Grease trap cleaning in Redenham

About our grease trap cleaning in Redenham

For kitchens across Redenham, grease trap cleaning fits easily around service. The trap is emptied, cleaned and checked, and the waste is taken away. It can be booked on its own or alongside other kitchen work. Typical jobs include a blocked kitchen drain caused by grease and a slow-draining kitchen sink, across inline grease traps, school and care home kitchens and restaurants and takeaways.

In a village or hamlet like Redenham, commercial kitchens are few, perhaps a pub, a school or a care home. Each still needs the occasional deep clean and its grease trap kept clear.

A written report with photos follows every visit, so there’s a dated record of the work. Kitchen extract cleaning to TR19® Grease is certificated through the BESCA Vent Hygiene Elite portal.

How the job changes from site to site

Inline grease traps

An inline trap sits in the pipework between the kitchen and the drain. They’re larger than under-sink traps but still need regular emptying.

Baffles and outlets

We check the inlet, outlet and baffles at each clean so the trap works as it should.

Why deal with it now?

For a kitchen in Redenham, a regular grease trap clean is a small, planned job. A blocked drain is an emergency and usually at the worst moment. It’s simpler to plan the work at Redenham now than to arrange it in a hurry later.

Every site is different, so we price each one individually. Size, access, the condition of the system and when we can work all make a difference.

What affects the quote in Redenham

Sites vary more than people expect. What affects the quote:

  • The times the site is available
  • How easy every part is to reach
  • Any permits to work or inductions
  • How many systems or sites are involved

The price reflects the work, not guesswork. That is why we survey first, from pictures or on site, and the price is agreed before work begins.

Helping us quote

You don’t need the technical terms. Just send:

  • Photos showing the whole system and its surroundings
  • The roof, plant room or outside wall the system runs to
  • When the site is open and when it’s quiet
  • Close-ups of filters, grilles, hatches or access panels

We don’t publish a price list, because every site is different. We look at your system first, from photos or on a visit, and then send you a fixed quote. To get going, call us on 0345 646 2711, or email photos.

When something else is needed

Before booking, it helps to know what’s not included:

  • Drains that are cracked or have collapsed
  • A trap undersized for the amount of cooking
  • Grease deep in the drains, which needs jetting by a drainage contractor

Not sure which it is? You can call us on 0345 646 2711 or email us and we’ll tell you honestly before booking.

Where we work

  • Inline grease traps
  • Under-sink grease traps
  • Pot wash sinks
  • Kitchen waste pipes
  • School and care home kitchens
  • Restaurants and takeaways

What we do, step by step

On the day, we arrive at the time agreed with you, often in the evening, overnight or at the weekend so the site keeps working. Anything that needs to be off for the work is switched off and left to cool before we start, and the area around the work is covered and protected. The work itself takes anything from under an hour to a few hours, depending on the trap. If you can send photos, we can arrive in Redenham knowing what to expect.

  1. We find the trap and check how it’s connected.
  2. The sinks feeding the trap are kept out of use while we work.
  3. We take out the layer of fat, oil and grease and any solids.
  4. The inside, baffles and pipe connections are cleaned.
  5. We put it back together, run water through and remove the waste.

Before we arrive

  • Tell us where we can park and unload
  • Agree a time when the area can be out of use
  • Let us know about permits to work or site inductions

Advice

Grease trap cleaning around Redenham

Food hygiene inspections in Redenham are the job of Test Valley council’s environmental health team. They look at the cleanliness of the whole kitchen: walls, floors, ceilings and equipment. Keeping a record of deep cleans and grease trap visits helps at inspection time.

If you run a church or community hall kitchen, near Church of St Peter in the Wood or elsewhere in Redenham, a deep clean and an emptied grease trap before a busy season of events are worth booking. Healthcare kitchens, like those at hospitals such as Andover War Memorial Hospital (about 3.8 miles south-east), cook for long hours, so deep cleans and grease trap work are planned around patients’ meals. For schools such as Appleshaw St Peter's CofE Primary School, deep cleans and grease trap work are normally booked for the holidays.

Redenham is about 4 miles north-west of Andover, in Hampshire. Whether your site is in the middle of Redenham or further out, grease trap cleaning is available to all kinds of commercial premises, from a single unit to a large public building. Redenham is one of 683 towns, villages and districts in Hampshire we cover for grease trap cleaning. We also work in Southampton, about 24 miles from Redenham.

Work in SP11 follows the same survey, fixed quote and written report as everywhere else we cover. A little further out are Ludgershall Castle (2.6 miles north-west) and Andover War Memorial Hospital (3.8 miles south-east). For a walk, there’s Quarley Hill and Anton Lakes.

Redenham questions

Who would carry out a food hygiene inspection at a kitchen in Redenham?

Kitchens in Redenham are inspected by Test Valley council’s environmental health officers. An officer may look behind equipment and at drains, so it pays to have the deep clean booked before those areas build up.

Will you come out to Redenham?

Yes, we work in villages as well as towns, and Redenham is covered. A survey first, from photos or a visit, means we arrive with the right kit.

Which sectors do you work in?

Restaurants and pubs, hotels, schools and colleges, hospitals and care homes, offices and retail, as well as food production and leisure sites.

Where does the waste go?

Anything we remove is contained as we work and taken away with us, from grease and debris to used cleaning water. None of it is left on site.

What happens if a grease trap isn’t cleaned?

Grease and food waste build up until the trap stops working. The result is slow drains, foul odours and eventually a blockage.

Do you have insurance?

Yes. We’re fully insured, and we can share the details when you need them.

What does TR19 mean?

TR19® is BESA’s specification for ventilation hygiene. Since 2019, TR19® Grease has been a standalone specification for grease in kitchen extract systems, while TR19® Air covers other supply and extract ductwork.

Which accreditations do you hold?

Our accreditations are CHAS, SafeContractor and ISO 9001, alongside BESCA Vent Hygiene Elite membership, cleaning to BESA TR19® Grease. Vent Hygiene Elite is run by BESCA and independently audited.

Between visits

How long the results last depends on use and care. Here’s what we suggest:

  • Avoid pouring boiling water down to shift grease
  • Tell us when sinks start draining slowly
  • Mention any increase in cooking
  • Don’t store things on top of the trap

The waste we remove leaves with us. There’s no greasy waste left on site after the visit.

A fixed cleaning interval means the trap never gets overfull. We agree the timing with you.
