Need grease trap cleaning in Foreland Fields?

When it’s something else

Some problems need a different service or another trade:

  • Blockages in the public sewer beyond the property
  • Leaking pipework or sink wastes, which need a plumber
  • Grease deep in the drains, which needs jetting by a drainage contractor

If in doubt, call 0345 646 2711, or email photos and we will say what we think before you book.

Parts of the system we cover

  • Pot wash sinks
  • Inline grease traps
  • Kitchen waste pipes
  • School and care home kitchens
  • Restaurants and takeaways
  • Under-sink grease traps

How we handle grease trap cleaning in Foreland Fields

No two traps are quite the same. Under-sink traps are compact and need frequent attention, while inline traps and interceptors hold more. We assess the trap and how fast it fills before suggesting how often it needs cleaning. Typical jobs include a slow-draining kitchen sink and gurgling from the sink waste, across inline grease traps, restaurants and takeaways and kitchen waste pipes.

For a kitchen in or near Foreland Fields, the visit is planned ahead, around opening times and the journey, and the deep clean is the same as anywhere: walls, floors, ceilings and equipment.

Nothing is signed off by word of mouth: a dated report with pictures of the work, plus a certificate through the BESCA Vent Hygiene Elite portal when the work is a TR19® Grease clean. Any parts we couldn’t reach are recorded on it too.

Why it’s worth doing now in Foreland Fields

A blocked drain can stop a kitchen in its tracks. Sinks won’t empty and waste water can come back up. Cleaning the grease trap on time helps prevent it. In a small place like Foreland Fields, a system that fails can take a site out of use.

Leaving it longer rarely makes the work cheaper. Problems in a system tend to grow, and a neglected system can mean more work. If you’re unsure, give us a ring on 0345 646 2711 or use the quote form for straight advice and a fixed quote.

The process

Night work is normal for us. A lot of visits happen overnight or at weekends, so the site can open as normal afterwards. The visit itself takes an hour or so for an under-sink trap, longer for a larger unit. If the van will struggle with a lane or gateway near Foreland Fields, let us know and we will plan around it.

  1. We agree a time when the sinks are not needed.
  2. The trap is opened up and checked.
  3. We remove the grease layer and settled solids.
  4. We clean the baffles, inlet and outlet.
  5. We close it up, check it drains and suggest when it needs cleaning again.

How to prepare

  • Let us know about parking and loading
  • Name a contact who can let us in at the agreed time
  • Clear loose items from the work area

What staff can safely do

Good housekeeping makes our visits easier, not unnecessary. Clean filters and tidy surfaces slow the build-up, but hidden parts of the system still need specialist attention.

Keep a record of what your team does. A simple log of filter washes, wipe-downs and checks shows an inspector that the system is looked after between visits, next to our reports.

Signs you need grease trap cleaning in Foreland Fields

Every pan and plate washed sends grease towards the drain. In the trap, they cool and separate, and the layer gets thicker day by day.

The symptoms we’re asked about most are:

  • Scheduled grease trap emptying
  • Grease setting in the kitchen pipework
  • Gurgling drains in the kitchen
  • A slow-draining kitchen sink

If you cater for weddings or events at a historic house in the area (Yaverland Manor is about 2.6 miles west), deep cleans can be fitted between bookings.

What your quote should include

  • Exactly which parts of the system are covered
  • How they set the interval to the next visit
  • Whether the quote shows VAT
  • Whether the work can be done while the site is closed

How we price grease trap cleaning

We quote each job individually. These are the things that affect it:

  • Working hours and out-of-hours timing
  • How many systems or sites are involved
  • Site rules, permits and inductions
  • The size of the system

One small site or a whole estate, the quote is built the same way: the work involved, the access and the timing. You’ll have a fixed price before we start.

What we need to know

Photos let us diagnose from a distance. Try to include:

  • Your last certificate, test record or report
  • Photos showing the whole system and its surroundings
  • Where the plant sits or the system leaves the building, such as a roof or outside wall
  • Your opening hours and when the area is out of use

The quickest way to a quote is to send pictures: wide shots of the system, close-ups of anything that worries you and how we’d get to it. Tell us what kind of site it is and when it’s open, and many jobs can be priced from that alone.

Multi-site and managed buildings

We also work for facilities teams across offices, schools and healthcare across the Isle of Wight. Larger estates can be phased building by building to keep disruption down.

If you look after several sites, we can plan visits across the whole estate and price them together. Every building has its own written report, so records stay tidy.

FAQs for Foreland Fields

Do you work overnight in Foreland Fields?

Yes, evening, overnight and weekend work is normal for us. That way a site in Foreland Fields does not have to lose a day’s trading. Just ring 0345 646 2711 or drop us a line with your opening times and we will plan around them.

Do you work in villages like Foreland Fields?

Yes, we work in villages as well as towns, and Foreland Fields is covered. Just mention lanes, gates or anything else about the site when you book.

How long will the sinks be out of use?

As a guide, it takes an hour or two in most kitchens, depending on the size and condition of the trap. A large or very full trap takes longer and we’ll say so when we quote.

How much does grease trap cleaning cost?

Trap size, type, condition and access all affect the price. Tell us about the trap and we’ll give you a fixed quote.

What types of premises do you cover?

All kinds of commercial and public premises: from restaurants, pubs and hotels to schools, hospitals, care homes, offices, shops and food production sites. We fit the work around how the site operates.

How much notice do you need?

Earlier is better, especially for out-of-hours work. Quotes normally come back within one working day, and emergencies are covered by our 24/7 line.

Can you clear our blocked drains as well?

We clean the trap, not the drain network. Where the problem is further down the drain, we’ll say so so you can call a drainage contractor.

What accreditations do you have?

CHAS, SafeContractor, ISO 9001 and BESCA Vent Hygiene Elite membership, cleaning to BESA TR19® Grease. We’ve been trading since 2009 and we’re fully insured.
