AHU cleaning for kitchens and businesses in Walderton
Coils are where a lot of the dirt ends up. Dirt on the fins holds back air and makes the unit work harder to do the same job. We clean coils with methods suited to their condition, taking care not to damage the fins. If you have air handling units due a clean after building work and filters that are clogged or overdue, we can help.
Rural buildings with mechanical ventilation, such as care homes and country hotels, often keep their units in roof spaces or outbuildings, where filters and drain trays get forgotten.
We have been trading since 2009, as a BESCA Vent Hygiene Elite member, cleaning to BESA TR19® Grease. CHAS, SafeContractor and ISO 9001 are in place too, and we carry full insurance.

Multi-site and managed buildings
Landlords, managing agents and facilities managers book us, not only the businesses that use the systems. Shared systems, like a riser serving several units, need a clear agreement on who books the work, and we’re happy to quote for all of it.
Under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, the responsible person must assess and reduce fire risk, which may be the employer, owner, landlord, FM or managing agent. With shared responsibility, good records help everyone.
Why act early in Walderton
Dirty coils and fans make the unit strain to move the same air. The result is extra wear and a building that doesn’t feel as comfortable, and a clean on your terms beats a breakdown on nobody’s. It’s worth booking a check, because nobody sees inside a duct day to day.
We don’t list prices on the website, because each job is priced on what it involves. For a fixed quote, call 0345 646 2711 or drop us a line, and we will talk you through it.

When it’s something else
We’d rather tell you now than book work that won’t help, so here are the limits:
- The supply and extract ducts, quoted separately
- Coils that are corroded or leaking and need replacing
- Controls and BMS settings that run the unit
If in doubt, phone us on 0345 646 2711, or send details by email and we’ll say what we think before you book.
What the work covers
- Supply and extract fans
- Heating and cooling coils
- Drain trays
- Internal panels
- Filter sections
- Dampers and louvres
What we do, step by step
The visit has three parts: getting the area ready, doing the work and signing it off. Set-up means sheeting and making equipment safe, while signing off means the written report and pictures. The middle part takes longest, which takes half a day to a full day per unit, with large plant planned over several shifts. Photos of the system and how to reach it help us plan a visit to Walderton.
- First we agree when the unit can be switched off, including evenings or weekends.
- Before cleaning, each section is photographed.
- Filters, coils and internal surfaces are cleaned from intake to discharge.
- We finish with the fan section and the drain tray.
- After pictures are taken and the certificate issued.
Getting ready for the visit
- Mention any parking or loading restrictions
- Allow time for equipment near the work to be turned off and cool down
- Let us know how we reach the system, including roofs, risers and plant rooms
Get a fixed quote
We don’t publish a price list, because no two systems are the same. We look at your system first, from pictures or on a visit, and then give you a fixed quote. To get going, give us a ring on 0345 646 2711 or send us an email.
Advice
What staff can safely do
For ventilation and air handling systems, in-house care is mostly about checks: clear grilles, a log of filter changes and reporting anything odd. Cleaning inside ducts and units is specialist work.
In-house cleaning and specialist cleaning do different jobs. Wiping filters daily and washing them weekly keeps the visible parts in order, but grease that has passed the filters is out of reach. That part needs specialist access and equipment.
Fixed quotes for AHU cleaning in Walderton
The survey tells us what the work involves. We look at:
- The condition of the system
- Site requirements such as sign-in and permits
- Working hours and out-of-hours timing
- The size of the system
No two sites are the same, so each one gets its own fixed quote. The size of the job, how we reach it, its condition and the working hours all make a difference.
What to send for a quote
You do not need the technical terms. Just send:
- The paperwork from the last visit, if you have it
- The roof, plant room or outside wall the system runs to
- Detail shots of panels, filters and grilles
- When the site is open and when it’s quiet
Photos are the quickest way to a quote: wide shots of the system, close-ups of anything that worries you and how we’d get to it. Tell us what kind of site it is and when it’s open, and many jobs can be priced from that alone.

Walderton: your questions answered
Is AHU cleaning available in Walderton?
Yes. We work across London and the South East, and Walderton is part of that. A fixed quote usually follows within one working day of the survey details.
Will you come out to Walderton?
Yes, Walderton is part of our area, however small the site. Just mention lanes, gates or anything else about the site when you book.
Will we get paperwork for the AHU clean?
Yes, a TR19® certificate and a photo report. The report also suggests when the unit should next be inspected.
What happens to the waste?
Waste is contained during the work and removed when we leave, from grease and debris to used cleaning water. We don’t leave it behind.
How long does it take to clean an air handling unit?
Expect it to take half a day to a full day per unit, with large plant planned over several shifts. Size, layout and how dirty it is decide the rest, and we will confirm the time when we quote.
Do you have a 24/7 line?
Yes. There’s a 24/7 emergency line for anything that cannot wait until a planned visit. Ring any time and tell us what’s happened.
Do you do ventilation duct cleaning too?
Yes, the ductwork, grilles and diffusers the unit serves. The survey shows whether the ducts need cleaning now.
Can we book visits on a schedule?
Yes. Plans on a 3, 6 or 12-monthly cycle are available, depending on what the system needs.

Rooftop and plant room units
Ceiling-mounted and compact units are cleaned too. The space underneath is protected with sheeting first.
Heating and cooling coils
Dirt on a coil slows the air and makes it harder for the coil to heat or cool. A clean gets air moving through the coil properly again.
