Landlords, agents and facilities managers

For anyone managing more than one site, we can schedule visits across all of them on one quote. Each site gets its own report and photos, so records stay tidy.

We also work for facilities teams across offices, schools and healthcare across Greater London. Larger estates can be phased building by building to keep disruption down.

Grease filter exchange in Little Venice

Cleaning filters by hand takes staff time and is easy to put off. An exchange service means clean filters arrive and greasy ones leave, so the canopy is never left without filters. Typical jobs include grease dripping from the canopy and damaged filters letting grease past, across restaurants and pubs, baffle filters and wall canopies.

Kitchens in Little Venice, like many across London, can share a building with flats or offices, with the duct running up through shared risers. A duct fire there can reach parts of the building far from the range, which is why keeping it clean to TR19® matters.

For insurers and inspectors, the record counts. That’s why every job is written up in a report with pictures, plus a TR19® certificate through the BESCA VHE portal where the work is a TR19® Grease clean.

Do you need grease filter exchange in Little Venice?

Wherever you are, Little Venice included, filter washing is the job that gets skipped when the kitchen is busy. A missed wash or two is all it takes for filters to fill with grease.

The symptoms we are asked about most are:

  • Grease collecting in the filter channels
  • A canopy that drips grease
  • Filters that leave gaps in the canopy
  • Filters so greasy the air can barely pass

If you look after a school kitchen, at a school such as Ark Paddington Green Primary Academy or anywhere near Little Venice, the holidays are the usual time for a TR19® clean.

Questions to ask before booking

  • Whether the whole system is included, or only the parts that are easy to reach
  • Whether the figure could change on the day
  • Whether the quote shows VAT
  • Which accreditations they hold, and whether you can check them

Why deal with it now?

Grease dripping from the canopy is a sign the filters can’t hold any more. Drips land on surfaces and equipment below and that’s the kind of thing inspectors look for. Planning ahead in Little Venice lets you pick a quiet night rather than lose a busy one.

Combining work into one visit or one programme often makes better use of the time. Mention every system or site you need covered and we’ll price it together.

Why Little Venice businesses choose us

  • CHAS and SafeContractor accredited, with ISO 9001

What affects the quote in Little Venice

There’s no set price list, because no two systems are the same. What we look at:

  • Any permits to work or inductions
  • One-off work versus a regular cycle
  • Access, including roofs, risers and ceiling voids
  • The number of sites or systems

One small site or a whole estate, we price it on the same basis: the work involved, the access and the timing. The price is fixed before work begins.

Helping us quote

When you call or email, it’s useful to have:

  • Detail shots of panels, filters and grilles
  • The paperwork from the last visit, if you have it
  • Where the site is and what kind of site it is
  • The roof, plant room or outside wall the system runs to

To get a fixed quote, give us a ring on 0345 646 2711 or send us an email with the site type, your trading hours and a short description of the system. A few photos and your last certificate or report help a lot. We usually come back within one working day.

Grease filter exchange around Little Venice

The FSA’s food hygiene register shows about 1,443 cafés, restaurants and staff canteens and about 164 takeaways and sandwich shops across Little Venice and its immediate surroundings (about a mile and a half). Any of those kitchens with a canopy relies on its filters to catch grease before it reaches the duct. Kitchens in Little Venice get their food hygiene inspections from Westminster council. An officer looking round a kitchen will see the canopy, and grease there is hard to miss. A TR19® certificate and photo report after each clean gives you a record to show an inspector. London jobs normally start after the last service, with loading and roof access agreed with the building first.

If you cook for passing trade around London Paddington station, the extract can be cleaned between your last and first customer. If you run catering at a healthcare site, such as a hospital like Maida Vale Hospital for Nervous Diseases about within half a mile north, the extract may need cleaning more often than a part-time kitchen.

FAQs for Little Venice

Can the work in Little Venice be done at night or at weekends?

Yes, out-of-hours work is a big part of what we do. That way a site in Little Venice doesn’t have to lose a day’s trading. When you phone us on 0345 646 2711 or email us, mention when the site is quiet.

Can you clean school kitchen extracts in Little Venice during the holidays?

Yes, out-of-term visits are normal for schools. The FSA’s register shows about 101 schools and colleges with food registrations within roughly a mile and a half of Little Venice. Booking early in the term gives the best choice of holiday dates.

What’s the right interval for changing filters?

There’s no single answer. The schedule is based on how heavily you cook, and adjust it if needed.

Do you recommend a next date?

Yes. The recommended date is on the report. For kitchen extracts, BESA’s minimum intervals run from every 3 months for heavy use to every 12 months for light use, and fire dampers need testing at least once a year.

Do you survey before quoting?

Yes, always. Diagnosis comes before treatment: the survey tells us what the system needs and how to reach it and the fixed quote is built on it.

Are you accredited?

Our accreditations are CHAS, SafeContractor and ISO 9001, alongside BESCA Vent Hygiene Elite membership, cleaning to BESA TR19® Grease. Vent Hygiene Elite is run by BESCA and independently audited.

What does TR19 mean?

TR19® is the BESA specification for keeping ventilation systems clean. Since 2019, TR19® Grease has been a standalone specification for grease in kitchen extract systems, and TR19® Air covers general supply and extract systems.

Will I get paperwork for my records?

Yes, on every job. It’s a dated, written report with pictures, plus a certificate via the BESCA Vent Hygiene Elite portal for TR19® Grease cleans. Keep it in your maintenance log.

What the work involves, part by part

School, care home and staff kitchens

Visits can be planned around holidays and quieter periods so the filters are clean when cooking picks up.

Baffle filters

When baffles fill with grease, less air gets through. Swapping them for a clean set restores it.

What happens on the day

The visit has three parts: set-up, the treatment itself and the sign-off. Getting ready means protecting surfaces and switching off what needs to be off, while signing off means the written report and pictures. Most of the time goes on the work itself, which takes a few minutes per canopy, longer for a large kitchen with several canopies. If your building in Little Venice has sign-in rules, permits or key holders, mention them when you book.

  1. We look at the canopies and the condition of the filters.
  2. We note any filters that are bent, damaged or missing.
  3. Greasy filters are swapped for clean ones.
  4. We check the filters are seated and the canopy is ready to use.
  5. Anything that needs attention, such as a greasy plenum, is pointed out.

Preparing for the visit

  • Tell us about access, such as roof hatches, plant rooms, ceilings or locked areas
  • Name a contact who can let us in at the agreed time
  • Tell us where we can park and unload

Ask for a quote

We don’t publish a price list, because no two systems are the same. Instead, we look at your site first, from pictures or a survey, then send a fixed quote. To get going, call 0345 646 2711, or send details by email.

Advice

Honest limits

Not every problem is solved by grease filter exchange, and we’d rather say so up front. It does not solve:

  • An extract that was undersized from the start
  • A canopy that needs a proper clean
  • A noisy or failed extract fan

If you are not sure, just ring 0345 646 2711 or use the quote form and we’ll give you a straight answer before booking.
