Kitchen extract cleaning in CT10

About kitchen extract cleaning in CT10

We’ve been trading since 2009, cleaning kitchen extracts across the South East and London. We’re a BESCA Vent Hygiene Elite member, cleaning to BESA TR19® Grease, and we hold CHAS, SafeContractor and ISO 9001 and are fully insured. We are often asked to deal with an inspection that picked up a dirty extract and an extract that has never been cleaned to TR19, across plenums and filters, discharge points and extract fans.

Night work is normal for us. A lot of visits happen overnight or at weekends, so the site can open as normal afterwards. On site, the work takes as long as the system needs, from a few hours to several planned visits.

  1. We start with a survey, so we know every part of the system before we quote.
  2. Grease readings are taken at set points and you get a fixed quote.
  3. With the kitchen closed and equipment off and cool, the area is sheeted.
  4. Canopy, plenum, filters, duct runs, risers, fan and discharge are all cleaned to TR19® Grease.
  5. Readings and photos are taken again, and you receive a TR19 certificate and photo report.

What you will pay

Leaving it longer rarely makes the work cheaper. Build-up, wear and faults tend to get worse, not better, which can make the next visit longer. If you’re unsure, give us a ring on 0345 646 2711 or send us an email and we’ll give you an honest view and a fixed quote.

Why businesses in CT10 choose us

  • Accredited under CHAS and SafeContractor, with ISO 9001
  • Fixed quotes, normally within one working day
  • Trading since 2009
  • Survey first, then a fixed quote

Ask for a quote

Some systems can be priced from photos; others need a survey. Larger sites, and anything hidden behind walls, ceilings or floors, are normally surveyed first. Either way, you get a fixed price before we start.

Near you in Broadstairs

In Broadstairs, that means kitchens and buildings near Parish Church of St Peter the Apostle, The Little Albion Inn and St Joseph's Catholic Primary School and the streets around them. Nearby too are The Charles Dickens School (under half a mile west) and The Charles Dickens School (under half a mile west). Broadstairs has its own railway station: Broadstairs station. A little further out are Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother Hospital (2 miles north-west) and Westwood Cross (1.5 miles west). Green spaces nearby include Sandwich and Pegwell Bay.

Kitchen extract cleaning across CT10: local notes

Across CT10, from Margate, Ramsgate and Broadstairs outwards, kitchens range from town-centre restaurants and takeaways to pubs, hotels, schools and care homes. Each extract is cleaned to the same TR19® standard, canopy to discharge.

Across London and the South East, we work evenings, overnight and weekends, so sites in CT10 can keep trading. CT10 includes coastal places, where salt in the air speeds up corrosion of roof-level equipment. We look for corrosion as well as dirt on coastal sites.

Broadstairs: A hall kitchen that only cooks for events, whether near Parish Church of St Peter the Apostle or elsewhere in Broadstairs, still needs its extract cleaned, just less often. For kitchens close to Broadstairs station, where the day often starts early and ends late, the extract can be cleaned overnight.

Signs you need kitchen extract cleaning

What’s on the menu matters as much as how much is cooked. Fryers, grills and open flames throw much more fat into the extract than gentler cooking, which is why grease readings matter more than the calendar.

Most sites get in touch when they notice one of these:

  • An inspection that picked up a dirty extract
  • Poor airflow at the canopy
  • Grease drips onto cooking equipment
  • Stale cooking odours from the system

Staff cleaning versus specialist work

Logging matters as much as cleaning. A dated log of in-house cleaning and checks shows an inspector that the system is looked after between visits, alongside our reports.

In-house cleaning and specialist cleaning do different jobs. Wiping filters daily and washing them weekly keeps the visible parts in order, but they don’t reach the grease that builds up further in. Reaching it takes a specialist with the right equipment.

Fixed quotes for kitchen extract cleaning in CT10

The price is fixed before any work begins. It’s based on:

  • Site requirements such as sign-in and permits
  • A single visit or a regular plan
  • The condition we find in the survey
  • When the work can happen, such as evenings, overnight or weekends

We don’t list prices on the website, because each job is priced on what it involves. Call for a fixed quote, and we will talk you through it.

Asking for a quote

Before you ask for a quote, gather:

  • Anything you’ve noticed, such as smells, noise, drips or poor airflow
  • The paperwork from the last visit, if you have it
  • Your opening hours and when the area is out of use
  • Any access panels or hatches you can see

Getting a quote doesn’t take long. Call or email with a few details and you will usually have a fixed price within one working day. If we need to see the system first, we book a survey around your hours.

When something else is needed

We’d rather tell you now than book work that won’t help, so these are the things it will not cover:

  • A fan motor or bearings that have failed (that needs a fan repair or replacement)
  • An undersized canopy or fan
  • Ductwork that’s corroded, split or leaking (that’s for a ductwork contractor)

What the work involves, part by part

Schools, hospitals and care homes

Some healthcare kitchens never fully close. We plan the clean around meal times and work in a contained, tidy way with as little disruption as possible.

Grease filters

Gaps around filters let fat through to the duct. We check they fit as they should when we refit them, and flag any that don’t.

Your questions about kitchen extract cleaning in CT10

How far ahead should we book?

The more notice, the better, especially for out-of-hours work. Quotes normally come back within one working day, and there’s a 24/7 line for emergencies.

Which sectors do you work in?

Commercial premises of every kind: kitchens, offices, schools, healthcare, retail, leisure and food production. Work is timed around how each site runs.

What does a TR19 kitchen extract clean include?

Everything from canopy to discharge: canopy inside and out, plenum, grease filters, ductwork, risers, extract fan and discharge, plus attenuators where fitted. Anything we can’t reach is recorded on the report.

What does TR19 mean?

It’s the industry benchmark for cleaning ventilation and kitchen extract systems, written by BESA. It sets out inspection, cleaning and record keeping and expects a risk-based approach.

Can you set up regular visits?

Yes, of course. Send details of the systems and how they’re used and we’ll propose a schedule with a fixed quote.
