Grease trap cleaning in Braishfield

Grease trap cleaning in Braishfield, done properly

Every trap is different. Under-sink traps are compact and need frequent attention and larger traps hold more grease before they fill. We look at the trap, how much the kitchen uses it and how quickly it fills and suggest an interval that suits. If you have a small trap that fills too quickly and a larger grease trap that needs emptying, we can help.

For a kitchen in or near Braishfield, the visit is planned ahead, around opening times and the journey, and the deep clean is the same as anywhere: walls, floors, ceilings and equipment.

The sign-off is always in writing: a written report, dated and illustrated with pictures, plus a certificate through the BESCA Vent Hygiene Elite portal when the work is a TR19® Grease clean. It shows what was done and what, if anything, couldn’t be reached.

Why it’s worth doing now in Braishfield

Grease that gets past the trap doesn’t disappear. It can build up in the drains and join fatbergs in the sewer. A well-maintained trap keeps it where it can be removed. Systems in rural buildings are often out of sight and out of mind.

No two sites are the same, so each one gets its own fixed quote. Size, access, the condition of the system and when we can work all play a part.

Why book with us

  • A BESCA Vent Hygiene Elite member, cleaning to BESA TR19® Grease
  • Accredited under CHAS and SafeContractor, with ISO 9001
  • Ventilation hygiene specialists since 2009
  • A single point of contact for sites across the South East and London

The process

Before we leave, we walk the area with whoever is on site. Anything we couldn’t reach or that needs attention is pointed out there and then, and the same goes into the written report. The visit takes anything from under an hour to a few hours, depending on the trap. For a village or hamlet like Braishfield, tell us about narrow lanes, gates and parking when you book.

  1. We locate the trap and check how it’s fitted.
  2. Sinks feeding the trap are taken out of use.
  3. Grease and solids are removed from the trap.
  4. We clean every part of the inside.
  5. We refit it, run water through and remove the waste.

Before we arrive

  • Dig out any earlier paperwork for the system
  • Mention any locked doors, roof access or ceiling voids
  • Tell us about site rules, permits or sign-in

How to get a quote

Quotes are quick. Send a few details and photos, and we normally reply with a fixed quote within one working day. Where a survey is needed, we arrange a time that suits the site.

FAQs for Braishfield

Do you cover smaller places like Braishfield?

Yes. Braishfield is within the area we cover across London and the South East. Just mention lanes, gates or anything else about the site when you book.

Who carries out food hygiene inspections in Braishfield?

That’s Test Valley council, whose environmental health officers carry out food hygiene inspections in Braishfield. Photos from a deep clean are a simple record of what was done and when.

How do you protect the area?

We start with protection: sheeting over floors, worktops and anything close to the work. We tidy up and take our waste away before we leave.

What paperwork should we keep on file?

Anything that proves the system is maintained: our reports and photos, any certificates and your in-house logs. A single log for each site works best.

Which grease traps does the service cover?

Under-sink units, inline traps and interceptors are all covered. Let us know what’s fitted and we’ll plan the visit.

Where does the waste go?

Waste is contained during the work and removed when we leave, from grease and debris to used cleaning water. None of it is left on site.

How long will the sinks be out of use?

As a guide, it takes less than an hour for many under-sink units. A large or very full trap takes longer, and we’ll tell you in advance.

What types of premises do you cover?

We work for restaurants, pubs, hotels, schools, colleges, hospitals, care homes, offices and shops, as well as food production and leisure sites.

Between visits

No system stays clean for ever, but care slows the build-up. Our tips:

  • Don’t rely on hot water to clear grease
  • Book trap cleans at a set interval
  • Tell us if your menu or hours change
  • Keep waste oil out of the drains

If we spot problems beyond the trap, such as a drain that still runs slowly, we will tell you. It may need a drainage specialist to investigate.

Slow sinks and a bad smell are early warnings. Acting at this stage typically prevents a blockage down the line.

The FSA’s food hygiene register shows about 4 cafés, restaurants and staff canteens in and around Braishfield, up to about a mile and a half out. What your team can do, and what needs us

Good housekeeping makes our visits easier, not unnecessary. Clean filters and tidy surfaces slow the build-up, but hidden parts of the system still need specialist attention.

Logging matters as much as cleaning. A dated log of in-house cleaning and checks shows an inspector that the system is looked after between visits, alongside our reports.

When to call us in Braishfield

Oil tipped down the drain instead of being collected fills a grease trap far faster than washing-up. Small amounts soon build up.

It’s time to book a visit if you see:

  • Drains clogged with fat
  • An under-sink unit that needs regular emptying
  • A routine grease trap service
  • An inline trap or interceptor due for cleaning

If you cater for weddings or events at a historic house in the area (Mottisfont Abbey is about 3.3 miles north-west), deep cleans can be fitted between bookings.

Before booking anyone

  • How areas they cannot reach will be recorded
  • Whether a written report and photos are included
  • What insurance they carry
  • Whether a survey comes first

When something else is needed

Grease trap cleaning can’t fix everything, and we’d rather say so up front. It won’t put right:

  • Blockages in the public sewer beyond the property
  • A leaking sink waste or trap connection
  • Grease deep in the drains, which needs jetting by a drainage contractor

Not sure which it is? You can phone us on 0345 646 2711, or email photos and we will tell you honestly before booking.

What the work covers

  • Inline grease traps
  • Kitchen waste pipes
  • Pot wash sinks
  • Under-sink grease traps
  • Restaurants and takeaways
  • School and care home kitchens

Fixed quotes for grease trap cleaning in Braishfield

We don’t publish a price list, because no two systems are the same. The quote depends on:

  • How big the system is
  • When the work can happen, such as evenings, overnight or weekends
  • Access, including roofs, risers and ceiling voids
  • Parking and loading at the site

Leaving it longer rarely makes the work cheaper. Build-up, wear and faults tend to get worse, not better, which can make the next visit longer. If you’re not sure what’s needed, call 0345 646 2711 or email us for straight advice and a fixed quote.

What to send for a quote

There’s no need for technical detail. It helps if you can send:

  • Wide pictures of the system and the area around it
  • Any previous report or certificate
  • The postcode and the type of business
  • Problems your staff have spotted

To get a fixed quote, give us a ring on 0345 646 2711 or email us with the site type, your trading hours and a short description of the system. Photos and the last report, if you have one, make the quote quicker. You will normally have a quote within one working day.
