Grease trap cleaning in Millbridge, done properly
Grease is behind most blocked kitchen drains. Further on, grease can build into fatbergs in the sewer. A grease trap that’s emptied and cleaned regularly keeps them out of the drains. The work covers under-sink grease traps, kitchen waste pipes and restaurants and takeaways, and common reasons people get in touch are sinks that drain slowly and a blocked kitchen drain caused by grease.
In rural areas, a kitchen may drain to a private system rather than a public sewer, and fat getting past a grease trap can cause real trouble there.
Think of the report as the system’s health record: a dated account with photos of everything we did. Grease extract cleans are also certificated to TR19® Grease through the BESCA VHE portal, ready for your insurer.

What the work involves, part by part
School, care home and staff kitchens
Kitchens that serve set mealtimes fill their traps more steadily. A regular interval suits them well.
Inline grease traps
Inline traps often take waste from several sinks or appliances. More waste means faster filling.
Millbridge: your questions answered
Will you come out to Millbridge?
Yes. Millbridge is within the area we cover across London and the South East. Let us know about access, parking and anything unusual about getting there when you book.
Can you work in school kitchens in Millbridge during the holidays?
Yes, and it’s the easiest time to do it. With about 3 schools and colleges on the FSA’s register within roughly a mile and a half of Millbridge, it pays to plan holiday dates ahead. Tell us your holiday dates and we will book the visit for when the site is empty.
Is there a survey before the work?
Yes. Photos often do the job, and larger or hidden systems get a visit.
Do you have insurance?
Yes, we’re fully insured. We also hold CHAS and SafeContractor for clients who vet their contractors.
Can we book visits on a schedule?
Yes, of course. Tell us what you have and how it’s used and we will propose a schedule with a fixed quote.
How do you keep the site clean during the work?
We start with protection: floor sheeting and covers over nearby surfaces and equipment. We tidy up and take our waste away before we leave.
What happens to the waste?
Waste is contained during the work and removed when we leave, from grease and debris to used cleaning water. We don’t leave it behind.
What accreditations do you have?
CHAS, SafeContractor, ISO 9001 and BESCA Vent Hygiene Elite membership, cleaning to BESA TR19® Grease. We have been trading since 2009 and we are fully insured.
How the visit works
We turn up at the time agreed with you, often in the evening, overnight or at the weekend so the site keeps working. Equipment that has to be off is switched off and allowed to cool before any work starts, and floors and nearby surfaces are sheeted. On site, it takes a short visit for a small trap and longer for an inline unit or interceptor. Somewhere as small as Millbridge, the date and timings are agreed with you well before the day.
- First, we locate the grease trap and look at the pipework around it.
- The sinks feeding the trap are kept out of use while we work.
- Built-up fat, oil and grease is removed from the trap.
- The inside, baffles and pipe connections are cleaned.
- The trap is reassembled, checked for leaks and the waste taken away.
Getting ready for the visit
- Tell us where we can park and unload
- Make sure someone can let us in and lock up afterwards
- Tell us the best time to work, such as after service or at a weekend

Grease trap cleaning in Millbridge: local notes
According to Food Standards Agency records, there are about 4 pubs and bars in Millbridge and the streets around it, up to about 1.5 miles out. Any of them serving food has a kitchen that collects grease out of sight and drains that need protecting. It’s Waverley council that sends environmental health officers to food businesses in Millbridge. The state of floors, drains and hard-to-reach corners all feeds into the inspection. A cleaning log that includes deep cleans and grease trap visits shows the work is planned.
If you cater for weddings or events at a historic house in the area (Farnham Castle is about 3.1 miles north), deep cleans can be fitted between bookings. If you look after a hall kitchen near Church of St Mary the Virgin or anywhere in Millbridge, a deep clean between busy seasons is easier than a scramble before a big event.

Honest limits
An honest diagnosis matters more to us than a booking, so here’s what grease trap cleaning will not do:
- Blockages further down the drainage network
- Drains that need jetting rather than trap cleaning
- A grease trap that is too small for the kitchen
If you’re not sure, just phone us on 0345 646 2711, or email photos and we’ll give you a straight answer before you book.
Where we work
- Pot wash sinks
- School and care home kitchens
- Inline grease traps
- Restaurants and takeaways
- Under-sink grease traps
- Kitchen waste pipes
What we’re called out for in Millbridge
Oil tipped down the drain instead of being collected overloads the trap fast. Small amounts soon build up.
Keep an eye out for any of the following:
- An interceptor full of grease and solids
- Gurgling from the sink waste
- A bad smell from the sinks or drains
- A routine grease trap service
If you run a care home or healthcare kitchen near Millbridge (the nearest hospital is Chase Community Hospital, about 5.7 miles south-west), a grease trap on a set schedule avoids a blocked drain mid-service.
Comparing quotes

- Proof of accreditation you can verify
- Whether the quote shows VAT
Looking after it afterwards
Aftercare is simple, and it helps at the next visit:
- Avoid pouring boiling water down to shift grease
- Fit sink strainers to catch food scraps
- Tell us if your menu or hours change
- Get food waste into the bin, not the sink
Between cleans, keep food scraps out of the sink. Use strainers in the sink plugholes before they reach the trap.
If the kitchen has got busier, the trap fills faster. Booking cleans more often keeps the drains flowing.
Multi-site and managed buildings
We also work for facilities teams across offices, schools and healthcare across Surrey. Work can be phased by floor, building or site around the people who use them.
Multi-site operators often want one contractor and one number. We work across London and the South East, so visits at different addresses can be planned together and kept to a regular schedule.
How we price grease trap cleaning
We don’t publish a price list, because sites vary so much. What we look at:
- The times the site is available
- A single visit or a regular plan
- What state the system is in
- The size of the system
What you pay depends on how big the system is, what state it’s in and access to every part of it. We give you a fixed price before work begins, so there are no surprises.
What to send for a quote
There’s no need for technical detail. Just send:
- When the site is open and when it’s quiet
- Anything you’ve noticed, such as smells, noise, drips or poor airflow
- Where the site is and what kind of site it is
- Wide photos of the system and the area around it
For a fixed quote, give us a ring on 0345 646 2711, or send details by email with the site type, your trading hours and a short description of the system. Photos and the last report, if you have one, make the quote quicker. We normally come back within one working day.
