Need ventilation duct cleaning in Frostlane?

Why it’s worth doing now in Frostlane

After building work, cleaning the ventilation before people move back in makes sense. Otherwise the dust from the works comes out of the grilles once it’s switched back on. It’s simpler to plan the work at Frostlane now than to arrange it in a hurry later.

Leaving it longer rarely makes the work cheaper. Build-up, wear and faults tend to get worse, not better, which can make the next visit longer. If you are unsure, give us a ring on 0345 646 2711 or use the quote form and we’ll give you an honest view and a fixed quote.

What you get with us

  • One number for every site across the South East and London
  • Survey first, then a fixed quote
  • Evenings, overnight and weekends, plus 24/7 emergency callout
  • Trading since 2009

See our cost guide or our accreditations and certificates.

Ventilation duct cleaning in Frostlane, done properly

Everyone in the building breathes the air the ventilation brings in. Clean ducts are part of a healthy building, alongside filter changes and AHU maintenance. If you are dealing with dusty supply ductwork that hasn’t been cleaned in years and damp or stale smells from grilles, we can put it right.

In rural areas, ventilation units are often in roof voids or outbuildings, where filters and drain trays get forgotten.

The sign-off is always in writing: a written report, dated and illustrated with pictures, plus a certificate through the BESCA Vent Hygiene Elite portal when the work is a TR19® Grease clean. Any parts we couldn’t reach are recorded on it too.

The process

Night work is normal for us. Evenings, nights and weekends are when much of our work happens, so the site can open as normal afterwards. The visit itself takes a day or less for a small system and a series of visits for a large one. If you can send photos, we can arrive in Frostlane knowing what to expect.

  1. We agree timings that suit the building, including evenings and weekends.
  2. We open the ductwork through its access panels.
  3. Before photos are taken and the ducts cleaned section by section.
  4. We clean the grilles and diffusers and put them back.
  5. After photos are taken and the certificate and report issued.

Before we arrive

  • Arrange a key holder or contact on site
  • Clear the space around the work
  • Let us know when the site is closed or quiet

Getting a quote

Some systems can be priced from pictures; others need a survey. Larger sites, and anything hidden behind walls, ceilings or floors, are normally surveyed first. Either way, you get a fixed price before work begins.

Questions from Frostlane

Can ventilation in schools around Frostlane be cleaned out of term?

Yes, holiday work suits schools best. With about 6 schools and colleges on the FSA’s register within roughly a mile and a half of Frostlane, it pays to plan holiday dates ahead. Send us your term dates when you call 0345 646 2711 or drop us a line, and we’ll fit the work in.

Can you get to a site in Frostlane?

Yes, Frostlane is part of our area, however small the site. A survey first, from photos or a visit, means we arrive with the right kit.

When should our ventilation next be cleaned?

TR19® Air is risk-based, so cleaning follows inspection rather than a fixed calendar. We suggest a next inspection date after each visit.

Which accreditations do you hold?

We are a BESCA Vent Hygiene Elite member, cleaning to BESA TR19® Grease. We also hold CHAS, SafeContractor and ISO 9001, and we carry full insurance.

Do you offer maintenance contracts?

Yes. Plans on a 3, 6 or 12-monthly cycle are available, depending on what the system needs.

Where does the waste go?

It leaves the site with us when we go. While we work, it’s kept contained to keep the area clean.

Do you have insurance?

Yes. We’re fully insured, and we can share the details when you need them.

Is there a survey before the work?

Yes. Photos often do the job, and larger or hidden systems get a visit.

Honest limits

Ventilation duct cleaning can’t fix everything, and we’d rather say so up front. It won’t put right:

  • Leaks from roofs, pipes or walls into the ductwork
  • Problems with how the system is controlled
  • Damaged ductwork beyond cleaning

If in doubt, call 0345 646 2711 or use the quote form and we will say what we think before booking.

Parts of the system we cover

  • General extract ductwork
  • Grilles and diffusers
  • Offices and schools
  • Supply ductwork
  • Hospitals and care homes
  • Toilet extract systems

Different parts, different methods

Grilles and diffusers

Where they come out, grilles are taken down and cleaned, then put back.

Hospitals and care homes

In care settings, keeping dust contained is a priority. We protect the work area and take everything away.

What staff can safely do

Staff cleaning does not replace a specialist visit; it supports it. Regular in-house cleaning slows the build-up, but hidden parts of the system still need specialist attention.

Keep a record of what your team does. A simple log of filter washes, wipe-downs and checks shows an inspector that the system is looked after between visits, alongside our reports.

Between visits

No system stays clean for ever, but care slows the build-up. A few tips:

  • Switch the ventilation off or cover grilles during dusty building work
  • Log every filter change
  • Keep the TR19 certificate and photo report in the maintenance log
  • Include grilles in the cleaning rota

If there’s building work planned, protect the ventilation. Switch it off or cover the grilles while dusty work goes on.

TR19® Air works through regular inspection. Scheduled inspections spot dust before it becomes a major job.

Landlords, agents and facilities managers

Where a tenant occupies the premises but the landlord owns the building, it’s worth checking the lease for who maintains the systems. We can quote either party, and the report can go to both.

Facilities teams in offices, schools and healthcare sites book us too across Hampshire. Larger estates can be phased building by building around the people who use them.
