AHU cleaning in Oving

AHU cleaning in Oving

Every supply and extract system relies on the air handling unit at its centre: it draws air in, filters it, heats or cools it and pushes it round the ductwork. Anything that collects inside the unit can end up in the rooms it serves, which is why we clean the unit itself, not just the ducts. If you have debris and leaves in the fresh air intake and dust-coated heating and cooling coils, we can put it right.

In rural areas, ventilation units are often in roof voids or outbuildings, which makes them easy to overlook.

Every visit ends with a written report and pictures, so you have a record of what was done and when. Where the work is a TR19® Grease clean, the certificate is issued through the BESCA Vent Hygiene Elite portal.

FAQs for Oving

Can you work in Oving outside opening hours?

Yes. We work evenings, overnight and at weekends. The site is handed back ready to open. Just give us a ring on 0345 646 2711, or send details by email with your opening times and we will plan around them.

Do you clean school ventilation in Oving in the holidays?

Yes. Half-terms and the summer break are the natural time for school work. There are about 3 schools, colleges and universities on the FSA’s food hygiene register within about 1.5 miles of Oving. Just give us a ring on 0345 646 2711 or drop us a line with your term dates and we’ll plan around them.

Can you set up regular visits?

Yes, of course. Send details of the systems and how they’re used and we will propose a schedule with a fixed quote.

Are you accredited?

We’re a BESCA Vent Hygiene Elite member, cleaning to BESA TR19® Grease. We also hold CHAS, SafeContractor and ISO 9001, and we carry full insurance.

Will you repair the fan or motor?

We clean the unit and flag faults rather than repair them, with the details in the report.

Which kinds of sites do you work on?

Any commercial site with kitchens or ventilation, from a single café to a large school. Hotels, schools, care homes, offices, shops and leisure sites are all part of our work.

How long will the unit be out of action?

Cleaning takes from a few hours for a compact unit to a day or more for a large one. Large plant can be split over several shifts, so phone us on 0345 646 2711 or drop us a line to talk it through.

Can you look after several sites?

Yes. Tell us the addresses and what each needs and you will get one fixed quote.

Ventilation in Oving buildings

Food Standards Agency data includes about 3 schools, colleges and universities within roughly a mile and a half of the centre of Oving. Classrooms, bedrooms and care spaces are often served by ducted air, and that ductwork collects dust over time. About 4.8 miles south of Oving is Royal Buckinghamshire Hospital, the nearest hospital. Hospitals show how much a building can rely on its ventilation, and smaller healthcare sites rely on theirs too. We cover Oving, about 42 miles from central London, as part of our work across London and the South East. The visit is fixed around your opening hours, not ours.

For schools like Whitchurch Combined School, the holidays are the usual time to inspect and clean ventilation. Healthcare ventilation, from large hospitals like Royal Buckinghamshire Hospital (about 4.8 miles south) to small clinics, depends on clean filters, coils and ducts.

Looking after it afterwards

After the visit, a few habits help the work last:

  • Keep filter changes on time and recorded
  • Check the drain tray is emptying during routine visits
  • Keep the area around the fresh air intake clear
  • Note any water around the unit or leaks below it

The report shows each section of the unit before and after, along with anything we couldn’t reach. It also notes faults we spotted, such as damaged panels or a blocked drain.

Change or clean filters on time. Once filters clog, dirt starts getting past them.

Staff cleaning versus specialist work

In-house cleaning and specialist cleaning do different jobs. A daily filter wipe and a weekly filter wash keep grease down at the front of the system, but they do not reach the grease that builds up further in. That part needs specialist access and equipment.

Staff cleaning does not replace a specialist visit; it supports it. Clean filters and tidy surfaces slow the build-up, but hidden parts of the system still need specialist attention.

Fixed quotes for AHU cleaning in Oving

A fixed price needs a few facts first. We look at:

  • The times the site is available
  • The size of the system
  • Site requirements such as sign-in and permits
  • The condition we find in the survey

Combining work into one visit or one programme can make for a more efficient booking. Tell us about everything you’d like looked at and we’ll price it together.

Asking for a quote

There’s no need for technical detail. It helps if you can send:

  • Detail shots of panels, filters and grilles
  • A few general shots of the system
  • When the site is open and when it’s quiet
  • Where the site is and what kind of site it is

Need a price for AHU cleaning? Please call 0345 646 2711 or drop us a line and tell us about the site. We will explain what we’d do and send a fixed quote before anything is booked.

For landlords and multi-site operators

Where a tenant occupies the premises but the landlord owns the building, it’s worth checking the lease for who maintains the systems. We can quote either party and send the paperwork to whoever needs it.

For anyone managing more than one site, we can plan visits across the whole estate and price them together. Each site gets its own report and pictures, so records stay tidy.

When something else is needed

AHU cleaning can’t fix everything, and we’d rather say so up front. It will not put right:

  • Ductwork downstream of the unit, which is a separate clean
  • Controls and BMS settings that run the unit
  • Leaking heating or cooling coils

If in doubt, ring 0345 646 2711 or email us and we’ll say what we think before booking.

Where we work

  • Drain trays
  • Heating and cooling coils
  • Filter sections
  • Supply and extract fans

How the visit works

We turn up at the time agreed with you, which is often after service, overnight or at a weekend. Equipment that has to be off is switched off and allowed to cool before any work starts, and floors and nearby surfaces are sheeted. On site, it takes half a day to a full day per unit, with large plant planned over several shifts. Rural roads and tight entrances are worth telling us about before a visit to Oving.

  1. The survey covers the unit, its access and how it can be shut down.
  2. We sheet the area and the unit is isolated.
  3. Dirt and debris are removed from each section.
  4. We clean the coils and clear the tray and drain.
  5. We close every panel, hand the unit back and send the report and certificate.

Before we arrive

  • Tell us the best time to work, such as after service or at a weekend
  • Move anything stored near the system
  • Have your last certificate or report to hand

Getting a quote

We don’t publish a price list, because no two systems are the same. We look at your system first, from pictures or on a visit, then send a fixed quote. To get going, call 0345 646 2711 or send us an email.
