Grease trap cleaning for kitchens and businesses in Little London
For kitchens across Little London, grease trap cleaning fits easily around service. We empty, clean and check the trap, and the waste is taken away. It can be booked on its own or alongside other kitchen work. We are often asked to deal with an under-sink trap that keeps filling up and drains that gurgle and bubble, across kitchen waste pipes, under-sink grease traps and school and care home kitchens.
Rural kitchens may drain to a septic tank or a private drain rather than straight into a public sewer, and fat getting past a grease trap can cause real trouble there.
Insurers, fire officers and environmental health officers all look at records. That’s why every job is written up in a report with photos, and grease extract cleans come with a TR19® certificate issued through the BESCA Vent Hygiene Elite portal.

Why deal with it now?
Pouring hot water or chemicals down a slow drain is a common quick fix. That only moves the grease further down the pipe to set somewhere harder to reach. Emptying and cleaning the trap deals with the source. Rural sites cannot always move to another kitchen or room when something fails.
One small site or a whole estate, we price it on the same basis: what needs doing, how we get to it and when. You will have a fixed price before any work starts.

Looking after it afterwards
A little care between visits keeps the system in better shape. Our advice:
- Fit sink strainers to catch food scraps
- Make sure the trap can be reached easily
- Act on gurgling or smelly drains
- Scrape plates and pans into the bin before washing up
Scrape plates into the bin before washing up. Sink strainers help catch solids so less solid waste gets through.
A fixed cleaning interval means the trap never gets overfull. We agree the timing with you.
What the work involves, part by part
Under-sink grease traps
Under-sink traps are compact units fitted below the kitchen sink. Their small size means they fill fast, so they need frequent emptying.
School, care home and staff kitchens
Care home and hospital kitchens need their drains working all the time. Visits are planned between meals.
When something else is needed
Before you book, it helps to know what’s not included:
- Grease deep in the drains, which needs jetting by a drainage contractor
- A leaking sink waste or trap connection
- Blockages in the public sewer beyond the property
Not sure which it is? You can ring 0345 646 2711 or send us an email and we’ll tell you honestly.

How it works
Protection comes first: sheeting goes over floors and surfaces close to the work. After that, the system is made safe and the work begins. It takes an hour or so for an under-sink trap, longer for a larger unit, and we clear up before we go. We agree a date with you, plan the drive to Little London and turn up when the site is quiet.
- First, we locate the grease trap and look at the pipework around it.
- Nothing drains into the trap while it’s open.
- Built-up fat, oil and grease is removed from the trap.
- Every part of the trap is scraped and cleaned, including the baffles.
- We put it back together, run water through and remove the waste.
Preparing for the visit
- Plan for cooking equipment or plant to be off before we arrive
- Move anything stored near the system
- Tell us where we can park and unload
Ask for a quote
We don’t publish a price list, because no two systems are the same. We look at your system first, from photos or on a visit, and then send you a fixed quote. To start, call 0345 646 2711, or email photos.

Which kinds of sites do you work on?
Any commercial site with kitchens or ventilation, from a small pub to a hospital. We work with hotels, schools, care homes, offices, retail and leisure sites.
Do you offer maintenance contracts?
Yes. Send details of the systems and how they’re used, and we will suggest a schedule and quote for it.
Do you have insurance?
Yes, fully. We also hold CHAS and SafeContractor, for sites that check contractor safety.
Can you give me a price for grease trap cleaning?
Every trap is different, so we quote once we know what you have. You get a fixed quote, usually within one working day.
Do you recommend a next date?
Yes. The interval depends on how much the system is used and what we find, and we explain the reasoning on the report.
What should go in our maintenance log?
Anything that proves the system is maintained: reports, certificates, photos and your own cleaning or check logs. A single log for each site works best.
Do you need grease trap cleaning in Little London?
Fats, oils and grease from cooking and washing up go down the sink. In the trap, they cool and separate and the grease layer grows.
