Stocker's Head grease trap cleaning
Grease trap cleaning for Stocker's Head and the surrounding area: diagnosis first, then a fixed quote, the work and a report with photos. Ask us for a fixed quote.
- A small trap that fills too quickly
- An interceptor full of grease and solids
- Gurgling drains in the kitchen
What happens if it’s left?
Once the trap is full, grease heads for the drain. There it sets and narrows the pipe until water cannot get through. Cleaning the trap regularly is far easier than clearing a blocked drain. Equipment tucked in a roof space or outbuilding near Stocker's Head rarely gets looked at unless someone books it.
You will not find a price list here, because each job is priced on what it involves. Call for a fixed quote, and we’ll explain what it covers.

Grease trap cleaning for kitchens and businesses in Stocker's Head
A neglected grease trap stops doing its job. Further down the pipe, the grease cools and hardens, leading to slow drains, blockages and smells. A trap that is cleaned regularly keeps grease where it belongs. Common call-outs are for an interceptor full of grease and solids and an overdue grease trap, across under-sink grease traps, kitchen waste pipes and pot wash sinks.
In rural areas, a kitchen may drain to a private system rather than a public sewer, so keeping fat out with a working grease trap matters even more.
We’re CHAS and SafeContractor accredited, we hold ISO 9001 and we are fully insured. On top of that, we’re a BESCA Vent Hygiene Elite member, cleaning to BESA TR19® Grease, trading since 2009.

For landlords and multi-site operators
Facilities teams in offices, schools and healthcare sites book us too in Stocker's Head and across Kent. Larger estates can be phased building by building to keep disruption down.
We work for landlords, managing agents and facilities managers as well as the people running the site. Where a system serves more than one tenant, such as a shared riser, it helps to agree who arranges the work, and we are happy to quote for all of it.
Commercial kitchens in Stocker's Head
The FSA’s food hygiene register includes about 3 pubs, bars and clubs within roughly a mile and a half of the centre of Stocker's Head. Any of them serving food has a kitchen that collects grease out of sight and drains that need protecting. Food hygiene inspections in Stocker's Head are the job of Ashford council’s environmental health team. Walls, floors, ceilings and equipment are all part of what they look at. Having the dates of the last deep clean to hand saves digging for them on the day.
If you look after a hall kitchen near Church of St Peter and St Paul or anywhere in Stocker's Head, a deep clean between busy seasons is easier than a scramble before a big event. If you run event catering at a historic house or estate in the area (Belmont House and Gardens is about 3.9 miles north), a deep clean before or after the busy season is worth planning. For schools such as Charing Church of England Primary School, deep cleans and grease trap work are usually booked for the holidays.

Stocker's Head questions
Which environmental health team covers Stocker's Head?
The local authority for Stocker's Head is Ashford council, and its environmental health team does the inspecting. Photos from a deep clean are a simple record of what was done and when.
Do you work in school kitchens around Stocker's Head out of term?
Yes, and it’s the easiest time to do it. Food Standards Agency records list about 2 schools, colleges and universities with registered kitchens within about a mile and a half of Stocker's Head. Booking early in the term gives the best choice of holiday dates.
What do you do with what you remove?
It’s contained and taken away. Grease, debris and waste water are collected as the work goes on rather than letting it spread.
Will I get paperwork for my records?
Yes, on every job. It’s a dated, written report with pictures, plus a certificate via the BESCA Vent Hygiene Elite portal for TR19® Grease cleans. File it with your fire safety records.
What types of premises do you cover?
All kinds of commercial and public premises: kitchens, offices, schools, healthcare, retail, leisure and food production. We fit the work around how the site operates.
What happens if you can’t reach some of it?
They’re listed in the report, never skipped quietly. You’ll know exactly which parts weren’t reached and why, and we can quote to improve the access.
Are you accredited?
CHAS, SafeContractor, ISO 9001 and BESCA Vent Hygiene Elite membership, cleaning to BESA TR19® Grease. We have been trading since 2009 and we are fully insured.
Do you deal with blocked drains beyond the grease trap?
A trap clean removes the grease in the trap and that may solve a slow drain caused by the trap. A blockage deeper in the drains needs a drainage specialist.
What your team can do, and what needs us
If your staff spot something between visits, such as dripping grease, a noisy fan, a smell or a filter that will not come clean, it’s best reported rather than tackled in-house. We’ll take a look and give you a fixed quote.
Your own staff can handle the daily basics: wiping canopies, washing grease filters and recording it in a log. Inside the ducts, risers and fan is specialist work, which is where we come in.
What affects the cost of grease trap cleaning
Before we fix a price, we need to know a few things. We look at:
- Whether we need access equipment or extra panels
- The size of the system
- Travel, parking and unloading
- When the work can happen, such as evenings, overnight or weekends
Putting the work off seldom saves money. Problems in a system tend to grow, and a neglected system can mean more work. If you are unsure, ring 0345 646 2711 or email us and we will give you an honest view and a fixed quote.
Helping us quote
Before you ask for a quote, gather:
- Wide photos of the system and the area around it
- Any access panels or hatches you can see
- Any symptoms, from odd noises to smells or leaks
- The paperwork from the last visit, if you have it
Photos are the quickest way to a quote: wide shots of the system, close-ups of anything that worries you and how we’d get to it. Tell us what kind of site it is and when it’s open, and many jobs can be priced from that alone.
What we do, step by step
When we arrive, we check the system against the survey or the photos you sent. Anything unexpected is raised with you before we go further. From there, it takes an hour or two in most kitchens, depending on the size and condition of the trap. If you can send photos, we can arrive in Stocker's Head knowing what to expect.
- We start by finding the trap and checking its inlet and outlet.
- Nothing drains into the trap while it’s open.
- We take out the layer of fat, oil and grease and any solids.
- Every part of the trap is scraped and cleaned, including the baffles.
- Once it’s refitted, water is run through to check it drains, and we take the waste with us.
Getting ready for the visit
- Tell us where we can park and unload
- Tell us the best time to work, such as after service or at a weekend
- Have your last certificate or report to hand
Get a fixed quote
Quoting starts with a diagnosis, from your pictures and details or, where that isn’t enough, a survey on site. After that, you get a fixed price for the work, before any work starts.
Related advice
Looking after it afterwards
Here’s the after-treatment advice, in brief:
- Fit sink strainers to catch food scraps
- Never pour used oil down the sink
- Scrape plates and pans into the bin before washing up
- Make sure the trap can be reached easily
We take the grease and solids away. Nothing is left for you to dispose of when we are done.
If the sinks are slow or smelly, the trap may be full. Acting at this stage normally prevents a blockage down the line.
Different parts, different methods
Inline grease traps
Inline traps may be under a floor panel or in a cupboard. We ask about access when we quote.
Baffles and outlets
Clean water leaves through the outlet. If it’s blocked or greasy, the trap backs up.
