Need TR19 inspection in Flackwell Heath?

TR19 inspection for kitchens and businesses in Flackwell Heath

A pre-clean survey looks at the whole system, from canopy to discharge. Access is checked along the full length, and record grease readings at set points. The work covers insurer audits, access surveys and pre-clean surveys, and the jobs we see most are post-clean verification after another contractor’s clean and kitchens taken over with no cleaning records.

For a smaller kitchen near Flackwell Heath, a TR19® clean is the same job as anywhere: canopy, filters, plenum, duct, fan and discharge. The visit is booked around your opening hours, and the journey is planned ahead.

Nothing is signed off by word of mouth: a written report, dated and illustrated with photos, and for TR19® Grease cleans, a certificate issued through the BESCA VHE portal. Any parts we couldn’t reach are recorded on it too.

What affects the cost of TR19 inspection

Sites vary more than people expect. What affects the quote:

  • Whether several sites go on one quote
  • The times the site is available
  • The condition we find in the survey
  • How easy every part is to reach

The cost depends on the size of the system, what state it’s in and access to every part of it. We give you a fixed price before we start, so there are no surprises.

Asking for a quote

Many jobs can be priced from pictures and some basics. Send what you can of the following:

  • The site address and the type of premises
  • Any access panels or hatches you can see
  • Where the plant sits or the system leaves the building, such as a roof or outside wall
  • Your opening hours and when the area is out of use

Photos are the quickest way to a quote: wide shots of the system, close-ups of anything that worries you and how we’d get to it. Tell us what kind of site it is and when it’s open, and we can price many jobs without a visit.

Questions from Flackwell Heath

Do you work at weekends in Flackwell Heath?

Yes, evening, overnight and weekend work is normal for us. The site is handed back ready to open. Just call 0345 646 2711 or use the quote form with your opening times and we will plan around them.

Can you get to a site in Flackwell Heath?

Yes. Flackwell Heath is within the area we cover across London and the South East. Let us know about access, parking and anything unusual about getting there when you book.

What do you do with what you remove?

Anything we remove is contained as we work and taken away with us, including grease, debris and dirty water. We don’t leave it behind.

What types of premises do you cover?

Restaurants and pubs, hotels, schools and colleges, hospitals and care homes, offices and retail, plus food production and leisure sites.

What do you do to protect the area?

We start with protection: sheeting over floors, worktops and anything close to the work. We tidy up and take our waste away before we leave.

What is post-clean verification?

A post-clean check records grease readings and pictures after the work, whoever did the clean.

What do the grease readings need to be?

Between cleans, the mean should stay at 200 microns or below, with 500 microns or more anywhere needing immediate spot cleaning.

How long does a TR19 inspection take?

As a guide, it takes around an hour or two per canopy and duct system. The size of the system and the access make the difference.

Different parts, different methods

Restaurants, pubs and hotels

BESA’s minimum for heavy use of 12 to 16 hours a day is a clean every 3 months, with testing showing whether more is needed.

Canopy and plenum

Filters can look fine while the plenum behind them is heavily coated. So we measure behind the filters, not just in front.

Do you need TR19 inspection in Flackwell Heath?

You cannot judge grease thickness by eye. Clean filters can hide a heavy layer behind them, which is why readings matter.

If you notice any of these, it’s worth a diagnosis:

  • Systems cleaned on a calendar with no measurements
  • Confirming a clean reached the whole system
  • Extracts that may be over the 200 micron mean
  • Cleaning intervals that may not suit the kitchen

If you run catering at a historic house or estate in the area (Cliveden is about 2.9 miles south), event kitchens in older buildings often have awkward duct runs that need planning.

Questions to ask before you book

  • If they look at the system before pricing
  • Proof of accreditation you can verify
  • Whether they recommend a next date
  • Exactly which parts of the system are covered

Our hiring checklist

Leave it or put it right?

If there’s a fire or a claim, your insurer may ask for TR19 records. Missing records can put a claim at risk. Getting an inspection done now starts that paper trail. A visit arranged in advance is far less disruptive than a callout on a busy day.

Working hours, access and the scale of the site can all change the price. Each of those is built into the quote and give you a fixed price before any work starts.

Why book with us

  • Full insurance on every job
  • One number for every site across the South East and London
  • A written report with pictures after each visit
  • Evenings, overnight and weekends, plus 24/7 emergency callout

See how cleaning jobs are priced or our accreditations.

The process

We start by comparing what we find with the survey or your pictures. If anything is different, we talk it through with the person on site before carrying on. After that, the work takes anything from an hour for a small canopy and short duct to a good part of a day for a large site. Evenings, weekends or a closed day all work for a site in a place like Flackwell Heath.

  1. We agree a time when the kitchen is closed or quiet.
  2. Every part of the system is examined, end to end.
  3. We take WFTT or DTT readings at set points along the system.
  4. We photograph the test points and record any sections we can’t reach.
  5. You get a report with readings, pictures and recommendations.

Before we arrive

  • Dig out any earlier paperwork for the system
  • Make sure equipment near the work can be switched off and left to cool
  • Let us know how we reach the system, including roofs, risers and plant rooms

Getting a quote

Photos are enough for some jobs, while others need a look on site. Larger sites, and anything hidden behind walls, ceilings or floors, are normally surveyed first. Either way, you get a fixed price before any work starts.

What TR19 inspection looks like in Flackwell Heath

According to Food Standards Agency records, there are about 21 pubs and bars within 1.5 miles or so of the middle of Flackwell Heath. Any of them serving cooked food has an extract to keep clean, from canopy to discharge. Flackwell Heath is covered by Buckinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service. Aftercare tips

Aftercare is simple, and it makes the next visit easier:

  • Wipe the canopy surfaces regularly
  • Send TR19 audit reports to your insurer on request
  • Flag oily drips near the extract
  • Mention new equipment or longer hours at the next test

Readings of 500 microns or more are highlighted as needing immediate spot cleaning, and we can arrange it.

Keep certificates, reports and readings in one place so the history is easy to show.

What staff can safely do

Day-to-day cleaning is something your team can do: wiping down canopy surfaces, cleaning filters and keeping a simple log. Inside the ducts, risers and fan is specialist work, which is where we come in.

Away from the kitchen, the in-house job is mainly checking: clear grilles, a log of filter changes and reporting anything odd. The inside of ducts and units needs a specialist.
