Ventilation duct cleaning in Wycombe Marsh, done properly
Everyone in the building breathes the air the ventilation brings in. Keeping the ducts clean is a sensible part of looking after them, as much as clean filters and a well-kept AHU. We are often asked to deal with damp or stale smells from grilles and stuffy rooms and stale air, across hospitals and care homes, toilet extract systems and grilles and diffusers.
Somewhere as small as Wycombe Marsh, ducted ventilation is typically limited to a school, a care home, a surgery or a converted business building, wherever there is one, but where it’s fitted, it needs the same inspection and cleaning as anywhere.
Nothing is signed off by word of mouth: a dated report with photos of the work, plus a certificate through the BESCA Vent Hygiene Elite portal when the work is a TR19® Grease clean. Any parts we couldn’t reach are recorded on it too.

What we do, step by step
We work around your opening hours, not the other way round. Most visits are booked for when the area is out of use, such as evenings, overnight, early mornings or weekends. Once we’re in, the area is sheeted and anything that has to be off is turned off and cooled, and the work takes a day or less for a small system and a series of visits for a large one. Seeing the system in photos first means the trip to Wycombe Marsh can be planned properly.
- We agree timings that suit the building, including evenings and weekends.
- We open the ductwork through its access panels.
- Before photos are taken and the ducts cleaned section by section.
- Grilles and diffusers are cleaned and refitted.
- We take after photos and send the certificate and report.
Getting ready for the visit
- Tell us the best time to work, such as after service or at a weekend
- Mention any sign-in, permit or induction we need
- Let us know how we reach the system, including roofs, risers and plant rooms
Ask for a quote
Photos are the quickest way to a quote: the system from a couple of angles, plus any access panels or hatches. Tell us what kind of site it is and when it’s open, and we can price many jobs without a visit.

Wycombe Marsh questions
Is Wycombe Marsh within the area you cover?
Yes, smaller places are covered as well as towns. Photos of the system and directions to the site help us plan the visit.
Can you work in Wycombe Marsh outside opening hours?
Yes, we can come after you close and finish before you open. The site is handed back ready to open. Just ring 0345 646 2711, or email photos with your opening times and we will plan around them.
Is TR19 a legal requirement?
Not in itself. TR19® is the benchmark insurers, fire officers and EHOs check against, and many insurers ask for proof of cleaning to it. The legal duty sits in the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 in England and Wales.
Do you provide a report?
Yes. You get a certificate with the date, location and technician, plus a photo report.
What happens if you can’t reach some of it?
The report shows them clearly. Often the fix is extra access, such as new panels in ductwork, which we can install.
How do you deal with ducts you can’t get into?
The report shows exactly which parts weren’t reached. Access panels can be added where needed.
Can you price the work without visiting?
Normally, yes. Send wide shots, close-ups of any access panels and anything that worries you, and we usually come back within one working day. Some sites still need a visit, and we’ll say so.
How often should ventilation ductwork be cleaned?
Under TR19® Air, the answer comes from inspecting the ducts. Busy or sensitive buildings may need it more often.
What the work involves, part by part
Supply ductwork
We check supply ducts at intervals along each run before deciding what to clean.
Schools and colleges
Schools and colleges are easiest to clean during the holidays, when classrooms are empty.

Many buildings of this kind have supply and extract ductwork that gathers dust and needs inspecting. If you run a surgery, clinic or care home, your ventilation deserves the same care as a hospital’s, on a smaller scale. Wycombe Marsh, about 28 miles from central London, is within our usual area. A survey and a fixed quote come first, then the visit at a time that suits you.
Classrooms and halls at schools such as Marsh School are easiest to work in when pupils are away. Hospitals such as Hospital of St John the Baptist (about 1.2 miles north-west) show how much a building can rely on clean ventilation, and smaller healthcare sites near Wycombe Marsh are no different.

Managing agents and facilities teams in Wycombe Marsh
For anyone managing more than one site, we can plan visits across the whole estate and price them together. Each site gets its own report and photos, so records stay tidy.
When the building owner and the occupier are different, it’s worth checking the lease for who maintains the systems. We can quote either party, and the report can go to both.
In-house cleaning or a specialist?
For ventilation and air handling systems, in-house care is mostly about checks: keeping grilles clear, noting unusual noise or smells and logging filter changes. The inside of ducts and units needs a specialist.
When your team notices a problem between visits, like drips, unusual noise, smells or damaged filters, it’s best reported rather than tackled in-house. We will take a look and give you a fixed quote.

Why deal with it now?
Dust in ducts does not go away on its own. The longer it’s left, the more there is to remove, and the more gets blown back into the rooms. A fault that closes a site in a village like Wycombe Marsh affects everyone who depends on it.
Whatever the type of site, the quote works the same way: how much there is, how we reach it, what state it’s in and when we can work. Ask for a fixed quote and we will explain each part.

What affects the cost of ventilation duct cleaning
We do not publish a price list, because no two systems are the same. What we look at:
- The condition of the system
- The size of the system
- How easy every part is to reach
- A single visit or a regular plan
What you pay depends on how big the system is, the condition it’s in and how easy it is to reach. You get a fixed price before we start, so there are no surprises.
Helping us quote
Photos and a few facts are often enough to price the work. Useful things to send:
- Wide photos of the system and the area around it
- The postcode and the type of business
- Problems your staff have spotted
- Any access panels or hatches you can see
Quotes are quick. Send a few details and pictures, and we usually reply with a fixed quote within one working day. Where a survey is needed, we arrange a time that suits the site.
