Ductwork cleaning for kitchens and businesses in Small Dole
We have been trading since 2009, working across London and the South East. As a BESCA Vent Hygiene Elite member, our duct cleaning is done to BESA TR19® Grease, with each certificate issued through the BESCA portal. Typical jobs include ductwork that has never been cleaned and smells of old cooking grease from the ductwork, on access panels, horizontal duct runs and multi-storey ducts.
Somewhere as small as Small Dole, commercial kitchens are few: perhaps a pub, a school or care home kitchen, or a hall used for events. Each still has a canopy and duct that collect grease, whatever the size of the place.
Every visit ends with a written report and pictures, so you have a record of what was done and when. Where the work is a TR19® Grease clean, the certificate is issued through the BESCA Vent Hygiene Elite portal.

Small Dole: your questions answered
Which fire and rescue service is responsible for Small Dole?
Fire safety enforcement in Small Dole is handled by West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service. Records of extract cleaning are a sensible thing to have ready if a fire safety officer carries out an audit.
Do you work in villages like Small Dole?
Yes, smaller places are covered as well as towns. The journey is planned ahead, so a few details about the route help.
How often does extract ductwork need cleaning?
It depends mostly on daily cooking hours. Kitchens cooking 12 to 16 hours a day need it at least every 3 months, while lighter use can go longer.
What happens to the waste?
It’s contained and taken away. Grease, debris and waste water are collected as the work goes on rather than letting it spread.
Do you have a 24/7 line?
Yes. There’s a 24/7 emergency line, for problems that can’t wait. Call us any time and explain what’s happened.
Can we book visits on a schedule?
Yes, of course. Tell us what you have and how it’s used, and we will suggest a schedule and quote for it.
Which kinds of sites do you work on?
We work for restaurants, pubs, hotels, schools, colleges, hospitals, care homes, offices and shops, as well as food production and leisure sites.
How much notice do you need?
The more notice, the better, particularly for night and weekend visits. Quotes normally come back within one working day, and emergencies are covered by our 24/7 line.
How the job changes from site to site
Attenuators and discharge
The discharge is where the duct ends and air leaves the building. Grease can collect there and stain the area around it, so it’s cleaned as far as safe access allows.
Multi-storey and shared buildings
A fire in a duct in a shared building can affect far more than one kitchen, so the responsible person has more reason to keep it clean. Your certificate and report give building managers the record they need.
What we do, step by step
Our technicians bring everything the work needs, including protection sheets, the right tools and access kit. All we need from you is clear access and the right equipment switched off. The visit takes a few hours for a short run, longer for long runs and tall risers. Somewhere as small as Small Dole, the date and timings are agreed with you well before the day.
- We map the duct route and check where the access panels are.
- Grease readings are taken at set points along the duct.
- Through the access panels, thick grease is removed by hand first.
- Next the ducts and risers are degreased, using whatever suits the deposit.
- We test again, take photos and note any part that couldn’t be reached.
Before we arrive
- Tell us where we can park and unload
- Let us know when the site is closed or quiet
- Tell us about site rules, permits or sign-in
Ask for a quote
To get a fixed quote, ring 0345 646 2711, or email photos with the site type, your trading hours and a short description of the system. Photos and the last report, if you have one, make the quote quicker. You will normally have a quote within one working day.

Managing agents and facilities teams in Small Dole
Under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, the responsible person must assess and reduce fire risk, which may be the employer, owner, landlord, FM or managing agent. With shared responsibility, good records help everyone.
Running several sites is easier with one contractor. We cover South East England and London, so visits at different addresses can be planned together and kept on a regular cycle.
What affects the cost of ductwork cleaning
There’s no set price list, because no two systems are the same. What we look at:
- The condition we find in the survey
- Travel, parking and unloading
- When the work can happen, such as evenings, overnight or weekends
- Any permits to work or inductions
You will not find a price list here, because each job is priced on what it involves. For a fixed quote, call 0345 646 2711, or email photos, and we’ll talk you through it.
Asking for a quote
When you contact us, these details help:
- The roof, plant room or outside wall the system runs to
- Wide photos of the system and the area around it
- Any previous report or certificate
- Your opening hours and when the area is out of use
Photos are the quickest way to a quote: wide shots of the system, close-ups of anything that worries you and how we’d get to it. Add the site type and your opening hours, and we can price many jobs without a visit.
Why act early in Small Dole
Grease left in a duct in Small Dole hardens over time. Heat and age turn it into a thick, stubborn crust, so the later the clean, the bigger the job. If the system at a site near Small Dole fails, there may be nowhere nearby to move to.
Whatever the type of site, the quote works the same way: how much there is, how we reach it, what state it’s in and when we can work. Ask for a fixed quote and we will explain each part.

Keeping the system healthy
Looking after the system between visits is straightforward, and it makes the next visit easier:
- Report any grease dripping from duct joints
- Don’t block access panels with shelving or stock
- Keep to the interval on the report
- Ask for a grease thickness test if the kitchen gets busier
File the paperwork in the maintenance log. It’s the evidence an insurer or inspector may ask for, and the pictures make the duct’s condition easy to see.
Run the extract the whole time the kitchen is cooking. When the air stops, grease settles in the duct, so switching off early adds to the build-up.
Honest limits
Before booking, it helps to know what’s not included:
- Sections that can’t be reached safely without new access (those are recorded, and panels can be fitted)
- Faulty fire dampers
- A duct that’s too small or badly routed for the kitchen (a design issue)
Not sure which it is? You can call us on 0345 646 2711, or send details by email and we’ll tell you honestly.
