Kitchen deep cleaning near Ossemsley

About our kitchen deep cleaning in Ossemsley

Every deep clean we carry out in Ossemsley takes in the whole kitchen: walls, floors, ceilings, and the equipment itself. Where equipment can safely be moved, we clean behind and under it as that is where grease and food debris gather. We’re often asked to deal with a floor that daily mopping no longer gets clean and greasy, darkened kitchen ceilings, across ranges and ovens, walls and ceilings and fryers and grills.

Work in a small place like Ossemsley starts with agreeing a date and access, and the deep clean is the same as anywhere: walls, floors, ceilings and equipment.

The report is your system’s health record: dated, with photos, and showing what was done. For TR19® Grease cleans, the certificate comes through the BESCA Vent Hygiene Elite portal and sits alongside the report.

When it’s something else

It’s worth knowing the limits before booking:

  • An active pest infestation, which needs a pest control contractor
  • Grease in the ducts above the kitchen
  • A blocked or overflowing grease trap

Not sure which it is? You can call 0345 646 2711 or drop us a line and we’ll tell you honestly before you book.

What the work covers

  • Walls and ceilings
  • Fryers and grills
  • Floors and floor drains
  • Ranges and ovens
  • Behind and under equipment
  • Stainless steel surfaces

Why deal with it now?

Built-up grease around the cooking line is something that can burn. Leaving it adds to the fire risk in the kitchen on top of what’s in the ductwork. Deep cleaning removes it. Out of sight is the usual reason a rural system goes too long without attention.

We do not list prices on the website, because each job is priced on what it involves. Call for a fixed quote, and we’ll talk you through it.

How the visit works

Night work is normal for us. Evenings, nights and weekends are when much of our work happens, so a kitchen or building can carry on as usual the next day. On site, the work takes anything from a few hours to a full night, depending on the size of the kitchen. In a small place like Ossemsley, the journey is planned ahead and the visit arranged around the site’s hours.

  1. First, we walk the kitchen with you and agree the scope.
  2. Appliances are switched off to cool while we protect the areas that need it.
  3. We work from the top down, starting with ceilings and walls.
  4. Equipment is cleaned inside and out, along with the areas behind and underneath it.
  5. The floors are done last, then everything is checked with you.

Getting ready for the visit

  • Mention any sign-in, permit or induction we need
  • Allow time for equipment near the work to be turned off and cool down
  • Tell us about access, such as roof hatches, plant rooms, ceilings or locked areas

Ossemsley questions

Do you clean school kitchens in Ossemsley in the summer holidays?

Yes. Half-terms and the summer break are the natural time for school work. With about 2 schools and colleges on the FSA’s register within roughly a mile and a half of Ossemsley, it pays to plan holiday dates ahead. Just phone us on 0345 646 2711 or use the quote form with your term dates and we will plan around them.

Do you work at weekends in Ossemsley?

Yes, out-of-hours work is a big part of what we do. Your customers, staff or residents in Ossemsley needn’t be disturbed. Your opening times are the first thing we ask for.

Which records should we keep?

Everything that shows the system is looked after: our reports and pictures, any certificates and your in-house logs. A single log for each site works best.

What is TR19?

TR19® is BESA’s specification for ventilation hygiene. Since 2019, TR19® Grease has been a standalone specification for grease in kitchen extract systems, and TR19® Air covers general supply and extract systems.

Should we deep clean before an environmental health visit?

Yes, inspectors look at the whole kitchen. We can’t promise a particular rating but a deep clean gives you a clean starting point.

Can you clean behind fixed equipment?

Behind and under the equipment is a key part of the job. If something cannot be moved safely we clean as far around and under it as possible.

What should we do before the deep clean?

Put food, utensils and small items away before we start. We’ll tell you anything else when we confirm the visit.

What does commercial kitchen deep cleaning cost?

What staff can safely do

A few tasks are always specialist work: opening up ductwork, cleaning fans, drop testing fire dampers and measuring grease need training, the right equipment and safe access. That is our job.

Logging matters as much as cleaning. A simple log of filter washes, wipe-downs and checks helps show that the system is managed between specialist visits, next to our reports.

Ossemsley kitchens: local notes

The FSA’s data shows about 6 bars, pubs and nightclubs registered across Ossemsley and its immediate surroundings (about a mile and a half). Wherever food is prepared there, a periodic deep clean and a clear grease trap keep things in order. Food hygiene inspections in Ossemsley are the job of New Forest council’s environmental health team. The state of floors, drains and hard-to-reach corners all feeds into the inspection. Photos and dates from each deep clean make a useful record.

If you run catering at a healthcare site, such as a hospital like Lymington New Forest Hospital about 5.4 miles east, deep cleans and grease trap visits are planned so meals still go out. Where a church or community hall near St John, or anywhere in Ossemsley, has a kitchen used by volunteers, a periodic deep clean keeps it ready for the next event. Avon Tyrrell House, about 3.4 miles north-west, is one of the historic houses around Ossemsley; event kitchens at places like that work in bursts, so a deep clean after a busy season helps.

What the work involves, part by part

Walls and ceilings

Grease and steam rise and settle on walls and ceilings. They’re cleaned first, working downwards so nothing drips onto clean areas.

Behind and under equipment

Food debris behind equipment can attract pests. Clearing it out is a core part of a deep clean.

Looking after it afterwards

To keep the system working properly between visits:

  • Don’t let the extract cleaning slip
  • Clean behind movable equipment regularly
  • Report damaged surfaces early so they can be repaired
  • Keep the extract running while you cook

Equipment is put back in place before we leave, ready for your staff to check and start up. Nothing special is needed after that from then on.

Grease that’s left only gets harder to remove. Booking one sooner keeps the work manageable, and keeps the kitchen ready for an inspection.

Landlords, agents and facilities managers

Keeping records across a portfolio is half the battle. Every visit ends with a dated report and photos, so you can show an insurer or inspector what was done at each site.

Managing agents often deal with us directly. Send the address, what’s needed and how access works, and we will send a fixed quote.
