Kitchen deep cleaning in Cow Roast
We clean from the ceiling down. Ceilings and high-level areas come first, followed by walls, equipment and floors, so nothing falls onto surfaces we have already cleaned. Equipment is switched off and left to cool before any work starts. The work covers stainless steel surfaces, fryers and grills and walls and ceilings, and the jobs we see most are preparation for an EHO inspection and cooking equipment caked in carbon.
Work in a small place like Cow Roast starts with agreeing a date and access.
Good records are part of the job. You get a written report with pictures after each visit, listing what was done, anything we couldn’t reach and when the next visit is due. File it in your maintenance log so it’s to hand when an insurer or inspector asks.

What the work involves, part by part
School and care home kitchens
School kitchens can be deep cleaned during the holidays so the kitchen is ready when pupils return.
Behind and under equipment
The areas behind and under equipment are where grime hides. Where equipment can be moved safely, we move it and clean underneath.
Aftercare tips
Looking after the system between visits is straightforward, and it helps at the next visit:
- Clean behind movable equipment regularly
- Do not let the extract cleaning slip
- Get cracked tiles and damaged surfaces fixed
- Never cook with the extract switched off
Anything we notice during the clean, such as worn flooring or a dirty extract, is pointed out. That might mean a TR19® clean or a repair by another trade.
Grease that is left only gets harder to remove. A deep clean now saves a much bigger job later, and keeps the kitchen ready for an inspection.
How the visit works
Your trading hours come first. We book the visit for a time the area is closed, whether that’s an evening, overnight or a weekend. Once we’re in, the area is sheeted and anything that has to be off is turned off and cooled, and the job takes one overnight or weekend visit for many kitchens, longer for large sites. Rural roads and tight entrances are worth telling us about before a visit to Cow Roast.
- We agree the scope of the clean and the time to attend.
- Equipment is switched off and allowed to cool.
- High-level surfaces, walls and the canopy exterior are cleaned.
- Equipment is cleaned, along with the areas behind and under it.
- The floors are cleaned and the kitchen is checked with you.
Before we arrive
- Let us know when the site is closed or quiet
- Make sure someone can let us in and lock up afterwards
- Move anything stored near the system

Your questions about kitchen deep cleaning in Cow Roast
Is Cow Roast within the area you cover?
Yes. Villages and rural sites across the South East are part of our work, Cow Roast included. Just mention lanes, gates or anything else about the site when you book.
Do you work in school kitchens around Cow Roast out of term?
Yes, out-of-term visits are normal for schools. The FSA’s register shows about 4 schools and colleges with food registrations within roughly a mile and a half of Cow Roast. Tell us your holiday dates and we’ll book the visit for when the site is empty.
How do you keep the site clean during the work?
Protection goes down first: sheeting over floors, worktops and anything close to the work. We tidy up and take our waste away before we leave.
Which areas does a deep clean cover?
The whole kitchen: walls, ceilings, floors and equipment, including behind and under equipment where it can be moved safely. We agree the exact scope with you before work begins.
Will the deep clean disrupt service?
It’s timed for when the kitchen isn’t cooking. Deep cleans happen when the kitchen is closed, and the kitchen is ready to cook when we leave.
Do we need to prepare anything before you arrive?
Not much. Clear food and loose items from surfaces, and make sure we can get in at the agreed time.
Are you insured?
Yes. We carry full insurance, and we’ve been trading since 2009.
What if parts of the system can’t be reached?
They’re listed in the report, never skipped quietly. You’ll know exactly which parts weren’t reached and why, and we can quote to improve the access.

If you look after a hall kitchen near Church of St Bartholomew (church of England) or anywhere in Cow Roast, a deep clean between busy seasons is easier than a scramble before a big event. How we price kitchen deep cleaning
A fixed price needs a few facts first. We check:
- Whether it’s a one-off visit or part of a schedule
- Whether several sites go on one quote
- Site requirements such as sign-in and permits
- Travel, parking and unloading
What you pay depends on how big the system is, the condition it’s in and how easy it is to reach. You get a fixed price before we start, so there are no surprises.
Asking for a quote
To help us quote quickly, please include:
- Close-ups of filters, grilles, hatches or access panels
- Your last certificate, test record or report
- Photos showing the whole system and its surroundings
- Your opening hours and when the area is out of use
For a fixed quote, call 0345 646 2711 or email us with the site type, your trading hours and a short description of the system. A few pictures and your last certificate or report help a lot. We usually come back within one working day.
What else we do in Cow Roast
Landlords, agents and facilities managers
Running several sites is easier with one contractor. We work across London and the South East, so a run of sites can go into one programme and kept on a regular cycle.
For anyone managing more than one site, we can schedule visits across all of them on one quote. Each site gets its own report and photos, so each one has its own record.
Honest limits
We’d rather tell you now than book work that will not help, so these are the things it won’t cover:
- Damaged flooring, walls or ceilings that need repair
- Grease in the ducts above the kitchen
- An active pest infestation, which needs a pest control contractor
If in doubt, call 0345 646 2711 or drop us a line and we’ll say what we think before you book.
What the work covers
- Floors and floor drains
- Ranges and ovens
- Walls and ceilings
- Stainless steel surfaces
- Behind and under equipment
- Fryers and grills
What staff can safely do
Staff cleaning and specialist work aren’t the same thing. A daily filter wipe and a weekly filter wash keep grease down at the front of the system, but grease that has passed the filters is out of reach. Reaching it takes a specialist with the right equipment.
Staff cleaning does not replace a specialist visit; it supports it. Regular in-house cleaning slows the build-up, but the parts you cannot see still need a specialist at the right interval.
