environmental health officers from Chelmsford council inspect food businesses in Stock. The state of floors, drains and hard-to-reach corners all feeds into the inspection. Photos and dates from each deep clean make a useful record.

If you run a kitchen in an older building near Stock, such as a historic house like Ingatestone Hall (about 2.5 miles west), older drains make a working grease trap all the more important. Where a church or community hall near Church of All Saints, or anywhere in Stock, has a kitchen used by volunteers, a periodic deep clean keeps it ready for the next event. School kitchens, at schools like Stock Church of England Primary School for example, typically have their deep cleans and grease trap work done while the canteen is closed.

How we price kitchen deep cleaning

Your quote is based on your site. We take into account:

  • Whether several sites go on one quote
  • Access, including roofs, risers and ceiling voids
  • Parking and loading at the site
  • Whether it’s a one-off visit or part of a schedule

What you pay reflects the actual work. That’s why every job is surveyed first, and why the quote is fixed before work begins.

Helping us quote

To speed up the quote, send us:

  • Anything you’ve noticed, such as smells, noise, drips or poor airflow
  • The roof, plant room or outside wall the system runs to
  • Detail shots of panels, filters and grilles
  • When the site is open and when it’s quiet

There’s no standard price list, because every site is different. Instead, we look at your site first, from pictures or a survey, then send a fixed quote. To get going, call 0345 646 2711 or send us an email.

Managing agents and facilities teams in Stock

We also work for facilities teams across offices, schools and healthcare across Essex. Larger estates can be phased building by building to keep disruption down.

From a single site to a large estate, you get the same standard: diagnosis, a fixed price, work booked around your hours and a written report with photos.

Honest limits

It’s worth knowing the limits before booking:

  • Grease in the ducts above the kitchen
  • Cracked tiles or damaged wall cladding
  • Pests already in the kitchen

If in doubt, call 0345 646 2711 or drop us a line and we’ll say what we think.

Where we work

  • Floors and floor drains
  • Ranges and ovens
  • Stainless steel surfaces
  • Fryers and grills
  • Behind and under equipment
  • Walls and ceilings

Staff cleaning versus specialist work

Good housekeeping makes our visits easier, not unnecessary. Regular in-house cleaning slows the build-up, but hidden parts of the system still need specialist attention.

If your staff spot something between visits, like drips, unusual noise, smells or damaged filters, it’s best reported rather than tackled in-house. We’ll take a look and send you a fixed quote.

What we do, step by step

The visit has three parts: set-up, the treatment itself and the sign-off. Getting ready means protecting surfaces and switching off what needs to be off, and the sign-off is a written report with pictures. Most of the time goes on the work itself, and that takes one overnight or weekend visit for many kitchens, longer for large sites. The timing of a visit to Stock is set by you, and the travel is our side of the planning.

  1. First, we walk the kitchen with you and agree the scope.
  2. Appliances are switched off to cool while we protect the areas that need it.
  3. Ceilings, walls and high-level surfaces are cleaned first, working downwards.
  4. The equipment, and the floor and walls around it, are degreased and cleaned.
  5. The floors are done last, then everything is checked with you.

Preparing for the visit

  • Tell us about site rules, permits or sign-in
  • Clear the space around the work
  • Find the previous report, if there is one
