Clewer AHU cleaning
Specialist AHU cleaning for Clewer: a survey, a fixed price, careful work and proper paperwork. Ask us for a fixed quote.
- Dirty filters cutting the airflow
- Plant that needs cleaning after a refit
- Units that have only ever had filter changes
What happens if it’s left?
Cleaning a unit while it only has light dust is quick. Leave it for years and dirt bakes onto coils and casings, particularly where damp has made it stick. Systems on quieter sites still build up dirt and wear, just more slowly.
When the work has to happen, how we reach it and how big the site is all affect the cost. We take each of them into account and give you a fixed price before any work starts.
What you get with us
- Evenings, overnight and weekends, plus 24/7 emergency callout
- Each visit written up, with photos
- One contact for all your sites in London and the South East
- In business since 2009

AHU cleaning for kitchens and businesses in Clewer
All the building’s air passes through the fan, so dirt on the impeller and housing gets spread around. We clean the fan section along with the rest of the unit, once the unit has been shut down and isolated. We’re often asked to deal with dirty coils holding back the airflow and dirty fans and fan housings, on filter sections, heating and cooling coils and drain trays.
For a building near Clewer, the visit is planned around how it’s used, and the journey is planned ahead. The work is the same as in any town: inspect, clean, record.
The paperwork matters as much as the work. Each visit is written up with photos, covering the work done, any areas we couldn’t access and a recommended next date. File it in your maintenance log so it’s to hand when an insurer or inspector asks.

Clewer: your questions answered
Do you cover smaller places like Clewer?
Yes, smaller places are covered as well as towns. A survey first, from pictures or a visit, means we arrive with the right kit.
Do you work overnight in Clewer?
Yes, we can come after you close and finish before you open. The site is handed back ready to open. Let us know the hours you are closed and we’ll book within them.
What do you do to protect the area?
By covering it before any work starts. We keep the work contained and clean down when we finish.
What’s included in an AHU clean?
All the internal parts the air touches, from the intake and filters through the coils and fan to the outlet. The photo report shows each section before and after.
What happens to the waste?
We take it away at the end of the visit. While we work, it’s kept contained so the area stays clean.
What about areas you cannot get to?
The report shows them clearly. Often the fix is extra access, such as new panels in ductwork, and we can fit those.
Do you need to switch the unit off?
Yes, while the clean is under way. Out-of-hours work is available to keep disruption down.
Do you do ventilation duct cleaning too?
Yes. We clean supply and extract ductwork to TR19® Air as well. Cleaning the unit and ducts together often makes sense, and we can quote for both.
What happens on the day
Everything the job needs comes with us, including protection sheets, the right tools and access kit. You only need to give us clear access and switch off what needs to be off. On site, the work takes anything from half a day for one small unit to several shifts for a plant room full of them. In a place like Clewer, we fit the visit around your hours.
- We agree a shutdown window that suits the building.
- We take before photos of each section of the unit.
- Filters, coils and internal surfaces are cleaned from intake to discharge.
- The fan and drain tray are cleaned and the drain checked.
- We take after photos and issue the certificate and report.
Before we arrive
- Agree a time when the area can be out of use
- Clear loose items from the work area
- Have your last certificate or report to hand

Advice
Keeping the system healthy
Good habits slow the build-up between visits. A few tips:
- Plan the next inspection before the last report gets filed away
- Make sure condensate is draining away
- Flag stale or damp smells in the supply air
- Make sure the unit’s access doors open easily
Once the clean is done, we send a TR19® certificate and a report with before and after photos. Keep both with the building’s maintenance records.
Keep the unit’s doors and panels in working order. Sections that are awkward to open are the ones that get skipped.
When something else is needed
A few issues sit outside what this work can do:
- Ventilation that was badly designed in the first place
- Mechanical faults with motors, belts or bearings
- Building management system faults
If in doubt, call us on 0345 646 2711 or use the quote form and we will say what we think.
Parts of the system we cover

What your team can do, and what needs us
In-house cleaning and specialist cleaning do different jobs. A daily filter wipe and a weekly filter wash keep grease down at the front of the system, but they do not reach the grease that builds up further in. Reaching it takes a specialist with the right equipment.
Day-to-day cleaning is something your team can do: wiping down canopy surfaces, cleaning filters and keeping a simple log. What they can’t safely do is clean inside the ductwork, the fan or the risers, which is where we come in.
How we price AHU cleaning
The price is fixed before any work begins. It’s based on:
- When the work can happen, such as evenings, overnight or weekends
- Any permits to work or inductions
- The scale of the work
- The condition we find in the survey
Whatever the type of site, the quote works the same way: the size of the job, access, condition and working hours. Ask for a fixed quote and we will go through it with you.
What to send for a quote
A few details help us quote accurately. When you get in touch, it helps to send:
- When the site is open and when it’s quiet
- Anything you’ve noticed, such as smells, noise, drips or poor airflow
- A few general shots of the system
- Close-ups of filters, grilles, hatches or access panels
Here’s what helps us quote: the address, the type of site and when it’s open, pictures of the system and any previous report or certificate. Then call us on 0345 646 2711, or email photos.

Different parts, different methods
Fans and fan sections
Before the fan is touched, the unit is shut down and made safe with your site team.
Heating and cooling coils
A dirty coil holds back the air and makes heating and cooling less effective. A clean gets air moving through the coil properly again.
