Need kitchen deep cleaning in Southend?

Staff cleaning versus specialist work

Good housekeeping makes our visits easier, not unnecessary. Clean filters and tidy surfaces slow the build-up, but hidden parts of the system still need specialist attention.

Keep a record of what your team does. A dated log of in-house cleaning and checks helps show that the system is managed between specialist visits, next to our reports.

Kitchen deep cleaning for kitchens and businesses in Southend

Kitchen deep cleaning covers the whole room, not just the cooking line: walls, floors, ceilings, and the equipment itself. We clean behind and underneath equipment where it can be moved safely as that’s where grease and food debris gather. If you have build-up behind fryers and ovens and a kitchen that needs a clean start, we can put it right.

Work in a small place like Southend starts with agreeing a date and access.

Accreditations are easy to claim and worth checking. We are a BESCA Vent Hygiene Elite member, cleaning to BESA TR19® Grease, and we hold CHAS, SafeContractor and ISO 9001, with full insurance on top.

What we do, step by step

When we arrive, we check the system against the survey or the photos you sent. If anything is different, we talk it through with the person on site before carrying on. From there, it takes anything from a single evening to more than one visit, depending on the kitchen. We agree a date with you, plan the drive to Southend and turn up when the site is quiet.

  1. We start by agreeing which areas and equipment are in the clean.
  2. Cooking equipment is switched off and left to cool, and the area is prepared.
  3. Ceilings, walls and high-level surfaces are cleaned first, working downwards.
  4. The equipment, and the floor and walls around it, are degreased and cleaned.
  5. Floors are cleaned last and the kitchen is left ready for the next service.

Preparing for the visit

  • Let us know about permits to work or site inductions
  • Plan for cooking equipment or plant to be off before we arrive
  • Let us know how we reach the system, including roofs, risers and plant rooms

Ask for a quote

Quoting starts with a diagnosis, from your photos and details or, where that isn’t enough, a survey on site. Then we send a fixed price so you know the cost before any work starts.

Southend questions

Can you get to a site in Southend?

Yes, Southend is part of our area, however small the site. The journey is planned ahead, so a few details about the route help.

Can the work in Southend be done at night or at weekends?

Yes. We work evenings, overnight and at weekends. The work in Southend can fit around your hours. Let us know the hours you’re closed and we will book within them.

Do you offer maintenance contracts?

Yes. Tell us what you have and how it’s used, and we’ll suggest a schedule and quote for it.

What is TR19?

BESA’s ventilation hygiene specification, with two parts that matter most here: TR19® Grease for kitchen extracts and TR19® Air for supply and extract systems. It is not legislation, but it’s the standard people check against.

Do you provide a certificate or report?

Yes, always. It’s a dated, written report with pictures, and TR19® Grease cleans come with a certificate through the BESCA VHE portal. Keep it in your maintenance log.

How much time does a deep clean need?

That comes down to the kitchen, and a deep clean normally takes one overnight or weekend visit for many kitchens, longer for large sites. We’ll confirm when we quote.

Can you come out in an emergency?

Yes, day and night, every day of the year. Our office is open from 8am to 6pm on weekdays, and the emergency line covers the rest.

Can you look after several sites?

Yes. Tell us the addresses and what each needs and you will get one fixed quote.

What affects the cost of kitchen deep cleaning

There’s no set price list, because sites vary so much. The quote depends on:

  • Site requirements such as sign-in and permits
  • A single visit or a regular plan
  • The condition we find in the survey
  • How easy every part is to reach

Several systems or sites on one quote can make for a more efficient booking. Tell us about everything you’d like looked at, and you’ll get one fixed quote.

What to send for a quote

Photos let us diagnose from a distance. Try to include:

  • Your last certificate, test record or report
  • Your opening hours and when the area is out of use
  • How we’d reach plant on a roof or in a plant room
  • Detail shots of panels, filters and grilles

We do not publish a price list, because every site is different. We look at your system first, from photos or on a visit, then send a fixed quote. To get going, give us a ring on 0345 646 2711 or drop us a line.

Southend kitchens: local notes

Food Standards Agency records include about 3 pubs, bars and clubs within roughly a mile and a half of the centre of Southend. Wherever food is prepared there, a periodic deep clean and a clear grease trap keep things in order. It’s West Berkshire council that sends environmental health officers to food businesses in Southend. The state of floors, drains and hard-to-reach corners all feeds into the inspection. A cleaning log that includes deep cleans and grease trap visits shows the work is planned. We cover Southend, about 46 miles from central London, as part of our work across London and the South East. Visits are booked around your hours, evenings and weekends included.

If you run event catering at a historic house or estate in the area (Basildon Park is about 4.8 miles north), a deep clean before or after the busy season is worth planning. Where a church or community hall near St Peter's Church, or anywhere in Southend, has a kitchen used by volunteers, a periodic deep clean keeps it ready for the next event. If you look after a school kitchen, at a school such as Bradfield C.E. Primary School or anywhere near Southend, the holidays are the time for a deep clean or a grease trap clean.

Southend is about 5 miles north-east of Thatcham, in West Berkshire. Southend gets the same approach as every site we work on: diagnosis first, a fixed price, out-of-hours working where needed and a written report with pictures. Across West Berkshire, we cover 155 places, Southend among them. There’s also a page for Reading, roughly 7 miles from Southend.

Multi-site and managed buildings

From a single site to a large estate, you get the same standard: a survey first, a fixed quote, the work timed around the site and a report with photos.

Managing agents often deal with us directly. Send the address, what’s needed and how access works and we’ll come back with a fixed quote.

What the work involves, part by part

Floors

A clean floor is safer for staff and makes daily cleaning easier.

Canopy exteriors

The inside of the canopy, the plenum and the ducts need a TR19 clean. We can do both on the same visit.

Why deal with it now?

An inspection can come at any time. A kitchen with grime behind equipment and on ceilings is harder to defend, however good the daily routine. Regular deep cleans keep the kitchen inspection-ready. Systems in rural buildings are often out of sight and out of mind.

When the work has to happen, how we reach it and how big the site is can all change the price. We take each of them into account, and the price is fixed before work begins.

Between visits

Looking after the system between visits is straightforward, and it helps at the next visit:

  • Do not let debris build up behind the line
  • Mop right into the edges and corners
  • Keep a cleaning schedule and record it
  • Never cook with the extract switched off

Anything we notice during the clean, such as worn flooring or a dirty extract, is pointed out. That might mean a TR19® clean or a repair by another trade.

Setting deep cleans on a regular cycle keeps the kitchen in good health. Pairing them with TR19 extract cleaning keeps the whole kitchen on track.
