Kitchen deep cleaning for sites in Brasted

Kitchen deep cleaning in Brasted

Environmental health officers inspect the cleanliness of the whole premises. Build-up on walls, ceilings and behind equipment is part of what they see. A thorough deep clean brings every surface up to standard whenever it’s needed. Common call-outs are for greasy, darkened kitchen ceilings and floors with grease along the edges, on stainless steel surfaces, ranges and ovens and walls and ceilings.

London kitchens work hard in small spaces, so grease collects behind equipment, on ceilings and in drains and grease traps. In Brasted, deep cleans and grease trap work are usually done overnight.

We have been trading since 2009, and we’re a BESCA Vent Hygiene Elite member, cleaning to BESA TR19® Grease. We also hold CHAS, SafeContractor and ISO 9001, and we carry full insurance.

When it’s something else

Some problems need a different service or another trade:

  • Blocked drains and grease traps, which are a separate service
  • The inside of the extract system
  • Appliance breakdowns

If in doubt, phone us on 0345 646 2711 or email us and we will say what we think before booking.

Parts of the system we cover

  • Behind and under equipment
  • Walls and ceilings
  • Stainless steel surfaces
  • Fryers and grills
  • Floors and floor drains
  • Ranges and ovens

Different parts, different methods

Floors

The worst floor grime hides along edges and under the line. That is where we focus.

School and care home kitchens

School holidays are a good time for a deep clean so the kitchen is ready when pupils return.

How it works

We turn up at the time agreed with you, which is often after service, overnight or at a weekend. Equipment that has to be off is switched off and allowed to cool first, and the area around the work is covered and protected. The work itself takes several hours, depending on the kitchen and the equipment in it. We fit London jobs around the building rather than the other way round, so a visit in Brasted is usually out of hours.

  1. First, we agree what’s being cleaned and when.
  2. We make sure all cooking equipment is off and cool.
  3. We work down from the ceiling, cleaning walls and the canopy exterior.
  4. We clean the equipment and the hidden areas around it.
  5. The floors are cleaned and the kitchen is checked with you.

Advice

Questions from Brasted

Do you clean school kitchens in Brasted in the summer holidays?

Yes. Half-terms and the summer break are the natural time for school work. With about 2 schools and colleges on the FSA’s register within roughly a mile and a half of Brasted, it pays to plan holiday dates ahead. Tell us your holiday dates and we’ll book the visit for when the site is empty.

Do you work at weekends in Brasted?

Yes, nights and weekends are routine for us. It means the site in Brasted keeps running as normal. Your opening times are the first thing we ask for.

Are you insured?

Yes, fully. We also hold CHAS and SafeContractor for clients who vet their contractors.

What do you clean in a commercial kitchen deep clean?

Walls, floors, ceilings and cooking equipment, plus the areas behind and under the equipment. The scope is agreed before the visit.

What do you do to protect the area?

We start with protection: floor sheeting and covers over nearby surfaces and equipment. We tidy up and take our waste away before we leave.

How long does a kitchen deep clean take?

Typically, a deep clean takes anything from a few hours to a full night, depending on the size of the kitchen. Bigger kitchens or heavy build-up need more time and we’ll say so when we quote.

Will you tell us when the next visit is due?

Yes. The report recommends when the next visit should be, based on what we found and how the system is used.

What if parts of the system can’t be reached?

We record them on the report, with pictures where possible, and we explain what access is needed, such as extra access panels in ductwork.

What affects the quote in Brasted

The survey tells us what the work involves. The main factors are:

  • Working hours and out-of-hours timing
  • Where the site is and how we reach it
  • Site rules, permits and inductions
  • How easy every part is to reach

No two sites are the same, so we price each one individually. The size of the job, how we reach it, its condition and the working hours all play a part.

Asking for a quote

To help us quote quickly, send us:

  • When the site is open and when it’s quiet
  • Anything you’ve noticed, such as smells, noise, drips or poor airflow
  • Any access panels or hatches you can see
  • A few general shots of the system

Here’s what helps us quote: where the site is, what it is and its opening hours, photos of the system and any previous report or certificate. Then call us on 0345 646 2711 or use the quote form.

What happens if it’s left?

In Brasted, deep cleans can be fitted around the kitchen’s quieter times. Waiting for a problem means doing it in a hurry at the worst possible time. In Brasted, as across London, ductwork often passes through shared risers and other people’s space.

The price reflects the work, not guesswork. That’s why every job is surveyed first, and the price is agreed before any work starts.

What you get with us

  • Survey first, then a fixed quote

Brasted kitchens: local notes

The Food Standards Agency lists about 11 bars, pubs and nightclubs as registered food businesses within roughly a mile and a half of the centre of Brasted. Wherever food is prepared there, a periodic deep clean and a clear grease trap keep things in order. Compact London kitchens collect grease in tight corners, which an overnight deep clean can reach. Environmental health officers from Sevenoaks council inspect food businesses in Brasted. The state of floors, drains and hard-to-reach corners all feeds into the inspection. Keeping a record of deep cleans and grease trap visits helps at inspection time.

Half-term is a good time for school kitchens, at schools like Combe Bank School for instance, to have the grease trap emptied and the kitchen deep cleaned. Hall and church kitchens, near Church of St Martin or anywhere around Brasted, are used by many hands, and periodic deep cleans and grease trap visits keep them in order. If you run catering at a healthcare site, such as a hospital like Tandridge Priory about 3.8 miles south-west, deep cleans and grease trap visits are planned so meals still go out.

In-house cleaning or a specialist?

Some jobs should never be done in-house: opening up ductwork, cleaning fans, drop testing fire dampers and measuring grease call for the right kit, training and safe access. Leave those to us.

Day-to-day cleaning is something your team can do: wiping down canopy surfaces, cleaning filters and keeping a simple log. Inside the ducts, risers and fan is specialist work, and that is where we come in.

Aftercare tips

Results last longer with the right care. Here’s what we suggest:

  • Plan the next deep clean in advance
  • Pull out equipment for cleaning where it’s safe to do so
  • Write down what gets cleaned and when
  • Get cracked tiles and damaged surfaces fixed

If we spot anything that needs attention, like damaged surfaces or a greasy canopy, we tell you. It may need an extract clean or another trade.

Splashes left on hot surfaces bake on. Keeping on top of them with deep cleans saves effort and helps the equipment last.
