Ventilation duct cleaning near Paddock

Do you need ventilation duct cleaning in Paddock?

Even good filters let some dust through, so fine dust settles in supply ductwork over the years. Extract ducts pick up dust, fibres and fluff from the rooms they serve.

Common reasons sites call us include:

  • Supply ducts with years of dust inside
  • Systems missing access panels
  • Extract ducts clogged with lint and dust
  • Rooms that feel airless when the system runs

Hospitals such as William Harvey Hospital (about 5.8 miles south-east) show how much a building can rely on clean ventilation, and smaller healthcare sites near Paddock are no different.

What your quote should include

  • Whether the quote is based on a survey or pictures
  • Whether they’re fully insured
  • When the next visit should be, and why
  • Which accreditations they hold, and whether you can check them

About our ventilation duct cleaning in Paddock

Toilet, washroom and general extract ducts gather dust, fluff and debris. Supply ducts pick up whatever gets past the filters. Both are cleaned, with the area protected and the mess contained. Typical jobs include stuffy rooms and stale air and ventilation full of debris from building work, on supply ductwork, grilles and diffusers and general extract ductwork.

Work in a small place like Paddock starts with agreeing access and timings, and the ventilation is inspected, cleaned and recorded the same as anywhere.

It’s worth checking any contractor’s accreditations. Ours are BESCA Vent Hygiene Elite membership, cleaning to BESA TR19® Grease, plus CHAS, SafeContractor and ISO 9001, and we’re fully insured.

Honest limits

Not every problem is solved by ventilation duct cleaning, and we’d rather say so up front. It doesn’t solve:

  • A system that isn’t designed to move enough air
  • Controls and BMS faults that affect the system
  • Damp or mould problems coming from the building fabric

If in doubt, give us a ring on 0345 646 2711, or send details by email and we’ll say what we think before booking.

What the work covers

  • Toilet extract systems
  • Hospitals and care homes
  • General extract ductwork
  • Offices and schools
  • Grilles and diffusers
  • Supply ductwork

How we price ventilation duct cleaning

Sites vary more than people expect. The main factors:

  • Any permits to work or inductions
  • The scale of the work
  • The times the site is available
  • The condition of the system

Combining work into one visit or one programme often makes better use of the time. Mention every system or site you need covered and we will price it together.

Asking for a quote

To speed up the quote, send us:

  • The roof, plant room or outside wall the system runs to
  • The site address and the type of premises
  • The times we could work without disrupting the site
  • Any symptoms, from odd noises to smells or leaks

Quotes are quick. Send a few details and pictures, and we normally reply with a fixed quote within one working day. If we need to see the system first, we book a survey around your hours.

What the work involves, part by part

Supply ductwork

Dust in supply ducts can be blown straight into occupied rooms. Cleaning it deals with the source.

Schools and colleges

Schools and colleges are easiest to clean during the holidays, with nobody in the classrooms.

Between visits

After the visit, a few habits help the work last:

  • Don’t run the ventilation while builders are sanding or cutting
  • Store cleaning certificates where auditors can find them
  • Book the next inspection on the date the report recommends
  • Watch for water stains around grilles

The report includes a recommended date for the next inspection, in line with the risk-based approach of TR19® Air. Diary it straight away so it does not slip.

Deal with condensation and leaks near ducts promptly, as wet dust is much harder to clean.

How it works

There are three stages on the day: getting the area ready, doing the work and signing it off. Getting ready means protecting surfaces and switching off what needs to be off, while signing off means the written report and photos. The middle part takes longest, which takes a weekend for a modest system, with large buildings phased floor by floor. If you can send photos, we can arrive in Paddock knowing what to expect.

  1. First we check the layout and any past paperwork.
  2. Inspection points are chosen and the ducts examined.
  3. The work area is protected and the system switched off.
  4. We clean the system and remove the debris from site.
  5. We report on the work, listing any inaccessible sections and the next inspection date.

How to prepare

  • Arrange a key holder or contact on site
  • Tell us about access, such as roof hatches, plant rooms, ceilings or locked areas
  • Tell us where we can park and unload

Getting a quote

We do not publish a price list, because no two systems are the same. Instead, we look at your site first, from photos or a survey, then send a fixed quote. To get going, phone us on 0345 646 2711 or use the quote form.

Advice

Paddock buildings and their air

About 5.8 miles south-east of Paddock is William Harvey Hospital, the nearest hospital. Clean air matters most where people are unwell, and that’s as true in a care home as in a hospital. Paddock, about 45 miles from central London, is within our usual area. Evening, overnight and weekend visits are all possible.

Wherever a school like Challock Primary School has ducted ventilation, a half-term visit keeps the work out of lesson time.

Paddock is about 5 miles north of Ashford, in Kent. Anywhere in TN25, we can carry out ventilation duct cleaning at your premises. Across Kent, we cover 922 places, Paddock among them. We also work in Maidstone, around 15 miles away.

Work in TN25 is surveyed, quoted and booked the same way as anywhere else. Whether your site is on Canterbury Road and Green Lane or a nearby road, our technicians can take on the work. Paddock questions

Do you work overnight in Paddock?

Yes, we can come after you close and finish before you open. It means the site in Paddock keeps running as normal. Tell us your opening hours when you ask for a quote.

Is Paddock in your area for ventilation duct cleaning?

Yes. Our area runs across London and the South East, Paddock included. Get in touch with the details and we will arrange a survey.

What do you do with what you remove?

Anything we remove is contained as we work and taken away with us, including grease, debris and dirty water. We don’t leave it behind.

What information do you need?

Some pictures and a quick description of the system plus the address and your hours. If we need more, we’ll ask.

Is there a survey before the work?

Yes. We always survey first, either from photos and details you send or on a site visit. Then you get a fixed quote.

Which kinds of sites do you work on?

All kinds of commercial and public premises: from restaurants, pubs and hotels to schools, hospitals, care homes, offices, shops and food production sites. Work is timed around how each site runs.

Can we book visits on a schedule?

Yes. Regular plans can run on 3, 6 or 12-monthly cycles, depending on what the system needs.

What is TR19?

TR19® is BESA’s specification for ventilation hygiene. TR19® Grease, a standalone specification since 2019, covers grease in kitchen extract systems, while TR19® Air covers other supply and extract ductwork.

What staff can safely do

Staff cleaning does not replace a specialist visit; it supports it. Regular in-house cleaning slows the build-up, but hidden parts of the system still need specialist attention.

Day-to-day cleaning is something your team can do: wiping canopies, washing grease filters and recording it in a log. Inside the ducts, risers and fan is specialist work, which is where we come in.
