AHU Cleaning in Park Gate
For AHU cleaning in Park Gate, one call is all it takes: survey, fixed quote, work and sign-off. CHAS and SafeContractor accredited, ISO 9001 and fully insured.
- Air handling units with blocked filters
- Rooms that smell stuffy when the system runs
- Fan sections that haven’t been cleaned in years
AHU cleaning in Park Gate, done properly
We clean the parts of the unit where dirt and moisture gather: the filter section, heating and cooling coils, drain trays, fan and casing. Every clean comes with a TR19® certificate and before and after photos in a report. The work covers dampers and louvres, heating and cooling coils and internal panels, and common reasons people get in touch are air handling units due a clean after building work and dirty fans and fan housings.
Somewhere as small as Park Gate, ducted ventilation is usually limited to a school, a care home, a surgery or a converted business building, wherever there is one, but where it’s fitted, it needs the same inspection and cleaning as anywhere.
Duct Doctor has been trading since 2009, as a BESCA Vent Hygiene Elite member, cleaning to BESA TR19® Grease. We also hold CHAS, SafeContractor and ISO 9001, and we are fully insured.

Fixed quotes for AHU cleaning in Park Gate
There’s no set price list, because no two systems are the same. What we look at:
- The condition of the system
- The size of the system
- Site requirements such as sign-in and permits
- Whether we need access equipment or extra panels
You will not find a price list here, because the cost depends on the site in front of us. Call for a fixed quote, and we will talk you through it.
What to send for a quote
When you call or email, these details help:
- The site address and the type of premises
- Your opening hours and when the area is out of use
- Problems your staff have spotted
- The roof, plant room or outside wall the system runs to
Photos are the quickest way to a quote: wide shots of the system, close-ups of anything that worries you and how we’d get to it. Tell us what kind of site it is and when it’s open, and many jobs can be priced from that alone.
Keeping the system healthy
Think of this as the after-treatment advice, in brief:
- Store the TR19 paperwork where auditors can find it
- Book the next check in line with the report
- Make sure condensate is draining away
- Keep the area around the fresh air intake clear
Photos in the report cover the filters, coils, drain tray, fan and casing, along with anything we couldn’t reach. It also notes faults we spotted, such as damaged panels or a blocked drain.
Keep the area around the intake clear. What’s near the intake ends up in the unit.

What we are called out for in Park Gate
Filters catch most of the dust, but not all of it. The fine dust that passes the filters lands on the coils, the fan and the internal panels, a little more each month.
Most sites get in touch when they notice something like this:
- Dirty filters cutting the airflow
- Fan sections that haven’t been cleaned in years
- Stale or musty smells from the ventilation
- Air handling units due a clean after building work
For workplaces around Swanwick station with mechanical ventilation, cleaning can be done in the evening or at weekends.

Park Gate: your questions answered
Do you cover smaller places like Park Gate?
Yes. Villages and rural sites across the South East are part of our work, Park Gate included. Photos of the system and directions to the site help us plan the visit.
Can ventilation in schools around Park Gate be cleaned out of term?
Yes. Half-terms and the summer break are the natural time for school work. Food Standards Agency records list about 11 schools, colleges and universities with registered kitchens within about a mile and a half of Park Gate. Send us your term dates when you ring 0345 646 2711 or email us, and we’ll fit the work in.
Are you accredited?
We’re a BESCA Vent Hygiene Elite member, cleaning to BESA TR19® Grease. We also hold CHAS, SafeContractor and ISO 9001, and we are fully insured.
Which parts of an air handling unit do you clean?
We clean the filter section, heating and cooling coils, drain trays, fan and internal casing. What happens to the filters is agreed when we quote.
Do you offer maintenance contracts?
Yes. We run scheduled maintenance contracts, with visits at the interval your system needs. Each report recommends when the next visit should be.
Do you clean the ductwork as well?
Yes. Ventilation ductwork cleaning to TR19® Air is part of what we do. It’s often worth doing both at once, and we can survey both on the same visit.
Is there a survey before the work?
Yes. Photos often do the job, while bigger or harder-to-see systems are surveyed on site.
Do you need to switch the unit off?
Yes. The fan must be stopped and the unit isolated, and we time the work to suit the site.
What we do, step by step
Your trading hours come first. Most visits are booked for when the area is out of use, such as evenings, overnight, early mornings or weekends. Once we are in, the area is sheeted and anything that has to be off is turned off and cooled, and the work takes half a day to a full day per unit, with large plant planned over several shifts. Somewhere like Park Gate, lanes, gates and parking are worth mentioning in advance.
- The survey covers the unit, its access and how it can be shut down.
- We sheet the area and the unit is isolated.
- Dirt and debris are removed from each section.
- We clean the coils and clear the tray and drain.
- The unit is closed up and handed back, with a report to follow.
How to prepare
- Have your last certificate or report to hand
- Plan for cooking equipment or plant to be off before we arrive
- Tell us the best time to work, such as after service or at a weekend
How to get a quote
Some systems can be priced from pictures; others need a survey. Big or complicated sites, and systems that are hard to see in pictures, get a survey first. Either way, the quote is fixed before any work is booked.
